Daughters of Zelophehad, Descendants of Joseph in America
1-Chronicles (Divrei Hayamim 1, TCB Chabad) - chapter 7:
14 THE SONS OF MANASSEH: ASRIEL, WHOM SHE BORE; HIS ARAMEAN CONCUBINE BORE MACHIR, THE FATHER OF GILEAD.
Asriel
ARAMEAN - America.
Machir - HaMachiri, America, Capitalism. Mercians in England.
Gilead - Galati, Caledonians, Gaels.
Mercia - Derived from the Old English Mierce or Myrcne ("border folk" or "boundary people"), the name refers to its origins in the Welsh borderland (the Marches).
The name Mercia may be maybe derived from Machir.
https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercia#:
The name 'Mercia' comes from the tribal name Mierce, which means 'boundary folk.'[7] It was probably a name already known in the English midlands and was adopted by the Angles who settled there.[7] The Angles, according to Bede, came from Angulus in northern Germany.[3] They were of the same stock as the East Anglians and the Northumbrians.[8]
Several Mercian noblewomen played an important role in Mercian affairs.[11] This is in contrast to Wessex where women rarely had an active role in the government.[12]
This is a recurring aspect of American History and the story of their antecedents. The women were relatively speaking more prominent than usual.
Numbers (TCB - Chabad) 27:
1 THE DAUGHTERS OF ZELOPHEHAD THE SON OF HEPHER, THE SON OF GILEAD, THE SON OF MACHIR, THE SON OF MANASSEH, OF THE FAMILIES OF MANASSEH THE SON OF JOSEPH, CAME FORWARD, AND HIS DAUGHTERS' NAMES WERE MAHLAH, NOAH, HOGLAH, MILCAH, AND TIRZAH.
2 THEY STOOD BEFORE MOSES AND BEFORE ELEAZAR THE KOHEN AND BEFORE THE CHIEFTAINS AND THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE TENT OF MEETING, SAYING,
3 "OUR FATHER DIED IN THE DESERT, BUT HE WAS NOT IN THE ASSEMBLY THAT BANDED TOGETHER AGAINST THE LORD IN KORAH'S ASSEMBLY, BUT HE DIED FOR HIS OWN SIN, AND HE HAD NO SONS.
4 WHY SHOULD OUR FATHER'S NAME BE ELIMINATED FROM HIS FAMILY BECAUSE HE HAD NO SON? GIVE US A PORTION ALONG WITH OUR FATHER'S BROTHERS. "
5 SO MOSES BROUGHT THEIR CASE BEFORE THE LORD.
6 THE LORD SPOKE TO MOSES, SAYING:
7 ZELOPHEHAD'S DAUGHTERS SPEAK JUSTLY. YOU SHALL CERTAINLY GIVE THEM A PORTION OF INHERITANCE ALONG WITH THEIR FATHER'S BROTHERS, AND YOU SHALL TRANSFER THEIR FATHER'S INHERITANCE TO THEM.
1-Chronicles ( TCB - Chabad) 7:
15 AND MACHIR TOOK A WIFE OF HUPPIM AND OF SHUPPIM, AND THE NAME OF HIS SISTER WAS MAACAH, AND THE NAME OF THE SECOND WAS ZELOPHEHAD, AND ZELOPHEHAD HAD DAUGHTERS.15 AND MACHIR TOOK A WIFE OF HUPPIM AND OF SHUPPIM, AND THE NAME OF HIS SISTER WAS MAACAH, AND THE NAME OF THE SECOND WAS ZELOPHEHAD, AND ZELOPHEHAD HAD DAUGHTERS.
Women were important among the early settlers of America. The women were active and more self-assertive when compared to those of England. The daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 27) descended from Machir of Manasseh in the Bible demanded and received an equal portion in the inheritance of their father. The Talmud (Baba Batra 119b) taught that Zelophehad's daughters were wise, Torah students, and righteous. They demonstrated their wisdom by raising their case in a timely fashion, just as Moses was expounding the law of levirate marriage, or yibbum, and they argued for their inheritance by analogy to that law. The daughters also demonstrated their righteousness by marrying men who were fitting for them. In regard to the names of the daughters Mahlah means "forgiven", Noah means "movement", Milcah means "queen", Tirzah means "pleasing", Hoglah means "circling/dancing."
MAACAH - cf. Emain Macah in Northern Ireland.
# Armagh. The name Emain Macha is thus explained as "Macha's twins". locally for Armagh comes from the Irish, Ard Macha, 'the heights of Macha'. Emain Macha is pronounced "Ay-vuhn Vah-kah" or "Ay-mawn Ma-kah" "Ay-mawn Ma-kah" (approximately /e v n v k / or / m n m k /). It is an ancient Irish name for the Navan Fort in Armagh, Northern Ireland, often spelled "Eamhain Mhacha" in Modern Irish. #
Even Maacah.
Small Aramean kingdom east of the Sea of Galilee (I Chron. xix. 6). Its territory was in the region assigned to the half-tribe of Manasseh east of the Jordan.
The word "Avnah" is interchangeable with AMANAH in the Hebrew Bible, cf.
2-Kings (TCB Chabad) 5:
12 ARE NOT AMANAH (written as "Avnah") AND PARPAR, THE RIVERS OF DAMASCUS, BETTER THAN ALL THE WATERS OF ISRAEL? WILL I NOT IMMERSE MYSELF IN THEM AND BECOME CLEAN?" AND HE TURNED AND WENT AWAY IN ANGER.
This is suggestive concenring the equation of the Irish Name Emain Macha with the Hebrew Even Maacah.
It is probable that the city Abel of Beth-Maachah was in Naphtali (i2-Samuel 20. 15)
Abel connotes stream and may also interchange with Even.
1-Chronicles ( TCB - Chabad) 7:
16 AND MAACAH THE WIFE OF GILEAD BORE A SON, AND SHE NAMED HIM PERESH, AND HIS BROTHER'S NAME WAS SHERESH, AND HIS SONS WERE ULAM AND REKEM.
Peresh - Parissi in York and in France (Paris), also Peresh - Parissi - Frissians.
# Several English place names appear to derive from 'Frisian' or contain elements associated with Frisian settlers. Freasley, Friesthorpe, Frieston, Frizinghall, Frisby, Frismarsh, and Frizenham all contain name elements that linguists have linked to Frisian origin. These places are concentrated in the Midlands and eastern England - exactly where you'd expect Frisian settlers to have landed after crossing the North Sea. While some of these etymologies are debated, the pattern is consistent enough to suggest a genuine Frisian presence. #
Also the Flemings from Belgium and Pembroke in Southwest Wales.
1-Chronicles ( TCB - Chabad) 7:

20 AND THE SONS OF EPHRAIM: SHUTHELAH, AND BERED HIS SON, AND TAHATH HIS SON, AND ELADAH HIS SON, AND TAHATH HIS SON.
Ephraim - the Aigel (Bull-Calf) John Bull, Angles-Aigloi.
SHUTHELAH - Scotland
Bered - Brigants in Ireland Northern England and Switzerland.
Tahath - Teutons.
