Homosexuality is forbidden by the Bible (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Deuteronomy 23:17).
The Kings of Judah strove to wipe out homosexuality (1-Kings 14:22,25, 15:11, 2-Kings 23:7).
The Book of Job describes homosexuality as a debilitating curse (Job 36:14 with Commentary and Translation) !

Scripture says homosexuality is forbidden:
Leviticus 18
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. 23 Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion....

2. The Whole Nation Has a Responsibility to Prevent Perversion.
Not only the individual was to be punished for such matters but the whole nation was liable to suffer.
The punishment for homosexuality and related offences was Exile.
Leviticus 18:
24 Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. 29 For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the LORD your God.
Homosexuals sometimes engage in bestiality with large and small animals. One thing leads to another.
Exodus 22:
19 'Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
Leviticus 20:
13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

The Bible is also against transvestism.
Deuteronomy 22:
5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.
Nowadays men dressing and acting like women etc is accepted in society, even children shows sometimes seem to promote it.
The Bible however forbids this. Transvestism, especially boys dressing up as girls, etc, may lead to homosexuality. There are known instances of men becoming homosexuals and blaming their mothers for dressing them in girls clothes when they were children. As noted, Childrens entertainment programs featuring clowns and popular comedies etc often involve transvestism.

4. All Promiscuity is Forbidden
In Biblical Hebrew the word Kadosh means dedicated to, consecrated. It is usually translated as Holy.
It may also be used to describe a negative attitude.
In the Hebrew Bible we have mention of a female "kadeyshah" and/or a male "kadesh". This means, in the feminine, a girl or woman dedicated to promiscuity.
In the masculine, it means a male who has given himself over to homosexuality.
The word "kadesh" is often transalted as male temple prostitute, and "kadeyshah" as female temple prostitute. The Canaaanites used to have male or female prostitutes in their temples.
It is supposed that the terms kadesh or Kadeyshah refers to Israelites who copied the Canaanite practice.
This is however not necessarily so.
The term could equally be applied to anyone who had given themselves over to illicit sex.
There is an injunction:
None of the daughters of Israel shall be a kedayshah (Deuteronomy 23:17).
This is translated as , # None of the daughters of Israel shall be used for prostitution. #
Rabbinical Authorities explained this verse to prohibit all illicit sex, whether for money, religion, or simple lust.
This is the plain meaning of the Hebrew Biblical text.
So too, there is a prohibition against being a kadesh in the masculine. This is translated as male temple prostitute but it means any male whatsoever who is used for sex. This is forbidden.
Deuteronomy 23:
17 None of the daughters of Israel shall be used for prostitution [kedayshah]; none of the sons of Israel shall be used for sex [kedesh]. 18 You shall not bring the fee of a kedeysheh or the wages of a kedesh [ homosexual] into the house of the Lord your God in payment for any vow, for both of these are abhorrent to the LORD your God.
Even though the Bible above (Deuteronomy 23:17-18) prohibits illicit heterosexual and homosexual sex almost in the same breath, it still distinguishes between them. For any type of homosexuality a person under certain circumstances was liable to be executed. Illicit heterosexual sex, as long as it was not with a married woman, etc, was not really to be punishable by the courts but rather was left to the Discretion of Heaven. All sin may be forgiven by God if the sinner repents properly.

5. Kings of Judah who Sought to Wipe Out Homosexuality.
In Biblical Times the Israelites conquered the Land of Canaan and divided it amongst their Tribes. When Solomon died the northern Ten Tribes rebelled and set up their own Kingdom of Israel in the north. The Kingdom of Judah remained in the south. In the time of King Rehoboam, the People of Judah sinned against God, :
1-Kings 14:
22 Judah did what was evil in the sight of the Lord; they provoked him to jealousy with their sins that they committed, more than all that their ancestors had done. 23 For they also built for themselves high places, pillars, and sacred poles on every high hill and under every green tree; 24 there were also kedoshim [male prostitutes] in the land. They committed all the abominations of the nations that the LORD drove out before the people of Israel.
King Asa of Judah, son of Abiah, son of Rehoboam, began to get rid of the homosexuals in Judah.
1-Kings 15:
11 Asa did what was right in the sight of the LORD, as his father David had done. 12 He removed the kedoshim [male prostitutes] out of the land, and removed all the idols that his ancestors had made.
After Asa there were still a few homos left so his son Jehoshaphat finished the job.
King Jehoshaphat of Judah, son of Asa, wiped out all the remaining male homosexuals [kedoshim] in the land of Judah.
1-Kings 22:
45 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his power that he showed, and how he waged war, are they not written in the Book of the Annals of the Kings of Judah? 46 The remnant of the male prostitutes [kedoshim] who were still in the land from the days of his father Asa, he exterminated.
After Asa there was a series of good and bad kings over Judah culminating with Josiah son of Amon who undertook to reform the Kingdom
King Josiah son of Amon destroyed the houses of male prostitution that had been set up in the Temple Precincts after the Canaanite custom.
2-Kings 23:
7 He broke down the houses of the [kedoshim] male temple prostitutes that were in the house of the Lord, where the women did weaving for Asherah.
6. The Children are in Danger!
Homosexuality is not an isolated offence having no effect on the community. On the contrary, it negativley influences everybody in the Community, including children.
Tolerating homosexuality in effect means allowing the victimization of children.

* Homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor.
* 73% of all homosexuals have had sex with boys under 19 years of age.
* Many homosexuals admit that they are pedophiles: "The love between men and boys is at the foundation of homosexuality".
In the same way as one would not allow the physical safety of children to be threatened so too should the sexual integrity of infants and others be protected.
Homosexuality should be forbidden.

7. The Book of Job. Homosexuality is not only a Transgression: It is also a punishment!
In the Book of Job (chapter 37) Elihu explains to Job that repentance is possible. The reprobates who refuses to repent will often find themselves in serious difficulties. Even in extreme circumstances however they can turn from their froward ways and be healed.
If they persist they face disaster.
Job 36:
1 Elihu continued and said:
2 Bear with me a little, and I will show you,
for I have yet something to say on God's behalf.
3 I will bring my knowledge from far away,
and ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 For truly my words are not false;
one who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
5 'Surely God is mighty and does not despise any;
HE is mighty in strength of understanding.
6 HE does not keep the wicked alive,
but gives the afflicted their right.
7 HE does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous,
but with kings on the throne
HE sets them for ever, and they are exalted.
8 And if they are bound in fetters
and caught in the cords of affliction,
9 then HE declares to them their work
and their transgressions, that they are behaving arrogantly.
10 HE opens their ears to instruction,
and commands that they return from iniquity.
11 If they listen, and serve HIM,
they complete their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasantness.
12 But if they do not listen, they shall perish by the sword,
and die without knowledge.
The exhortation above by Elihu may be understood as applying to rulers and kings. If these sin and suffer they may turn back to the truth and be saved. If they do not do so they shall face more troubles and afflictions.
Elihu then addresses they who do not acknowledge God in general.
Job 36:
13 'The godless in heart cherish anger;
they do not cry for help when he binds them.
14 They die in their youth,
and their life ends in shame.
Elihu then continues to explain that God is great, we cannot understand HIM, but nevertheless we should turn to HIM.
The last expression quoted above, "their life ends in shame" (Job 36:14) in Hebrew is:
"VeChayatam ba-Kadoshim".
Literally this means that their life-force (Chayatam) ends in homosexuality in "kadoshim" (see Daat Mikra on Sefer Eiyov by Amos Chacham).
This expression, "their life ends in shame", refers especially to youth as it says just beforehand, "they die in their youth" (Job 37:14). Homosexuals target youths. The younger they are the more homos prefer them.
Targum Yehonatan explains the expression "VeChayatam ba-Kadoshim"Â to mean, "their life-force is dissipated in sexual perversion".
The Commentary Mestudat Tsion confirms that the expression "kedoshim" used here refers to those,
#who give themselves over to homosexuality as it says, "none of the sons of Israel shall be used for sex [kedesh]" (Deuteronomy 23:17) #.
Mestudat David says, "the life-force of their being shall go out of them like that which happens to kedoshim [male prostitutes], meaning a disgraceful death as fitting for them".
Homosexuality destroys, weakens, and brings a curse with it.
It does this physically and psychologically. Homosexuality is a physical affliction even before we consider the numerous sicknesses, and plagues (such as AIDS) associated with it and spread by it.

8. The God of the Bible Wants us to Live!
God want us to receive HIS Blessing and live.
Let us do so.
Deuteronomy 30:
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, 20 loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him; for that means life to you and length of days, so that you may live in the land that the LORD swore to give to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
