2. The Author, Eochaidh Og Coinn.
Eochaidh Og Coinn wrote us:
In pre Christian Ireland they had "tobar neofa" in English it's "holy wells", they were also called ladies wells
"Wells of the holy ones" (grammatically) "Wells used by men," and
"Ladies wells" - Attended by ladies
After the coming Christianity they were used for myth and healing.
If you know mikvoth law as it was in the old times and as it developed you know we started with springs and natural gatherings of water even stagnant rain water, later developing into the rainwater collecting law compliant modern marvels they are now.
Most but not all Irish mikvoth are of the older type, natural gatherings or spring fed, however many show signs of early modernization
I'll send a few photos for your eyes to judge, we have touching holes and everything.
I'll also add a couple of maps of the 3000 locations in which they are found.
The info about holy wells is common knowledge, you may publish it
It's after you study mikvoth that you understand what they are, and can identify what we have here.

3. Brit-Am Note 2: Information looks good!
[Most of the photos appear to show steps leading into the water designed in such a way that the person could step into a special prepared deeper spot that would cover all, or most, of the body and then return to a more shallow depth.
These photos suggest that in Ancient Ireland ritual bathing was conducted at special water-places. This would be parallel to the Biblical Practice. The Druids of Britain and Ireland had many practices that were Biblical in origin.
