1. Introduction. The Ten Tribes Video Clip.
Recently (ca. August 2012) Glenn Beck released a YouTube Clip in which the USA is identified as the Ten Tribes of Israel. The video lasted a bit more than 20 minutes. Half of it concerned the Lost Ten Tribes and the USA. Beck expressly identified the People of the USA with the Ten Tribes. He also stressed the importance of Judah i.e. the Jews. He described the Jews as the ongoing Spiritual Source of Western Civilization. The other half of the video discussed other matters. The original video was produced by BLAZE Productions. We took this video and edited it, leaving only the Lost Ten Tribes message. This improved version received a large number of viewers but eventually Google-YouTube took it down apparently after a complaint from BLAZE. It is no longer available. There was however ANOTHER video clip we produced, shwn below that contains part of the relevant Ten Tribes material that Gleen Beck spoke of.
Update October, 2020. The original Video of Glenn Beck identifying the USA with the Ten Tribes seems to have been taken down and is no longer available for public viewing. Perhaps Glenn Beck, or those around him, regret having posted it? So too, a shortened version of the talk by Beck with all the Ten Tribe passages especially produced by Brit-Am has been removed from YouTube. At all events here is a Brit-Am Clip that was produced at the time in question in reaction to what Glenn Beck had posted. The clip shows SOME of the relevant excerpts from the talk by Glenn Beck about the TTs, along with interspersed excerpts from talks on the same subject by Yair Davidiy.
The talk on the Ten Tribes by Glenn Beck was quite a surprise for many people. It was a new development Glenn Beck is well-known and very popular in pro-Israel American patriotic circles. Glenn Beck has been a Mormon since 1999. The Mormons believe that members of their Church are descended from the Ten Tribes. Until recently most Mormons were of West European descent. There are some Mormons who relate to their Lost Ten Tribes origin in a similar way as do British Israel and Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations. Brit-Am supporter, the linguistics scholar, Dr Terry Blodgett of Utah ('Phonological Similarities in Germanic & Hebrew'), is himself a Mormon and especially notable in this regard. He also has done very valubale reseach of his own and has been a supporter of Brit-Am. The fact that some Mormons hold beliefs similar to those of British Israel was discussed by Craig White. Yair Davidiy also met groups of Mormon youths in Jerusalem and at least some them seem to have held similar beliefs to those of Brit-Am.

The majority of Mormons however may not place much emphasis on the Ten Tribes aspect of their creed or if they do, they may have a different conception than we do.

#4. Bill Rasmussen: The Ten Tribes Version of Glenn Beck is not the same as that of Brit-Am!
The Ten Tribes Ancestry version expounded on the Video Clip by Glenn Beck is similar to that of Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations.
Beck says that he never realized the importance of this message until after 9/11 of 2011.
He indicates that his present convictions in this regard are the results of a recent phenomenon. This shall be discussed more below.
Glenn Beck could become an important ally in expounding this message.
A suggestion was made that we try to contact him.

Whether contact will ever be made or has already been made by others on our behalf is less important than the fact that the message is getting out.
The notes and comments below help place the issue in perspective.

2. Who is Glenn Beck?
Wikipedia tells us:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Beck
Quoted Extracts:
Glenn Edward Lee Beck (born February 10, 1964) is a politically conservative American television and radio host, political commentator, author, television network producer, media personality, and entrepreneur. He hosts the Glenn Beck Radio Program, a nationally syndicated talk-radio show that airs throughout the United States on Premiere Radio Networks. He formerly hosted the Glenn Beck television program, which ran from January 2006 to October 2008 on HLN and from January 2009 to June 2011 on the Fox News Channel. Beck has authored six New York Times bestselling books. Beck is the founder and CEO of Mercury Radio Arts, a multimedia production company through which he produces content for radio, television, publishing, the stage, and the Internet.... In 2012, The Hollywood Reporter named Beck on its Digital Power Fifty list.
Beck's supporters praise him as a constitutional stalwart defending traditional American values,[18] while his critics contend he promotes conspiracy theories and employs incendiary rhetoric for ratings.
Glenn Edward Lee Beck was born in Everett, Washington ...He is descended from German immigrants who came to the United States in the 19th century. Beck was raised as a Roman Catholic ...
In 1999, Beck married his second wife, Tania. After they went looking for a faith on a church tour together, they joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October 1999, partly at the urging of his daughter Mary.
In July 2011, Beck leased a house in the Fort Worth suburb of Westlake, Texas. In 2012, he moved his main TV and radio studios to Dallas,
Texas.
The Wikipedia article goes on to discuss aspects of his career and the sources of his political doctrine.
Beck is too steeped in Conspiracy Theories for our taste. Some of the conspiracy sources the article says he quotes from in our opinion are false or highly suspect.
Nevertheless we have viewed his talks on other issues a few times. His views are consistent with those of Biblically-conscious Israelties.
He speaks well, is genuine, and has a positive message.
He is also pro-Jewish and seems to go out of his way to make his messages palatable to Jewish audiences as well as Christian ones.
In addition to all the above, unlike us, Glenn has experience, money, resources, and a team of professionals at his beck.

3. What did Glenn Actually Say about the Ten Tribes?
See:
#1. Craig White: Glenn Bleck Believes in the USA being from the Ten Tribes, gives talk on Israel and the American Flag
http://hebrewnations.com/features/now4/2111.html#a1
The relevant talk show, The Blaze, runs for ca. 22 minutes. The section about the Ten Tribes runs from 6.20 (the points on the US flag begin at ca. 10.20) to ca. 17 i..e. ca. 11 minutes. The rest of the talk concentrates on emphasizing the importance of the Bible for the individual family and the role of the Bible in American History.
Beck explained that the Ten Tribes set up their own kingdom. God warned the rebellious northern kingdom to stop its sinning, listen to Judah, or else face disaster. They did not listen. Consequnetly, the Assyrians took the Israelties from the Ten Tribes captive. He says that Assyrians and Israelites crossed the Caucasus to the north. That is where the term Caucasian came from. The Assyrians went into Italy, Germany, and Russia. The Israelites went to the coastlines. Later they gave rise to the pilgrims who founded the USA.
Judah, i.e. the Jews, kept the Torah alive.
'All of Western Civilization is based on the laws of Israel. And our entire history is directly tied to this moment. Our Pilgrims thought they were completing the journey out of captivity.'
Beck believes the Statue of Liberty holding tablets is a more modern representation of Moses holding the Ten Commandments, and he focused attention on the symbols on the both the presidential seal and the Great Seal of the United States.
On the Presidential Seal, he connected the artwork of sun rays, the moon and stars to Joseph who had a dream described in the Book of Genesis.
"When Joseph from the Bible is with his brothers, he tells his brothers that he had a dream. And he said, 'I had a dream where the sun, the moon and the stars all bowed down to me,'" Beck explained.
He then noted the prominent theme of the number 13 on the seal.
"There's strong symbolism with the number 13 being represented everywhere: 13 arrows, 13 stripes, 13 stars, 13 olives," he said.
But is that figure merely a reflection of the 13 original American colonies?
"That's what everyone will tell you, and that is one answer. But there is another one that many people believe," Beck said.
"What else is 13?... the 12 tribes of Israel."
As far as why 12 tribes of Israel would be represented by the number 13 and not 12, Beck stated, "The Tribe of Joseph split into Manassah and Ephraim, and those were in northern Israel. That's the northern kingdom of Israel. That's the thirteen tribes."
As he examined the Great Seal of the U.S., Beck noted that above the eagle representing America, there are "13 stars in the shape of the Star of David."
Surrounding the grouping of stars, he pointed out the artwork of clouds and light from 'fire.'
"When Moses led his people out of Egypt, what did they follow during the day? A cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night. That's what this means," he said.
He even unearthed the original proposed seal for the nation, which was promoted by Founding Fathers Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin.
Featuring the motto 'Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God,' the scene depicts the nation of Israel during its Exodus out of Egyptian slavery.
"Moses leading the Israelites across the Red Sea by a pillar of fire. Hello?" voiced Beck. "Look at the clouds around the fire in the center in exactly the same position as the eagle [seal]."

4. What were the sources of his delivery? Steven Spykerman.
The open simplistic appearance of Beck may be deceptive. He could be quite an intellectual capable of absorbing enormous amounts of information, retaining essential points and regurgitating it under his own impression. His accomplishments speak for themselves.
Nevertheless it seems that what he says is derived from other sources.
(1) Assyrians
His associating of the Assyrians with the Germans, Russians, and Italians could come from (a) British Israel who identified the Germans with Assyrians. This was based on German legends and traditions. (b) The Assyrian - Russian equation may come from some archaeological finds. The barrier-breaking researcher, Immanuel Velikovsky, wrote an article on the Khazars saying that the Assyrians had conquered southern Russia. [Archaeological Evidence now indicates the same.] The Assyrians going to Italy may be from Herbert Armstrong Church of God offshoots (e.g. Ernest L. Martin, "The People That History Forgot") and Dr. Hoeh who spoke of the migrations of Babylonians to Italy. Beck may have conflated the Assyrians and Babylonians together, or his sources did.
(2) Statue of Liberty and Moses association. This is a new one to me.
(3) Pillar of Cloud Circle above the Eagle Head.
Addenda from October, 2020.
Raw material for the talk by Glenn Beck may have come from Steven Spykerman. In a well-illustrated booklet, "Who Are You America? Time to Lift Your Prophetic Veil," U.K, 45 pages, undated but ca. 2005, Stephen Spykerman discussed the Presidential Seal of the USA. [Spykerman acknowledges taking his material at least in part from Raymond Capt who probably had taken it from someone else]. Some of the Illustrations used by Beck in his presentation seemed similar to those of Spykerman. Shortly before the presentation Spykerman had been present at an event where both he and Beck spoke and he gave a copy of his booklet to a mutual acquaintance. Some time later Spykerman met Beck who, according to Spykerman, admitted borrowing his material from Spykerman but claimed he was barred from publicly admitting it for political reasons. Ironically Yair Davidiy later had a disagreement with Spykerman when the later in a cut-and-paste operation took masses of Brit-Am material from the Web and published it as his own work.
Yair Davidiy too had discussed the Great Seal and its symbolism in the Brit-Am work "The Tribes." We were not the first to do this and the subject had come up in past Identity Literature. We had not however mentioned the Pillar of Cloud, as Spykerman had done.
We looked up the 45-page booklet by Spykerman. Sure enough, on pages 26-27 it discusses the US Great Seal. The Star of David configuration above the eagle head is encompassed by a golden circle followed by a circle of clouds. These are compared to the Pillar of Fire and the Pillar of Clouds of Exodus 33:9.
Beck (at point 14:20-14:54) says the configuration of 13 stars in the form of the Star of David above the eagle head was in honor of Chaim Solomon a Jewish financier who helped the American Revolution. The ring of clouds around it was the Pillar of Cloud. This is confirmed by the original suggested image for the Great Seal that had depicted Moses leading the Israelites through the Red Sea following a Pillar of Fire and a Pillar of Clouds.

5. Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations Does NOT Seem to be the Primary Source of his Information!
It may be that much of our literature has been perused by Beck and his team. Or it may not. See the message from Daniel Duffield below. For all we know he still remains ignorant of our enlightening facts and insights.
He seems to place a lot of emphasis on the importance of the Jews and the Torah.
Who knows if the importance we attach to Rabbinical sources to confirm our interpretations and open new vistas is not just what he may be looking for? Perhaps he already knows about us?

6. Daniel Duffield: A Possible Recent Brit-Am and/or Steven Collins Influence on Glenn Beck!
Yair, I wrote a fictional book set in Utah called "The Gate to the Timeless Mountain" and published it for Amazon Kindle about a year ago. I sent a hard copy of the book to Glenn Beck about 4 months ago and he promised in his reply to read it. In the last chapter of my book the main character discovers his Israelite identity by finding Brit-Am and Steve Collinswebsites. So if Glenn did read my book he would be aware of Brit-Am. My book has only sold a few hundred copies, but maybe HaShem's main purpose in me writing the book was to get the message of 10 Israel to Glenn Beck. Usually most of us are unaware of the most of the details and situations HaShem uses to complete His promises and plans to accomplish His will. I believe HaShem is using Glenn Beck in a way to awaken both of HaShem's Great 2 Houses (Joseph and Judah). These are prophectic times we live in! May the Almighty fulfill the promised reconciliation and redemption of the entire House of Israel!Feel free to post my letter. May the Almighty continue to bless the work that you do.

9. Steve Mathe: Halleluyah!
Shalom Yair!
The "identity" of the Ten Tribes message is going out yet on another channel. The more the better. Halleluyah!
Yes, it is by Glenn Beck, the same message that went out on the 12th. However, the audience is enlarged by WND. Halleluyah!
I have been waiting to see this for a very long time. It is finally here... and I am very glad! Halleluyah!!

10. Conclusion. A Welcome Development
Wherever Glenn Beck derived his information from and whether or not he ever directly takes notice of Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations it is good that someone of his stature has begun to address the issue.
We hope that this is just a beginning of something bigger and better. It is a welcome development.
ps. The fact that since writing the above in 2012 the Video Clip by Beck seems in 2020 to be unavailable is also of interest.
