The term Cyrus in addition to referring to the Persian monarch of that name also according to Commentaries referred to Ephraim and Joseph especially as lead by the Messiah son of Joseph.

Cyrus in future prophecies represents the task of the Messiah son of Joseph.
President Truman supported the establishment of the State of Israel and identified himself with Cyrus. He represented the forces of Joseph in the End Times.
