1. Query from Craig White
Hi Yair,
Have you seen the attached article? Your magazine is mentioned on pages 3, 9, 10.
Is there anything to counter their view that Queen Victoria did not believe in circumcision or not? Of course this is not a big 'proof' for or against our views on the tribes of Israel. Â it is very minor.
Your views/input would be welcomed.
Regardless, do keep up the very good work you are engaged with!
Warmest regards,
Craig

The British Royal Family's Circumcision Tradition.pdf
Brit-Am Comments:
This article is against the popular belief that British Monarchs have been circumcised since the ascendancy of the Hanoverian Monarchs, now known as the House of Windsor.
The authors seem willing to reluctantly concede that "the reported circumcision of Prince Charles by the mohel Jacob Snowman in 1948" may have been correct. All other reports of Royal snipping they consider the equivalent of Urban Legend. They are openly prejudiced on the issue. They have no evidence for what they say but could reply that they do not need proof. Their argument is that since no firm proofs are available (other than anecdotal reports) then circumcisions of Royal heirs other than Prince Charles never took place.
Nevertheless the article is interesting and of value if only for the way the issue is presented.
They refer to Brit-Am sources, e.g.
" Brit-Am, a Zionist splinter group of the British-Israelite movement (Brit-Am Now, 2004b)"
This description of Brit-Am could be acceptable as long no confusion resulted between ourselves and the BIWF (British Israel World Federation) with whom we are at loggerheads due to the anti-Jewish sentiments found in some of their publications and other matters.Â

3. Circumcision and the Hanoverians
We are interested in spreading knowledge identifying descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes.
Whether or now a royal buck kept his foreskin or did not is a minor point in our eyes.
Nevertheless, I would not be surprised to find that Hanoverian Monarchs did have the practise.
They were conservative and perhaps of limited abilities but there was a certain openness about them that would have enabled them to accept it.
The House of Hanover were Princes of Hanover in West Germany. Due to circumstances the ruler of Hanover, George Louis, inherited the Throne of Britain becoming George 1 (reigned 1714-27).
Subsequently, the reigning monarch of Britain was also ruler of Hanover until 1837.
George I of Great Britain

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At the age of 54, after the death of Queen Anne of Great Britain, George ascended the British throne as the first monarch of the House of Hanover. Although over fifty Roman Catholics bore closer blood relationships to Anne, the Act of Settlement 1701 prohibited Catholics from inheriting the British throne; George was Anne's closest living Protestant relative. In reaction, Jacobites attempted to depose George and replace him with Anne's Catholic half-brother, James Francis Edward Stuart, but their attempts failed.
The dynasty provided six British monarchs until Queen Victoria married Prince Albert.
In 1901, when Queen Victoria died, her son and heir Edward VII became the first British Monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Edward taking his family name from that of his father, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
This is the present dynasty now known as the House of Windsor.

4. Getting Back to the Point (Pun Intended)
Britain's Royal Families: The Complete Genealogy.
CHAPTER EIGHT. The House of Hanover
http://erenow.com/biographies/britainsroyalfamilies/12.html
Extract:
George I divorced his wife for adultery, and shut her up in a castle for the rest of her life. Several brothers and sons of George III made morganatic, or unofficial, and therefore unsuitable, marriages, most notably the future George IV. Some Hanoverian males lived openly in sin with their mistresses, many for years. It was the marriages of his brothers that shocked George III, a moral-minded man, into passing the Royal Marriages Act in 1772. This Act, which still applies to the royal family today, provides that any marriage made by any of the descendants of George II without the consent of the sovereign automatically becomes null and void. Should the sovereign withhold consent to a projected marriage, the Prince or Princess wishing to make it may wait until he or she reaches the age of 25 and then apply to the Privy Council for assent. This being given, the marriage may be lawfully entered into.Â
Brit-Am:
The chapter continues to give a list of all the Hanoverian monarchs of England and their brothers and shows how nearly ALL of them had illegitimate children.
Our impression is that circumcision was practiced in Britain in the 1800s and 1900s by members of the Middle Class and some of the aristocracy or its offshoots. It may have been practised much earlier.
If it were to be found that many of non-official progeny of the Hanoverian rulers also kept this covenant it would indicate that the monarchs themselves did the same.

5. WHO ARE THE TRUE KINGS OF ENGLAND????
Britain's Royal Families: The Complete Genealogy.
CHAPTER EIGHT. The House of Hanover
# George III is alleged to have married secretly, on 17 April, 1759, a Quakeress called Hannah Lightfoot, daugher of a Wapping shoemaker, who is said to have borne him three children.... If George III did make such a marriage when he was Prince of Wales, before the passing of the Royal Marriages Act in 1772, then his subsequent marriage to Queen Charlotte was bigamous, and every monarch of Britain since has been a usurper, the rightful heirs of George III being his children by Hannah Lightfoot, if they ever existed. #

6. Midrash: Joseph Circumcised the Egyptians!!
The Midrash says that Joseph when he became ruler of Egypt had all the Egyptians circumcised. This indicates that circumcision is beneficial not only for Israelites but for all men.

7. Circumcision, Ephraimites, and Germany
[The following information was received from Rabbi Avraham Feld]
The Ephraimites are Christians who believe they descend from the Ten Tribes due to instinctive realization. They also take an interest in our literature and that of others and sometimes use it. That is where our interests overlap. There are differences of opinion within the Ephraimite Movement as to what degree of Hebrew or Jewish belief and practice should be adopted. Some are anti-Jewish but others are very pro-Jewish.
The Ephraimites are mainly of West European origin but they also include a somewhat large separate Germany division which is influential. The German Ephraimites are mainly against closer connections to Judah and work to influence the others in that direction. The subject of circumcision recently arose in Ephraimite discussions. A leading Ephraimite leader (who is otherwise a friend of ours but on some issues we differ. He is also usually pro-Jewish ) was flown to Germany to speak against circumcision amongst Christians.

(a) Is Circumcision to be banned in Continental Europe?
THE CROWN JEW. If Prince Harry's parents bucked the royal tradition of using mohels, will it inflame the circumcision war?
By Rachel Shukert

But what is certainly clear is that, to paraphrase Perchik from Fiddler On the Roof (the movie, not the play), the winds of foreskins are beginning to blow, all over Europe. Sweden enacted a law in 2001 allowing only those certified by the National Board of Health to perform circumcisions and recommends, but does not require, hospitals to offer them; the Norwegian Center Party has proposed legislation banning them altogether on males under the age of 18. In May of this year a court in Cologne, Germany, ruled that 'non-therapeutic circumcision amounted to bodily injury and is a criminal offense under its jurisdiction'; and on Aug. 21, Rabbi David Goldberg was indicted for performing a circumcision in Bavaria. This week, a court in Berlin made circumcision officially legal but extended the authority to perform them only to doctors, which some say remains an impingement on the most elemental of Jewish rites in a country where that's all still a pretty touchy subject.

(b) Is The British Royal Family Secretly Jewish?

The Sovereign Bible that all British Kings and Queens use at their Coronation has been in Hebrew since 1714.
There have been widespread rumours since George 1 ( coronation 1714 ) that the British Royal Family are secretly jewish.
The Prince of Wales, Charles, was circumcised by Rabbi Jacob Snowman M.D, at the time the leading mohel in London and the circumciser to the Royal Family. This has long been a source of pride within the British jewish community.Rabbi Jacob Snowman M.D has only ever circumcised jewish patients.
All British Kings have been circumcised by jewish Doctors since 1714.

(c) How many men are circumcised?
https://www.menshealthforum.org.uk/circumcision-faqs
Nobody really knows but organisations campaigning against it estimate that worldwide about one in four males are circumcised.
National rates vary widely from about 80% of males in the USA to 2% in Sweden, where non-medical circumcision is now illegal in children. In the UK, the number of circumcisions for medical reasons has fallen from 35% of English boys in the 1930s to 6.5% in the 1980s and today some 12,200 such circumcisions are performed annually.Â

(d) Male circumcision: US officials suggest benefits outweigh risks
http://www.theweek.co.uk/health-science/61487/denmark-to-vote-on-male-circumcision-ban
In the UK, approximately one third of men were circumcised before the introduction of the National Health Service in 1948, but rates soon began to fall as the organisation deemed that the operation was not medically necessary and therefore would not be covered. Today, approximately 9 per cent of men in the UK are circumcised, the BBC reports.
The practice of male circumcision is also falling in the US, where rates of circumcision were traditionally been much higher, hovering around 60 per cent for the past two decades.
Some urologists, including Dr Charles Flack say that although circumcisions are not necessary, "penile cancer occurs only in uncircumcised males and uncircumcised males have a higher risk of HIV infection than circumcised males".Â
The New York Times says that while circumcision may protect men from infection by HIV-positive women, it does not protect women from infection by men, and there is no definitive data that it protects men who have sex with men from infection.
