Present Simple
I do, I do do
"I" in Hebrew is "ani" or sometimes "anochi." Nevertheless the "I" sound is also found represented by the letter "yud."
The letter "yud" is sounded like "ee" or sometimes like "i."
"yud" at the end of a noun connotes "mine" i.e. "baiti" means "my house, my home". "Bait" means house or home and when the "yud" is attached to it it means "my house" or "my home." The "I" is derived from "yud." In Endlish "I" is a First Person Pronoun. In Hebrew it is a First Person suffix but it is still the First Person.

the English "do" derives from a Hebrew Root "da" or "do" connoting "move, movement."

I am doing
We saw "I" as from the Hebrew letter "yud."
"am" from the Hebrew "im" connoting "with" implying the present tenst.
"the suffix "ing" may also derive from the Hebrew "im."

The use of "n" as a suffix (as in "do-ne") is also found in Hebrew.

I have been doing
"have" derived from the Hebrew "hov-veh" connoting "being."
In English "have" can also mean possession cf. Hebreww-Aramaic "hav" meaning "give," i.e. transfer possession

Past Simple

In Hebrew all words may be considered to be based on 2-letter roots or 3-letter roots.
Doubling the end letters of the root word i.e. do, = did, connotes a strenthening or completion of the act involved.

Past Continuous
I was doing
When "ve-et" in Hebrew is pronounced (as it can be) in Hebrew as "we-eth," or "we-es" we get "with" parallel to the Hebrew meaning "and with."
This also gives us "was."

Here we have "had" as the past tense of "have." Explained above.
