1. The Distinctive Imperatives of the Brit-Am Movement.
Brit-Am identifies the Lost Ten Tribes with peoples in the West.
Brit-Am/Hebrew Awareness
The Distinctive Imperatives of the Brit-Am Movement include:
(1) Belief in the Bible.
(2) Acknowledgement of the Jews as Judah.
(3) The Lost Ten Tribes Identified as specific nations and groups now present among Western Peoples.

2. Pro-Jewish, Anti-Jewish, and Brit-Am Hebrews.
The are "Ephraimite" enthusiasts and former members of, or one time sympathizers with, Brit-Am.
Some of them became anti-Jewish or claim to be pro-Jewish but have an anti-Jewish message.
Others went in the opposite direction. One or two want to convert as many Gentiles as possible to Judaism. They had this attitude BEFORE becoming acquainted with Brit-Am. We disagree with them.
This is not the Brit-Am Message and is against traditional Jewish opinion.
Brit-Am does not try to convert Gentiles to Judaism. We do not consider that a solution though for some individual cases it may be. At all events Brit-Am is not interested in becoming involved in the issue.
Every Israelite belongs to a certain Tribe. Most of us will never be certain what particular Tribe we belong to but we are still Hebrews and each one has their own individual pathway.
Descendants of the Ten Tribes do however NEED TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE, to accept Judah as Jewish and not to try and make them Christians nor be opposed to them in any way.
In Jewish History the conversion of non-Jews or attempts in that direction did not always turn out well.

3. History. Luther and the Result of Gentiles Converting to Judaism.
Martin Luther, 1483 -1586, was a German monk who rebelled against the Catholic Church and help start the Protestant Reformation. Luther translated the Bible into German and wrote religious tracts gathering much public support amongst both the common people and the nobility. The activity of Luther inspired others to come up with new ideas and new interpretations of Christian Theology. This alarmed Luther who fought bitterly against such tendencies. There were also apparently Jews who tried to get in on the act and preach Judaism to inquisitive Christians. Before then Luther had written in favor of tolerance for the Jews. When he saw that this led to some Germans converting to Judaism he reacted vigorously. He wrote a polemic against the Jews thus adding to the German bias against them which culminated with the Nazis.
Martin Luther

# Luther was confident that his writings would convert Jews to Christianity. This had not happened and in 1542 he was upset when news reached him that proselytising Jews had succeeded in converting some Christian men, who had denied Christ and submitted to circumcision. He also recorded that three rabbis had called on him, apparently with the same objective. (73)
# Luther wrote: "What shall we Christians do with this rejected and condemned people, the Jews? Since they live among us, we dare not tolerate their conduct, now that we are aware of their lying and reviling and blaspheming. If we do, we become sharers in their lies, cursing and blasphemy... First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them... Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed. For they pursue in them the same aims as in their synagogues. Instead they might be lodged under a roof or in a barn, like the gypsies. This will bring home to them that they are not masters in our country, as they boast, but that they are living in exile and in captivity, as they incessantly wail and lament about us before God. Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them... Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb." (76)

4. The Brit-Am Considerations.
Yair Davidiy began his serious studies concerning the Lost Ten Tribes in the 1980s though he had an interest in the subject since childhood.
Biblical Sources, Rabbinical Commentaries, along with historical and related evidence supplied the needed proof.
Yair is a practising Religious Orthodox Jew and this involved other considerations, such as:
==========
a. The Lubavitcher Rabbi and Beni Noach.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson (1902-1994); known to many as the "Lubavitcher Rebbe," was the leader of the Chabad movement. Hea great innovator. He initiated many projects and opened up new vistas of realization. Among other things he emphasized the Bnei Noach Laws and opening up to non-Jews as Gentiles who still have Torah Obligations. Brit-Am has no stand on this matter. The rationale given by the Rabbi however for his position reflects on Brit-Am. The Rabbi (sometimes pronounced as "Rebbe") said that up until now the Gentiles were not ready to receive this message but now they are and therefore it should be given to them.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noahidism
Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, encouraged his followers on many occasions to preach the Seven Laws of Noah,[1][3] devoting some of his addresses to the subtleties of this code.[22] Since the 1990s,[1][2] Orthodox rabbis from Israel, most notably those affiliated to Chabad-Lubavitch and religious Zionist organizations,[1][2][11] including The Temple Institute,[1][2][11] have set up a modern Noahide movement.[1][2][1 ....
The Chabad-Lubavitch movement has been one of the most active in Noahide outreach, believing that there is spiritual and societal value for non-Jews in at least simply acknowledging the Noahide laws.[1][2][3][4] In 1982, Chabad-Lubavitch had a reference to the Noahide laws enshrined in a U.S. Presidential proclamation: the "Proclamation 4921",[25] signed by the then-U.S. President Ronald Reagan.[25] The United States Congress, recalling House Joint Resolution 447 and in celebration of Menachem Mendel Schneerson's 80th birthday, proclaimed 4 April 1982, as a "National Day of Reflection.".[25]
In 1989 and 1990, they had another reference to the Noahide laws enshrined in a U.S. Presidential proclamation: the "Proclamation 5956",[26] signed by then-President George H. W. Bush.[26] The United States Congress, recalling House Joint Resolution 173 and in celebration of Menachem Mendel Schneerson's 87th birthday, proclaimed 16 April 1989, and 6 April 1990, as "Education Day, U.S.A.".[26]
Our attitude at the time was that if it is now OK to preach to the Gentiles regardless of their ancestry then even more so should it be to do the same to descendants of the Ten Tribes.
We are not however telling them what to do but rather informing them who they are!
==========
b. Rabbi Eliyahu Avichail and Amishav.
Rabbi Eliyahu Avichail founded Amishav in 1975. This has since been more or less replaced by "Shvi Yisrael" found Michael Freund in 2002. They on behalf of individuals and groups who self-identify as Jews or would-be Jews, including self-described descendants of the Lost tribes of Israel, crypto-Jews, hidden Jews, and Jews forcibly assimilated under Communist rule, and converts to Judaism. Rabbi Eliyahu Avichail was active on bahlf of Jews in Ethiopia. After that placed on emphasis on people claiming tob e decednants of the Ten Tribies and being found in eastern regions especially in Asia. Hs oganization received much support.
Rabbi Eliyahu rquitred that candidates for "Return" practise Orthodox Judaism. From his point of view (AS HE VIRUTALLY ADMITTED) it did not really matter whether the people concerned were descendants of Israel or not since they would be converted to Judaism anyway.
We met with Rabbi Eliyahu on at least three occasions. We have nothing against his aims BUT if the Ten Tribes are already being spoken of then the REAL DESCENDANTS ALSO NEED TO BE CONSIDERED!

5. In order to Return the Ten Tribes need to know who they are.
The Lost Ten Tribes will Return.
At first the Ten Tribes will be rejected and
exiled but later God will return and accept them.
Hosea 1:
10 YET THE NUMBER OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SHALL BE AS THE SAND
OF THE SEA, WHICH CANNOT BE MEASURED NOR NUMBERED; AND IT SHALL COME TO
PASS, THAT IN THE PLACE WHERE IT WAS SAID UNTO THEM, YE ARE NOT MY PEOPLE,
THERE IT SHALL BE SAID UNTO THEM, YE ARE THE SONS OF THE LIVING GOD.
Hosea 3 tells us: In the Last Days Ephraim (i.e. the Ten Tribes) shall Return to God and seek the Kingdom of David (3:5). In their
place of exile Ephraim will have given birth to strange children (5:7). Some say this indicates intermarriage with other peoples.
The Exiles will return from the west (11:10).
Judah will be instrumental in their Return.
Ezekiel says that Judah has an obligation to help the Lost Ten Tribes
return. The complete return of Judah is dependent upon the return of
"Samaria" (Ezekiel 16:53, 55, 61).

In order to Return the Ten Tribes need to know who they are.
This is Brit-Am is trying to do. Help make it known!
It is true that all the tribes today are probably intermixed with each other but our researches show that something of the old formations still remain or may be traced.
