Bert Otten and Yair Davidiy on Reuben and France (1 June, 2015, 14 Sivan, 5775)
A portion of the Ten Tribes settled in France. The Tribe of Reuben was predominant amongst the Israelites in France and the influence of Reuben is apparent in French characteristics.
A new article by Bert Otten has been posted to our sister web-site:
Ten Prophetic Clues Concerning Reuben - (Celtic) France
By Bert Otten

This is an interesting and valuable article.
We found it especially interesting to note that
The Tribe of Reuben east of the Jordan was already proficient at the production of wine. Bert Otten brings Biblical and other evidence.
Here in summarized form are the headings for the Ten Points identifying France with Reuben according to Bert Otten. We recommend reading the original article.
1st Clue: Reuben: See, a son!
The very name of Rueben reflects the Macho and Chauvinistic aspects of the French.
2nd Clue: Reuben: l'amour, sex & love triangle: The French have a reputation for being romantic.
3rd Clue: Reuben & rebellion
Vive la revolution! The French are non-conformist and rebellious. This was a characteristic of Reuben in the Bible, cf. Datan and Abiram and their rebellion against Moses.
4th Clue: Reuben, much cattle
Cheese Country
Reuben had a great number of cattle. That was why they preferred to settle east of the Jordan where there was cattle country.
The French still have an attachment to bovines.
5th Clue: Reuben: unstable like water
This was a characteristic of Reuben and still is of the French.
6th Clue: Reuben, wine!
France is Wine Country and so apparently was the territory of Reuben east of the Jordan!
...Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the VINE of SIBMAH: I will water thee with my tears, O HESHBON, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy HARVEST is fallen (Isaiah 16:8-9).
O VINE of SIBMAH, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: THY PLANTS are gone over the sea, THEY REACH EVEN to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon THY SUMMER FRUITS and upon THY VINTAGE (Jer 48:32).

7th Clue: Reuben: dignite, honneur, grandeur
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the EXCELLENCY of DIGNITY, and the EXCELLENCY of power (Genesis 49:3).
8th Clue: Reuben, jealous of Ephraim
9th Clue: Reuben, excellent, superieur
10th Clue: Reuben, Gad & Manasseh

Hebrew Nations/Brit-Am Proofs
Let us compare the above to the Brit-Am proofs that also equate the French with Reuben (details are to be found in our work "The Tribes"):
Evidence that in GENERAL shows that descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes were amongst the settlers of France.
Similarity of names of Reuben and his sons to peoples who settled in France and were important there such as the Ribuari Franks and the Galatians, etc. See: Clans of Reuben
Location compared to other tribes.
Romantic proclivities and other characteristics.
Excellence and Quality: The French often strive for the best and quite frequently achieve it. This was the blessing of Jacob to Reuben.
Traditional Symbols: The cock and the rising sun and the fleur de lis (reminiscent of mandrakes, etc) all relate to Reuben.
Bible Codes: The clans of Reuben are VERY STRONGLY LINKED to the word Tserafat which in Hebrew means France. The association is about as strong as it possibly could be!

All the White on Purple lettering deals with Reuben and the Clans of Reuben. The name Tserefath intersects these names at Equidistant intervals of 17.
The name Zerephath (green on brown in vertical alignment) meaning France is clearly dominated by Reuben.

This article has 8 sub-sections and is quite long with much that may be superfluous. Nevertheless the relevant information is mostly there for those who are interested.
Taking everything together I would say that the evidence is quite strong and impressive.
