2. New Month of Sivan, Tribe of Zebulon, Feast of Shevuot, Ruth
June 4, 2019 is the New Month of Sivan.
Sivan is attributed to the Tribe of Zebulon by the most accepted opinions (HaGara and Ha-Arizal).
Others ascribe the month of Sivan to Ephraim (Midrash Peliah) or Levi (Rabad).
The month of Sivan includes the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost, Sivan 6) which is also noted as being the Feast of Firstfruits. The Book of Ruth is read in the Synagogue on this day..
Shavuot was the day on which the Children of Israel received the Torah when they were in the wilderness.
This year Shavuot takes place from sunset June 8, 2017 to sunset June 9.

3. Personal Notes. History, Rivals, and the Doctor.
Yair Davidiy published "The Tribes" in 1993. He had been researching the subject for about a decade or more before then.
In about 1995 the foundation of the organization "Brit-Am" was announced over the Internet though it had existed for more than a year before then.
We started out with a newsletter which was later entitle "Brit-Am Now."
The first Brit-Am Web-Site was set up in ca. 2002.
We had already began putting out what was intended to be a regular printed newsletter.
This along with formal membership was something we attempted to set up a few times.
We may try again. Meanwhile the present Internet Presence has been spreading the word.
We feel that an emphasis on research and getting the information out is what is needed at present.
When we began Steven Collins and Craig White were active. Steven Collins is still in the game. He is an ally and supporter of Brit-Am. There were others who seem to have gone into abeyance and haven not been replaced.
There were also friends and would-be members who left and set up their own operations.
What happened to them?
Where are all the Ephraimites?
What happened to our critics and opponents?
We did not like opposition but occasionally it added a bit of liveliness to the scene.
It also seem to have attracted audiences.
If it was not for Brit-Am many of them may have gone off the track even more than they already had.
At present Yair is not feeling the best.
[The doctor says I should try and lose 20 kilo!]
Perhaps in a few days things will be better?
Funds are tight at present and we have obligations to meet.
