1. Red Hair Among Jews by Yair Davidiy.
Adaped from:
https://www.quora.com/Why-is-red-hair-so-commonly-associated-with-European-Jews/answer/Yair-Davidiy
In our time, books (especially those for Children) for Hariedim (Jewish Ultra-Orthodox Religious) families often show David with red hair.
Red hair is found among most Jewish communities. Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Iran, Kurdistan, Georgia, and other places all had Jews with red hair albeit as minorities.
During the Spanish Inquisition suspects with red hair were considered doubly suspicious of being Jewish. John Beddoe (author of "Races of Britain," 1885) once suggested that the increase in concentration of rufosity (red-hair) among Sephardic Jews is because they mixed with the Visigoths in Spain. Some Goths (including Visigoths) had converted to Judaism. In Italy, red hair was associated with Italian Jews.
The Christian Messiah was allegedly betrayed by one of his disciples named "Judas." This name is an alternative form of "Judah" meaning "Jew." Judas was considered an archetypical Jew. The betrayal of their deity by Judas was a favorite theme in Medieval art. Judas was frequently depicted with red hair and still is. [What do they hate the Jews more for? For killing their savior? Or for bringing him into existence?]
Among non-Jews the frequency of red hair is highest in Ireland (10 to 30%) and Scotland (10 to 25%), followed by Wales (10 to 15%), Cornwall and western England, Brittany, the Franco-Belgian border, then western Switzerland, Jutland and southwest Norway.
Getting back to the Jews,
In 2000, the researcher Dr. James Tabor, discovered a tomb in Talpiot, Jerusalem, dating from ca. 100 CE. Within the edifice were the skeletal remains of a Jewish male, along with a sample of his hair which was 'reddish.'
Maurice Fishberg reported in 1903 that 10,8 % of the male Jews in Galicia, southeastern Europe, had red beards.
Today, in Israel if you go out into the street in secular non-religious areas redheads are to be found but not in great profusion. They might scrape by at 1.5% or less.
On the other hand in Hareidi areas of Jerusalem, and Hareidi satellite cities associated with Jerusalem (e.g. Beitar Ilit) about 20% (or more) of the males have red hair and if strawberry blond is also included the proportion is very much higher.
Among Religious Jews overseas it is much less.
Looking at a few of the group (more than a thousand at a time) photos of Chabad Emissary Annual Meetings
we found that the percentage of red hair was about 10%, or less. In North America red hair might show up less. Also a certain number of those with dark brown hair have the red hair gene and may have red-haired children.
Nevertheless, in Israel it would be higher. Mair Horenstein, from Kiryat Arba, once commented that in his opinion recessive genes in the Land of Israel become more dominant. This may help explain differences between different Jewish communities of Israel compared to those outside of Israel.
The Hareidi Jews of Jerusalem and its satellites were red hairs are quite noticeable may be exceptional.
At all events,
Preliminary findings indicate that Hariedi Jews (especially in Jerusalem and its satellites) have more redhairs than secular ones.
Many Hareidi families are descended from the Tribe of Levi or according to different traditions are descendants of King David from Judah. This applies to both Litvak (non-Hasidic) and Hasidic families.
King David had red-hair.
1-Samuel 16:12 So he [Samuel the Prophet] sent and brought him [David] in. Now he was red-haired [Hebrew "admoni"] , with beautiful eyes, and of goodly appearance. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him; for this is the one! 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
1-Samuel 17:42 And when the Philistine [i.e. Goliath] looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, red-haired [Hebrew "admoni"] and of goodly appearance.
David had many children and so did his descendants.
cf.
2-Chronicles (NKJV) 11:
22 And Rehoboam appointed Abijah the son of Maachah as chief, to be leader among his brothers; for he intended to make him king. 23 He dealt wisely, and dispersed some of his sons throughout all the territories of Judah and Benjamin, to every fortified city; and he gave them provisions in abundance. He also sought many wives for them.
2-Chronicles (NKJV) 13:21
But Abijah grew mighty, married fourteen wives, and begot twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.
It would not have taken long for a clan in its own right of this family to have emerged.
2-Samuel 8:18....David's sons were chief ministers.
David wrote the Book of Psalms and was a musician. He and his descendants were occupied with preparing, building, and maintaining the Temple. David had been both a warrior and an introspective mystic. The Levites served in the Temple. A good portion of them were musicians, playing musical instruments, and singing the Psalms of David.
The interests and preoccupations of the Levites and the Clan of David overlapped. Perhaps they intermixed?
It was prophesied that in the future BOTH the descendants of David and the Levites would be multiplied exceedingly.
Jeremiah (NASB) 33:19 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 20 Thus says the LORD, If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time, 21 then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.
David had redhair. So do many of the Hareidim.
Addenda
Based on empirical evidence in our time we found indications that redhaired Jews are endemic to Jewish groups everywhere and that the phenomenon existed from Biblical Times. We also found that it exists among certain groups of Hareidi Jews more than others, especially more than the secular community. David was redhaired. Traditions of descent from David were common among Ashkenazic Jews as well as being found in some Sephardic families. We suggested that descendants of David naturally tended to converge in certain Hareidi Jewish communities.
Jewish correspondents opinionated that the redhair originated from external sources.
One said that redhair in his family traditionally was linked to contact with the Cossacks.
Another attributed it to Jews in Hungary intermarrying with the Cuman Turks many of whom were reportedly blondish.
The Jews however are more redheaded than the Cossacks are. The Cossacks seem to have been mainly dark brunettes with some blonds.
Rufosity (being red-haired) among Jews has interested Jewish and non-Jewish researchers for 200 years or more. As far as I know no-one found any exceptional incidence of the phenomenon among Jews from Hungary. There was however an exceptionally high incidence in the region of Galicia (southeastern Poland and western Ukraine) which neighbors Hungary..
The Khazars are also a possibility. Some of them were redheaded. They believed themselves to be descended from the Ten Tribes. Arab reports (quoted by Avraham Polak, "Kuzaria," Tel Aviv, 1950) indicate their Royal House was descended from Jesse, i.e. David.]

Extract:
The Red Jews were a mythical people that was fabled to reside in isolation, at the fringes of the known world, and envisioned as a tribe of ruddy-faced, red-headed Jewish warriors, replete with red beards and bedecked in red attire. They are generally identified with the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel who, according to a familiar Jewish legend, had been living in an unknown place since becoming exiled in the eighth century BCE when the Assyrians destroyed their ancient kingdom.

2. "Differentiated Color of Jews in Eastern Europe" by Zeb Arke.
Zeb Arke commented on your answer to: "Why is red hair so commonly associated with European Jews?"
Yair, I would like to clarify that Maurice Fishberg mentioned that he found that red beards were more common among Jews from Galicia than those from other regions. That 10.8% was not specifically regarding Galitzianer Jews.
'I find that red beards are more frequently found among the Jews of Galicia than among those of other countries.'
Materials for the Physical Anthropology of the Eastern European Jews
I would also like to add if I did not share it with you already that there was a documented stereotype among Eastern European Jews that Jews from Ukraine were relativity light featured and at least in Volhynia (perhaps Galicia too) notably more rufous.
In his investigations historian Antony Polansky recorded this (obviously exaggerated) stereotype:
'In popular belief the typical Lithuanian [Litvak Jew] had black hair and black eyes, while the typical Jew from Volynia was red-haired, and the Jews in the rest of Ukraine were even fairer.'

3. Natives of Papua and New Guinea look and act like Africans except for DNA differences.
Melanesians, Papuans, Austronesians, "Negritos", Andaman Islanders and such are all Eastern Asian populations. They are considered (according to DNA) more closely related to Irish, Germans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Amerindians and all other people descended from the out of Africa migration than they are the modern sub-Saharan populations.
Is Something wrong here?
Craig White,
"In Search of ...The Origin of Nations," 2003.
p. 108 # ... Taylor, states that the Papuans are comparable with certain of the central and east Africans: both have woolly-hair; their skin-colour is chocolate to sooty; facial index is 67 for the former, 70 for the latter; cranial capacity is 1412 for the former, 1,424 for the latter, and cephalic index is 70.4 and &1.2 respectively. # (G. Taylor, "Environment, Race, and Migration," Toronto, 1937. However, their blood groups are quite different.

K2b1[edit]
K2b1 is found in 83% of males of Papua New Guinea, and up to 60% in the Aeta people of the Philippines.[1] It is also found among other Melanesian populations, as well as indigenous Australians, and at lower levels amongst Polynesians.[1] It is also found in the Melanesian populations of Indonesia.
Major studies of indigenous Australian Y-DNA, published in 2014 and 2015, suggest that about 29% of indigenous Australian males belong to subclades of K2b1. That is, up to 27% indigenous Australian males carry haplogroup S1a1a1 (S-P308; previously known as K2b1a1 or K-P308),[1] and one study found that approximately 2.0% i.e. 0.9% (11 individuals) of the sample in a study in which 45% of the total was deemed to be non-indigenous, belonged to haplogroup M1 (M-M4; also known as M-M186 and known previously as haplogroup K2b1d1). All of these males carrying M1 were Torres Strait Islanders.[6] (The other Y-DNA haplogroups found were: basal K2* [K-M526], C1b2b [M347; previously Haplogroup C4], and basal C* [M130].)

4. 45% of the human genome is transposable elements (can be attributed to external SOURCES ACQUIRED NOT BY WAY OF HEREDITY!)
Cellular
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK557780/
Researchers have found transposons in the genomes of eukaryotes and prokaryotes. Genomes of eukaryotes contain multitudes of repetitive DNA sequences. Transposons make up much of this repetitive DNA. 45% of the human genome is transposable elements.[4] Because so much of the genome is transposable, the theory is that they are participants in speciation and evolution, although the triggers are not understood.[5] Transposons have a similar structure to non-transposable DNA and contain the same nucleic acids and nucleotides (cytosine, adenine, guanine, and thymine).

5. More on Transposon DNA,
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2874221/
Transposable elements (TEs) are defined as DNA sequences that are able to move from one location to another in the genome. TEs have been identified in all organisms, prokaryotic and eukaryotic, and can occupy a high proportion of a species genome. For example, transposable elements comprise approximately 10% of several fish species, 12 % of the C. elegans genome [1, 2], 37% of the mouse genome [3], 45% of the human genome [4], and up to >80% of the genome of some plants like maize [5]. From bacteria to humans, transposable elements have accumulated over time and continue to shape genomes through their mobilization.
