1. James R:Â Appreciates Web-Site
Hello Mr. Davidiy,
I would like to tell you how much I appreciate your site. It has provided a level of understanding about the identity of God's people like no other site I have ever come across.
Thank you and keep up the good work.

Extract:
The Zohar above may be understood to say that the seven continents were formed when the earth released its waters.
Supposing that when the earth was created it consisted of one land mass, one continental shell covering a great mass of water, like a gigantic bublle filled with liquid.
When the water was released it caused the flood. It was not so much just rain causing the water level to rise but also water that was already present near the surface bursting through cracks and covering the mountains before subsiding. Over most of the earth today we find a little top soil and then  a thin layer of rock. Under the rock are softer, often poreous, substances like sand or chalk. Tectonic forces, over time, may have pushed the softer material into a vacuum left when the water was forced out.
Before then, the implosion of the land-shell following the release of water may have caused it to break up into different sections.
All this could have taken several generations. The immediate cause for Pangea may have occurred in the era of Noah but its effects on the earth breaking in pieces may have only been realized in the time of Peleg? Sounds fanciful? More than Darwin? I do not think so!

3. Anecdote from Northern Ireland and the Finding of a Mezuzah
William Garland wrote:
Dear Yair
I was thinking about the following and thought you might find it interesting.
I found a tiny scroll of Hebrew writing more that 50 years ago in my Dad's shop in Belfast.
Unfortunately it has been lost.
Best regards
Roy Garland
I believe it was in the 1950s, during idle moment when I was a teenager working in Dad's shop at 157 Old Lodge Road, Belfast. I was using a large blunt knife, probably a machete, to break up wooden crates. In an idle moment I noticed a small object on an inside doorpost that was hardly noticeable as it had been well painted over. For no particular reason I hit it and the object fell to the ground. When I picked it up I discovered Hebrew writing on a small scroll enclosed inside a tiny metal case that looked like it was made of lead. It was about a quarter of an inch thick, three or more inches long and half an inch wide. I told my Dad what I had done not knowing what this meant.  He seemed distressed and told me that my action could bring him 'bad luck'. This was strange because he did not believe in luck. I was unable to decipher the words on the tiny scroll so I put it away for safekeeping but sadly it had been lost completely.  Later I discovered that a certain Jacob Lazarus was living on the premises in 1918.[1] This appears to be a Jewish name and I believe my Dad knew that Jews had lived there. I deeply regretted what I had done. I wish even now that I could find the scroll. There were times when people arrived at the shop saying they had been born there. What a pity I was unable to present them with such a prize.

Very interesting.
What you found was obviously a mezuzah or scroll usually placed in some kind of casing (metal or otherwise) and attached to the upper door post.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. ... Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-6,9) - See more at: http://www.religionfacts.com/judaism/things/mezuzah.htm#sthash.PKAbpOhP.dpuf
I would not worry about your treatment of the mezuzah bringing bad luck since you were not aware of what it was and obviously regret what happened. The fact that your father regarded the matter so seriously is significant. He may have been himself of Jewish origin or otherwise just a spiritually God-conscious person. Quite a few non-Jews from Northern Ireland had a strong Jewish consciousness. Officially there were never that many Jews in Belfast but there were some.
