2. Question about the Levites as Officials
Dear Yair, In inquiry to M. Bowie. Not to mix religion and politics, but then again as I understand it, ancient Israel did just that. Should not all our political, public and civil servants in all occupations and levels who serve the people great and small in cities, towns, and counties be Levite and or Cohen and not just the religious servants?
Thanks. Tom.

3. When did Samaria (capital of the Ten Tribes) really Fall?
Steve Mathe wrote:
Yair,
How good is the date of 722 BCE as the final fall of Samaria? I know that there was a 3 year siege.
Thanks.

Brit-Am Reply:
722 BCE is the date usually given.
In our writings we use conventional dating.
Other opinions however exist:

Rabbinical Historiography
An Article in our series on Chronological Revision

Rabbinical reckoning puts the date of the fall of SAMARIA as 3205 A.M. (i.e. Anno Mundi, from the creation of the World).
This would be ca. 556 BCE.

4. Daniel Duffield: The Bus Troll

This is a short work of fiction, well written, with a moral message pertinent to our time.
The author is a veteran supporter of Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations.

A Refutation (part five) of the article:
The Not Lost Tribes of Israel. Who and Where Are the Northern Ten Tribes of Israel Today?
by Ernest L. Martin, Ph.D.
http://www.soundchristian.com/tribes/
Extract:
Amos 9:9 could well mean what Martin says it does since, as we have shown above, it appears to refer to the Jews of Judah. Even if it did apply to the Lost Ten Tribes, who says it means they will not take root in the places they reside in?? Being shifted in a sieve in this passage implies being preserved and kept. This will be done through Divine Providence and is not necessarily dependent on keeping laws and customs.
And if the Ten Tribes will be found in coalescent groups, as indicated, then they will be preserved that way.
Isaiah 11:
12 He will raise a standard for the nations,
and will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
and gather the dispersed of Judah
from the four corners of the earth.
The outcasts of Israel are the Ten Tribes who were exiled in groups, and will stay together in groups.
The dispersed of Judah are the Jews who were scattered all over the earth.
This explanation is confirmed by the context of the verse (where Judah and Ephraim are juxtaposed) and by Commentators such as the Malbim.
