1. Query from South Africa Concerning Hebrew Ancestry
Lenie wrote:
I actually feel kind of stupid asking this question on the platform here but I am going to because I want to gain knowledge! During May 1996 I asked [the Almighty] for wisdom and understanding. Since then He showed me the weekly Sabbath etc... A totally different path He took me on than the one I 'anticipated'. How and where do I start to investigate my Hebraic heritagte, I am convinced that [the Almighty] is directing me down the lost 10 tribes' avenue.
Thank you, Shalom!
Lenie ... (ancestors came from Germany. We are in South Africa.)

At present everyone has to find their own pathway.
Read our books and articles, look at our clips, etc.
If pertinent do some independent research into your own ancestry.
Learn the Bible, learn the local history of whatever Israelite nation you dell within.
Look for Israelite or Jewish features where these exist.
Pray to God for guidance.
In the past we tried to set up local chapters for those who are interested in these matters to fellowship with each other.
After some initial success it all died away quite quickly.
In the future new attempts may be made.
In your letter to us you used a version of the Holy Name.
We are reserved about this practice.
We have a series of articles on the subject.
See:
The Holy Name of God

The whole process concerning Hebrew Ancestry requires a willingness to modify and if necessary alter one's opinion and change things accordingly.
South Africa is a Hebrew nation is so far as those who once ruled it were to some degree of Israelite Descent, fulfilled Biblical Prophecies and Ephraimite Criteria and had Hebrew characteristics.
Germany is basically a blatantly NON-ISRAELITE nation but many Israelites were once there. The Israelites mostly moved out of Germany at a relatively late date and went to North America, South Africa, etc.
God be with you

2. Query from Someone of Italian Ancestry
E. wrote:
Dear friend,
I am very excited on this issue.
I have been searching and reading your webpage after found it on
Google accidentally.
I understand your explanation on the countries created by the
Ephraimite tribes. Nevertheless, Italy has not any a single mention.
What is happened then? If you have articles on this subject, would
you mind please to point me out?
I am Italian Brazilian; however my blood is supposed to be full
Italian, which ancestors are from many cities from North to South
Italy as Genoa, Rovigo, Venice, Rome, Florence as well as Calabria.
So at national level I cannot say a single word.
At Individual level I fill almost all the criteria. Since my
conversion 32 years ago to Christianity (my previous religious
background was not as an Elohim worshiper). Supernaturally I became an
Israel lover, no matter others opinions against her, trying to
influence me, at a point that in my job I was nicknamed as "filthy
Jew".
Recently something very unusual happened and I started feeling hungry
and thirsty in everything related to Israel much more than the usual feeling.
Many thanks
E.

Shalom,
If you go to the search engines on our web-sites
See:
http://www.britam.org/SearchEngines.html
and the Search Feature on every page of
http://hebrewnations.com/
and enter Italy you will find quite a bit of information.
Also in our book The Tribes we have dealt at some length with Italy.
Anyway, many Israelite groups as well as numerous descendant of Jews settled in Italy.
There are some Hebraic characteristics in Italian heritage and culture BUT on the whole it is dominated by non-Israelite influences.
Italy cannot be considered an Israelite country but rather one in which a sizeable minority of Israelites may once have been found.
Members of all the Israelite Tribes must have passed though Italy but on the whole those of Judah, Levi, Simeon, and Benjamin appear to have been dominant.
Through Bible Study and prayer answers will be found in most cases.
God bless you
Yair
