Peace Yair.
Do you really think the worlds population has decreased the last decades?
Do you have proofs?
I don't reject this hypothesis since I tend not to believe official statistics on many things, but concerning the population, it seems to me it is very much increasing, at least in the Third World.
We see more and more giant cities everywhere...
On the other hand it's true that some people say you can go for hours in Africa without seeing a single soul even in reputedly populated places.
Some others say the population of many Arab countries is inflated.
I've been to China and I've seen plenty of houses while driving in some region and, driving back on the same road at night, there was not ONE light coming out of any of these thousands of houses. For hours.
There are also all these empty cities...
Weird...

Shalom,
Concerning world population I do not have any other sources than the article I quoted from.
For alI I know it may have been a mistake.

Immigrant mothers: More than a quarter of births in Britain last year were to mothers born outside the UK
A record number of nearly 200,000 babies were born to immigrant mothers last year, figures revealed yesterday.
The children of women who were themselves born abroad made up nearly a quarter of all the babies born in Britain.
In London, where a high proportion of migrants choose to live, the share of births to foreign-born mothers was well over half, 57 per cent.
The five countries from which the greatest numbers of foreign-born mothers came were Poland, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria.
The share of new babies born to migrant mothers has more than doubled in 20 years and continues to shoot up.
The report said there had been a 24 per cent rise in the number of women of childbearing age who were born outside the UK and a fall of 5 per cent in the number of UK women of childbearing age since 2007.

Lust in Translation: Which Country Has the Highest Rates of Infidelity?
http://www.alternet.org/story/81022/lust_in_translation%3A_which_country_has_the_highest_rates_of_infidelity
Infidelity is universal. But which country boasts the most cheaters?
April 2, 2008 |Â Â
Â
The following is an excerpt from "Lust in Translation: Infidelity from Tokyo to Tennessee" (Penguin Books, 2007) by Pamela Druckerman.
Excerpts:
The morning after Francois Mitterrand's funeral, a photo showed the late president's mistress and illegitimate daughter standing by his grave alongside his wife and sons. That tableau has become famous internationally as proof that the French are uniquely tolerant of extramarital affairs.
In fact, although French presidents seem to have an infidelity record approaching 100 per cent, ordinary Frenchmen claim to be quite faithful. In a 2004 national survey, just 3.8 per cent of married men and 2 per cent of women said they had had more than one sex partner in the past year (the best approximation of infidelity) -- fewer than in similar surveys in the U.S. and the U.K.
If France isn't the world capital of adultery, which country is? I set off around the world to find out.
I quickly discovered that global sex research is patchy and incomplete. Even serious researchers can't even agree on what to call infidelity. Nigerians prefer the term "sexual networking." The Finns use the morally neutral term "parallel relationships." A French team uses an expression perhaps better suited for an accounting course: "simultaneous multi-partnerships."
In Moscow, women in their forties told me that, by necessity, they only date married men. That's because, since the life expectancy for Russian men has fallen so sharply (to 59) that by age 65 there are just 46 men left for every 100 women.
And it was clear that Russian men flaunted this demographic advantage. With the exception of a pastor (who was sitting with his wife at the time), I didn't meet a single married man in Russia who admitted to being monogamous.
A family psychologist whom I had intended to interview as an "expert" boasted about her own extramarital relationships and insisted that given Russia's endemic alcoholism, violent crime, and tiny apartments, affairs are "obligatory."

4. Is Iran a Dying Nation?
The Dead's Envy for the Living
by David P. Goldman

Extracts:
Many commentators, most eloquently Bret Stephens at the Wall Street Journal, draw a parallel between the appeasement of Hitler at Munich in 1938 and the appeasement of Iran at Geneva. There is another, more chilling parallel: Iran's motive for proposing to annihilate the Jewish State is the same as Hitler's, and the world's indifference to the prospect of another Holocaust is no different today than it was in 1938. It is the dead's envy for the living.
Dying civilizations are the most dangerous, and Iran is dying. Its total fertility rate probably stands at just 1.6 children per female, the same level as Western Europe, a catastrophic decline from 7 children per female in the early 1980s. Iran's present youth bulge will turn into an elderly dependent problem worse than Europe's in the next generation and the country will collapse. That is why war is likely, if not entirely inevitable.
... the UN's "low variant" puts the country's total fertility rate at 1.9 children as of 2015, but it already has fallen to just 1.6. This means in simple arithmetic that a generation hence, there will be two elderly dependents for every three workers, compared to 7 elderly dependents for every 93 workers today. That is a death sentence for a poor country, and at this point it is virtually irreversible.
The difference, to be sure, is that Germany's decline was by no means inevitable in 1938, while Iran's decline cannot be reversed. Iran's leaders know this quite well. Its universities have competent demographers who helped frame the first studies of Iran's fertility decline, and its leaders have inveighed for years against the failure of Iranian women to bear children. Persian-language website warn of the tidal wave of elderly dependents who will swamp Iran's economy. For all the public anguish the situation gets worse by the year. Nicholas Eberstadt of the American Enterprise Institute is doing the definitive work on this.
Hitler only hallucinated the exhaustion of a mythical Aryan race: Iran's leaders live with the certainty that their civilization has barely a generation left before it collapses. Even a modest increase in fertility from present levels would do nothing to avert the coming train wreck, and the problem is getting worse by the year.
What is the "national interest" of a dying country? In the case of Hungary, for example, with a Magyar fertility rate of less than 0.9, it is to ease the transition into oblivion by selling the country to foreigners and turning its capital into a theme park for tourists. 1,100 years ago the Magyars were feared conquerors who threatened the fragile recovery of newly-Christianized Europe; today they are a relic. Iran is not so ready to go gentle into that demographic night, however. It lashes out against enemies real and imagined, and the enemies it imagines in its worst nightmares are the Jews.
Israel thus faces a new Hitler and the threat of a new Holocaust. There is no way to portray the situation in a less alarming light. That is one parallel to 1938; another is the response of the world's powers to the emergence of this monster.
To the declining nations of Western Europe, Israel's national self-assertion is a moral outrage. Since St. Isidore of Seville persuaded the Visigoth kings of Spain to adopt Christianity with the promise that they would become the leaders of a chosen nation in emulation of King David, the national consciousness of the European nations has taken the form of national election.

5. One to three men fathered most western Europeans?
http://dienekes.blogspot.co.il/
Extracts:
It may sound far-fetched but it's certainly possible. After all, no R1b has been found in Europe before a Bell Beaker site from the 3rd millennium BC and today many Europeans (most in western Europe) belong to this haplogroup. As more Y chromosomes are sampled from ancient Europe, it will become clear if the R1b frequency actually shot from non-existence to ubiquity over a short span of time, and the Y chromosomes after the transition will be practically clones of each other.

Modeling the contrasting Neolithic male lineage expansions in Europe and Africa
Michael J Sikora et al.
... In Europe, the expansion was much more rapid, taking only a few generations and occurring as soon as the major R1b lineage entered Europe; it started from just one to three men, whose numbers expanded more than a thousandfold.Â
