1. Etymology. LAZY, ADOLPH, ONE
========================
Etymology LAZY
OED (Online etymological Dictionary) says: 1540s, laysy, of persons, "averse to labor, action, or effort," a word of unknown origin. In 19c. thought to be from lay (v.) as tipsy from tip. Skeat is responsible for the prevailing modern view that it probably comes from Low German, from a source such as Middle Low German laisch "weak, feeble, tired,"
Possible origin: From the Hebrew root "LEAH" connoting "weak, tired." A lazy person would be someone who acts as if they were weak or tired.

Etymology. ADOLPH
The name is a compound derived from the Old High German Athalwolf, a composition of athal, or adal, meaning noble, and wolf. The name is cognate to the Anglo-Saxon name AEthelwulf (also Eadulf or Eadwulf.)
Possible Origin: The adal or athal word meaning Noble could derive from the Hebrew "Atsel" meaning NOBLE. A contributory factor could be the similarity of Athal to the Hebrew Eluf meaning leader but often translated as DUKE. We thus have a link to the Dukes of Esau/Edom (Genesis chapter 36).
The change of ELUPH to ATHAL would have occurred through metathesis, the transposition of sounds or letters in a word. Metathesis occurs often in linguistics. Isaac Mozeson traced many words in English back to Hebrew by using deductions based on metatheis. We used it much less, preferring more direct similarities.
========================
Etymology. ONE
The English word ONE is said to be derived (c. 1200), from Old English AN comparable to Old Norse einn, Danish een, Old Frisian an, Dutch een.
The now-standard pronunciation "wun" began c. 1300 CE and it began to be general ca. 1700.
Originally ONE was therefore pronounced as "AN." This is similar to the Greek ENA. The Rabbinical Commentators (Mecklenbug Numbers 23:24, Hatam Sofer on Talmud Shabat, 31; considered the Greek ENA identical to the Hebrew word HeN. The word Hen is from the same root as, and similar to, the Hebrew word HENI (pronounced "Heen-ay") and usually translated as "Behold!" Consequently the word "HEN"
is also rendered into English as "Behold." The Rabbinical commentators however suggest that "HEN" (as distinct from "Heni") connotes "one" in the sense of "this one."
Both the Greek "Ena" and the Hebrew "Hen" are similar to the Old English "an" and the Old Norse "einn." It is word noting that the Hebrew "Hen" could also be pronounced as "Heyn." We may therefore deduce that the he word "one") derives from the Hebrew word "HEN." This means that the word we now use as "ONE" comes from the same source.

Extracts:
The bronze coin, about the same size as a 50 cent piece, was minted during the reign of Ptolemy IV, between 221 and 204BC.
More than two millennia later it was found about seven centimetres underground in the depths of the far north Queensland rainforest.
The man who found it, Andrew Henderson, had abandoned the gold mining fields of Victoria for a warmer climate.
And of the coins minted during Ptolemy IV's rule, Dr Connor said there were three types - gold, silver and bronze; all of which were used to further the influence and fame of the Ptolemaic rulers.
"We think about the gold and the silver coins because they're nice, but they would have been worth a huge amount of money so for everyday business they would have used bronze."
It is for this reason, Dr Connor said, that bronze Ptolemaic coins often turn up in the most bizarre locations.
On the other hand,
"The Macalister Range and surrounding mountains were very quiet in terms of European occupation up until 1876," Mr Phoenix said.
"Then when gold was found thousands of people came here from all around the world, it was a really multicultural affair in Cairns and people may have carried coins like this as trinkets and souvenirs."
