Extracts:
# In the Holy Land, mused Adams, Noah could be 'at the head of a hundred thousand Israelites' '& marching with them into Judea & making a conquest of that country & restoring your nation to the dominion of it. For I really wish the Jews again in Judea an independent nation.'
'I believe [that] once restored to an independent government & no longer persecuted [the Jews] would soon wear away some of the asperities and peculiarities of their character & possibly in time become liberal Unitarian Christians for your Jehovah is our Jehovah & your God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is our God,' wrote Adams to Noah.
'Adams,' said Sarna, 'used the term 'restored' - a sign that he had in mind Christian restorationist rhetoric. Many, even before Adams, felt that America would play a special role in advancing God's scriptural promise to restore the Jews to their land.'
Jonathan Sarna, director of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University.
'For close to 150 years, in the US and England, there has been a phenomenon aptly referred to as 'Christian Zionism,'' said Jeffrey S. Gurock, a professor of American Jewish history at Yeshiva University.
'There have been Christians who have advocated for the Zionist cause, like Adams, who believed Jews should be returned to their land as a crucial step in hastening the Second Coming,, Gurock told The Times of Israel.
'And Zionists for their part, starting really with Noah, a proto-Zionist, have tried to effectively co-opt this 'philo-Semitic' tendency to promote Jewish causes,' said Gurock.

2. Another Early American Zionist, George Bush 1796-1859.
An ancestor to Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush was known as 'George Bush' 1796-1859. He was an American Bible scholar. In 1844 he published "The Valley of Vision; or, The Dry Bones of Israel Revived." In this work he denounced the 'thralldom and oppression which has so long ground them (the Jews) to the dust.' He called for elevating the Jews to a rank of honorable repute among the nations of the earth by restoring the Jews to the Land of Israel. He also wished to convert the Jews to Christianity. On that point he was mistaken but concerning the Return of Jews to the Holy Land he was not.

3. Ze'ev Jabotinsky on the English.
'England is becoming continental! Not long ago the prestige of the English ruler of the "colored" colonies stood very high. Hindus, Arabs, Malays were conscious of his superiority and obeyed, not unprotestingly, yet completely. The whole scheme of training of the future rulers was built on the principle "carry yourself so that the inferior will feel your unobtainable superiority in every motion".'
Ze'ev Jabotinsky (1880-1840), an important early Zionist leader, cited by Lenni Brenner, 'The Iron Wall," London, ch.7, 1984.

4. Nazi Compulsion to Kill Jews.
'Life and Death in the Third Reich,' by Peter Frizsche, USA, 2008.
p. 213, In the summer of 1941, it was the megalomania of Nazi imperialism which encouraged Hitler and Himmler to abandon the idea that the 'final solution' had to wait until the end of the war, and to implement it in the Soviet Union immediately. Soon thereafter, the realization that the world war would not be over 'next spring.'

and that German authorities would not be able to deport the Jews whom they had impoverished and ghettoized pushed planners to contemplate killing the Jews under their control. As the war entered its third year and expanded into a world conflict , the Nazis believed that the Nazis realized that the immediate destruction of European Jews was necessary if Germany was to emerge victorious. , And finally, in 1943 and 1944 the 'final solution' was regarded as the only way for Germany to hold on to its crumbling position of strength. The logic of the Nazis anti-Semitism led them to the ultra-revolutionary 'position from which there is no escape.' 132

# ... I learned the important truth that in a public matter, especially in the struggle for an idea, an initiated project develops essentially through failures. One way or another, every setback proves later to have been a step toward victory. Each defeat brings another host of followers, indeed, right from the ranks from the foes of yesterday. Somehow all at once, these enemies are struck by the revelation that though they fought against you, deep within their souls they hoped you would win - and your defeat leaves in their hearts an empti\ness and a sense of regret... #
