1. British Monarch Anointed as Israelite Monarchs Were?
Brit-Am Note:
The source below if looked at objectively does not really say much. It says that in the coronation service of the British Monarch an anointment with oil takes place. It is then recalled that in Ancient Israel the monarchs were also anointed. A prayer is made that the present anointment will also be accepted by the Almighty as it was done in Biblical Times. Nevertheless, there is some symbolic importance to all this.

Dear Craig
Following the announcement of the abdication of the King of Spain, I issued the following media release which is copied below for your information.

Kings May Abdicate, but Never Our Queen
The abdication of the 76-year-old King Juan Carlos, who was deputed to be king following the death of Spain's dictator General Francisco Franco who seized power in 1939 following the Spanish Civil War, has raised again media speculation regarding Queen Elizabeth who, this year, celebrates 62 years on the throne.
The difference between the Queen and King Juan Carlos, Queen Beatrix and Pope Benedict who all recently abdicated, is that during her Coronation the Queen swore before God to serve her people's and considers her oath to be binding for life. Also, we should not forget that on her 21st birthday the Queen announced on radio:
'I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.'
Furthermore, a major difference between the coronation of our sovereign and that of other monarchs is that the Queen was anointed with holy oil. In the words of the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Coronation service:
O Lord and heavenly Father,
the exalter of the humble and the strength of thy chosen,
who by anointing with Oil didst of old
make and consecrate kings, priests, and prophets,
to teach and govern thy people Israel:
Bless and sanctify thy chosen servant ELIZABETH,
who by our office and ministry
is now to be anointed with this Oil,
Our monarch is consecrated unto God, not appointed by the state as is the case with most other monarchs. This is why our monarchy is different. This is why our monarch can never abdicate.

4. Hebrew Dialects in the Hebrew Bible?
http://onthemainline.blogspot.co.il/2006/05/hebrew-dialects-in-hebrew-bible.html
Article suggests that the dialect of the northern Israelites was a bit different from that of Judah.
The same point has been made on numerous occasions by others.
Article does not really say much but may be worth looking at.

5. The Name Brit as in Britain (barad, brith)
We hold that the name Brit as in Britain means covenant as in the Hebrew.

Nevertheless, other opinions exist, re:
How 'Britain' got its name
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1092433/How-Britain-got-Great-Land-Tattooed-The-astonishing-map-reveals-origins-place-names.html#ixzz33mh7cw2O
Quote:
The etymological take on the world traces Great Britain to Great Land of the Tattooed. The combination of the Greek word 'prettanoi', meaning tattoed people, and the Celtic word, 'brit', meaning light coloured or speckled, is behind the modern name.
First of all the welsh word brit or brith meaning light coloured or speckled, etc, could derive from the Hebrew Barad which can have the same meaning and could be pronounced as Barath.
