1. Cimmerians and Early Scythians were Archaeologically Identical by Askold Ivantchik.
English Abstract of article in German
Das Problem der ethnischen Zugehorigkeit der Kimmerier und die
kimmerische archawologische Kultur!
[The problem of the ethnic affiliation of the Cimmerians and the Cimmerian archaeological culture!]
von Askold Ivantchik, Moskau
Praehistorische Zeitschrift, 72,1, 1997, 12-53.
On the basis of written sources, the region has been localized where the historical Cimmerians, but no Scythians, dwelled (west and central Anatolia). The nomad graves of this area (Norsuntepe, Imirler. environs of Amasya),which represent the archaeological evidence of the culture of the historical Cimmerians, belong to the so-calledearly Scythian culture, and in fact to the Kelermes stage. In this culture, Cimmerian objects possibly had somelocal peculiarities. The earliest (before the third quarter cf the 7th century BC) finds of arrowheads cf .Scytbian"type in the Near East (esp. in Bogazkoy) are associated with the historical Cimmerians and were soon adopted bythe native peoples, as were several other objects (particularly the chape in scrolled zoomorphic form from the
Sardes layer, middle of the 7th century BC). The Cimmerian finds of Asia Minor as well as the entire Kelermesstage of "early Scythian" culture date mostly in the first half of the 7th century BC, although an expansion of datelimits is possible in both directions. The archaeological finds substantiate the assumption that the Cimmerianswere closely related to the Iranian-speaking Scythians.

2. Irish Words and Hebrew
Olam in Irish means teacher. This apparently has a Semitic root as in the Arabic "mu-alam" teacher.
Oir is a word for the sun in Old Irish cf. Hebrew OR meaning light, or UR (the same letters as "OR" but with a slight change in intonation) meaning fire.
Irish IAR meaning "the west" and "behind or after" cf. Hebrew Kedem meaning both "east" and "before". In Hebrew YAIR means "will enlighten".

3. Phoenician Circumnavigation of Africa Re-Enacted

Extracts:
Over two and a half thousand years ago one of the greatest journeys in mankind's history began on the Egyptian shores of the Red Sea. Greek Historian Herodotus tells us how, in 600 BC, Phoenician mariners achieved the first circumnavigation of Africa, a voyage into unknown waters previously considered too dangerous to attempt.
In 2008-2010 a reconstruction of a Phoenician trading vessel, built at the ancient Phoenician port of Arwad, embarked upon a journey to re-trace the Phoenicians' route around Africa. Re-creating this historical voyage was the major objective of the Phoenician Ship Expedition and was completed by Captain Philip Beale and his crew in October 2010 after 2 years 2 months, and 20,000 miles at sea.
