1. IDF Chief Rabbi Attacks Islam, Says Almost All Of Temple Mount Has No Holiness To Islam

IDF Chief Rabbi Brigadier General Rafi Peretz wants Zionist Orthodox IDF soldiers to know that the almost all of the Temple Mount is not holy to Islam, that Islam's view of the Temple Mount is made up, and that 'ninety percent of the Arabs don't know a thing about the Koran. I tell you with full authority. We [Israelis] know better than many of them.'
by Shmarya Rosenberg
Peretz spoke at the at the Otzem Zionist Orthodox pre-military yeshiva November 3...
Peretz was supposed to be talking about the parsha, the section of the Torah read on a particular week, meaning he should have speaking about Lech Lecha (Genesis 12:1-17:27), the parsha that talks about Abraham coming to the Land of Israel, the war of the local kings, Abraham dividing the land with his nephew Lot, and his troubles with his son Yishmael (Ishmael) who became the father of the Arabic peoples and Ishmael's mother Hagar; or Vayeira (Genesis 18:1-22:24), the parsha following it that talks about Sodom and Gomorrah, the birth of Yitzhak (Isaac) and the expulsion of Hagar.
But because of the common theme of both parshas - Abraham's and Sarah's troubles with Ishmael and Hagar and the need to conquer the land, and because the Temple Mount was in the news as the most recent flashpoint for tension between Palestinians and Israeli Arabs on one hand and Israeli Jews on the other, Peretz spoke about the Temple Mount.
'Jerusalem isn't mentioned in the Koran even once. Not even in a hint. The Arabs are imagining it, the only mosque [on the Temple Mount with] any holiness [for Muslims] is attributed to is Al-Aqsa. The rest of the Temple Mount has no religious significance. What is the Al-Aqsa Mosque? It says in the Koran 'make me a mosque on the edge.' Al-Aqsa is on the edge. The edge of what? Mecca? The edge of the Arabian Peninsula. When they bow, they bow to Mecca but their backside is turned to the Temple Mount, because the edge for them is the edge of the Arabian Peninsula. So what are they doing on the Temple Mount? Ninety percent of the Arabs don't know a thing about the Koran. I tell you with full authority. We know better than many of them,' Peretz, whose remarks were published by the Zionist Orthodox Kipa news website yesterday, reportedly said.
A student asked Peretz a question about the dream Mohammed the Prophet had of going to the Temple Mount.
'There's a commentator who explained something in the Koran by this dream. It's not Rashi commentary. It's a legend that was added on,' Peretz insisted.
Peretz said he used to live in the Old City of Jerusalem.
'When the people of Ateret Cohanim [a Zionist Orthodox right-wing West Bank settler yeshiva and organization] entered the Muslim Quarter [in 1967 after the Six Day War, when Israel recaptured East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount from Jordan after 19 years of Jordanian rule] an Arab came out to them with a key and said 'For 19 years I've been waiting for you because I knew it was yours.' - He saw the Jews returning in the Six-Day War and gave us back what was ours. Why did they know to give us back the Land of Israel after 2,000 years? Because we opened the Bible and showed that it was ours,' Peretz said.

2. Shin Bet: Hamas terror attack plot at Jerusalem soccer stadium thwarted
Turkey-based terrorists also planned to send car bombs into Israel, strike light rail in capital, kidnap Israelis
http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Shin-Bet-Planned-Hamas-terror-attack-at-Jerusalem-soccer-stadium-thwarted-382959?utm_source=Newsletter+11-27-2014&utm_campaign=Newsletter&utm_medium=email
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the IDF thwarted a large, transnational Hamas terrorism network that was preparing to carry out an array of attacks against Israelis, the domestic intelligence agency announced on Thursday.
In recent weeks, some 30 Hamas members have been arrested in raids led by the IDF's Duvdevan undercover unit.
Two M-16 rifles, ammunition and bomb-making equipment were seized.
The network planned to target the Teddy soccer stadium and the light rail system in the capital, to carry out car bombings and kidnappings of Israelis in Judea and Samaria as well as overseas, the Shin Bet said.
The nerve center of the network was situated in Hamas's headquarters in Turkey, the Shin Bet added.
Additional intended targets included infiltrations of Israeli communities, shooting and bombing attacks against Israeli traffic and military targets in the West Bank, and setting up terrorist cells in Jordan to carry out cross-border attacks into Israel.
The plot, uncovered in September, involved the assembly of multiple terrorist cells in the West Bank, as well as the training of Hamas members overseas.
Members of the network planted two bombs in Samaria on August 31. Neither of the attacks, which involved time-detonated explosives, resulted in injuries.
The second explosive was timed to kill emergency responders, according to the Shin Bet's investigation.
Following that attack, the agency arrested dozens of suspects, and learned during subsequent interrogations that some had joined Hamas as far back as 2012, in Jordan.
'They received military training, and were given missions. At the start of 2014, they moved in and began taking action. Their missions included meetings with operatives, preparing [terrorist] infrastructure, and gathering intelligence on targets,' the Shin Bet said.
In Jordan, the network sought to recruit students who were friends of Hamas operatives.
The network identified students who supported the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, and had highly developed skills in various areas.
Eventually, recruiters turned to selected prospective operatives with formal requests to join Hamas. Those who accepted came under the command of Hamas's Turkey-based headquarters, which oversaw their military training.
They were trained under the supervision of Hamas's overseas and Gaza-based branches, in Jordan, Turkey, Syria and the Gaza Strip.
Recruits reached Gaza through smuggling tunnels from Egypt, and were instructed in weapons, terrain analysis, navigation and how to keep information secret.
In Turkey, they learned about various 'spheres of operations, aimed at carrying out terrorist attacks within Israel, the West Bank and overseas,' the Shin Bet said.
In Jordan, training included weapons handling, bomb-making and briefings ahead of attacks.
At the end of their training, recruits joined various terrorist plots, in line with guidance from senior Hamas members in Turkey.
Instructions arrived from Hamas commanders in Turkey to field operatives, via 'forward operatives in Turkey and Jordan, who were responsible for executing the plans.'
Subsequently, Hamas operatives arrived in the West Bank to carry out the attacks, as well as coordinate the smuggling of weapons and money.

3. World More and More Dependent on the US which Itself is in Trouble

Egypt Protects Israel's Flank*

In the meantime, the Islamic State (IS) succumbed to the ancient Greek psychological malady of "hubris". Having overrun most of northern and western Iraq and eastern Syria and proclaimed a new "Caliphate", IS took the entirely unnecessary and counter-productive step of beheading Americans and publicizing its barbaric acts. This brought a very reluctant US Administration into the battle against the IS. Coalition air strikes have achieved at least three objectives. They have enabled the hapless Iraqi army, with the help of Shi'ite militias, to retake the offensive. They have also prevented IS from what had originally seemed like an easy conquest of the Kurdish town of Kobane on the Syrian-Turkish border, and finally, and perhaps most important, reduced substantially IS's main source of financing by destroying an oil refinery IS had been using to sell petroleum abroad. In a very short time, IS has gone from seeming invincible to showing increasing vulnerability.
Finally, finishing on a pessimistic note, two recent studies have shown that the 74% of the world's GNP that is located in the export-dependent countries is stagnating or actually declining, while dependence on a single market, the United States, is increasing, which is likely to increase social and political unrest in at least the European Union, Russia and Brazil. Already the initial signs of such widespread unrest are emerging. Another study demonstrates that economic inequality in the US has reached the highest levels since the 1920's. The top 0.1% (that's one tenth of one percent) of the American people hold the same amount of wealth as the bottom ninety percent, with the bottom fifty percent having no net wealth at all, which correlates with the fact that about fifty percent of the populations is now dependent in whole or in part on government handouts. This suggests that the slaughter of the Democrats in the recent midterm elections may be not so much a triumph of the Republicans as an indication of disgust with the current social and economic environment in general, so that if the Republicans had been in power, they would have been the objects of public anger instead. Such tendencies in its most important ally are surely a danger sign for Israel.

4. Turkey Afraid of Birds and Animals Spying for Israel!
Turkey's "Foreign" Citizens

In 2008, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's official news agency, Wafa, reported that Israel had released poison-resistant rats to drive Arab residents of Jerusalem out of their homes. Scientists are still trying to understand how rats are trained to distinguish between Muslim, Christian and Jewish residents of a city.
In 2011, Saudi Arabia announced that it had "detained" a vulture carrying an Israeli leg band. The griffon vulture was carrying a GPS transmitter bearing the name of Tel Aviv University, and was condemned for being a part of a "Zionist espionage plot." We are still waiting to hear if the bird was beheaded or sentenced to life in prison.
In 2012, a migratory bird, a common bee-eater, caused alarm in a southeastern Turkish village after villagers thought it was an Israeli spy. The villagers' suspicions were aroused when the bird was found dead in a field with a metal ring around its leg stamped "Israel." After deciding its nostrils were unusually large and may have carried a microchip fitted by Israeli intelligence for spying, they called the police.
Also in 2012, Turkish authorities "detained" a kestrel with a similar ring on its leg. The bird was subjected to an x-ray to check if its body contained espionage gear. No joke; in the hospital, the name recorded on the bird's x-ray card was: Israeli spy.
"Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan can't even get Jewish conspiracies right: Doesn't he know that on Sundays, we control the banks. On Mondays, we control the newspapers. On Tuesdays, we think about how we can stage terrorist attacks and blame al-Qaeda. On Wednesdays, we attend meetings with George Soros to discuss interest rates. On Thursdays, we plan atrocities and then order the international media to broadcast cooking shows so no one need see the violence. On Fridays, we hunt Christian children so we can use their blood to make matzoh. On Saturdays, exhausted, we rest."
Such is the level of collective derangement in a country of 75 million. Quite naturally, it makes an impact on the collective psyche of Turkey's dwindling Jewish community, now barely numbering 17,000 people, who mostly live in the country's biggest metropolis, Istanbul.

5. Ultra-Orthodox Jews urge attendance at funeral of Druze police officer

Hundreds of people from Haredi sector respond to calls on social media to accompany Master Sergeant Zidan Sif on final journey: 'We won't be ungrateful, we will show out gratitude to those who sacrificed our lives for us'.

The Druze police officer who lost his life in Tuesday's terror attack is being honored by the ultra-Orthodox community, which was hit the hardest in the deadly terror attack on a synagogue, and the community is urging Haredi youths to attend the young officer's funeral service.
Unlike their Muslim brethren, Israel's Druze population, also ethnic Arabs, who emerged 1,000 years ago as a sect of Islam with a distinct identity, serve in the army and are in a sense more integrated into mainstream Israeli society. Nonetheless, the gesture is rare for the closed ultra-Orthodox society.
Scores of people paid their last respects to Zidan Sif as he was laid to rest Wednesday in the early afternoon at the Arab local council of Yanuh-Jat. President Reuven Rivlin and Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich were among the dignitaries present at the funeral.
Â
Segal estimated that some 100 residents of Har Nof will attend the funeral, "feeling that they owe their lives to the police officer. There is an extensive ultra-orthodox community in the north as well, and I expect they will also arrive at the funeral, so that there will be an impressive attendance."
"All of Israel can come to the funeral. Death unites us and this is a call against racism. It's true, a Druze is not Jewish, but he died on our behalf and terror does not distinguish between religions and nationalities, it kills innocent people just the same," he said.
"I believe that a man who died for us is definitely prepared for life in the next world," he added.
Â
Sif, one of the first two policemen to arrive at the scene to confront the two terrorists, left behind a wife, a four-months-old baby, parents and five siblings.
"Jerusalem police bows its heads in memory of Master-Sergeant Zidan Sif, a traffic control inspector in the Jerusalem police who sacrificed his life to save others and was murdered in the attack in Har Nof in Jerusalem."
Four others worshipers who were praying at the Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue - Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, Rabbi Kalman Levine, and Aryeh Kupinsky - were killed, while six people were wounded, including another police officer.
