#1. How the British Subsidize Arab Terror Against Jews
adapted from
"Facing up to UK's scandalous ongoing financing of Palestinian Arab jihad,"Â by Arnold Roth
Dear Mr Davidiy,
I have just read the Mail on Sunday article following the prompt by the two articles that appeared in the latest edition of Jerusalem News (JN-1180). I have not read this newspaper for some time due, in part, to it's biased reporting.  However, as suspicion has been raised by other sources in the recent past as to how this money was being spent, l have no reservations as to the accuracy of the reporting in this instance.
I have signed the online petition that has been organised by the newspaper itself to have this issue raised in Parliament. At the time that l signed (1720 hrs. 27/03/2016), there were 90 thousand, 153 signatures. The requirement is 100 thousand signatures to raise this as an issue in Parliament. However, it only required 10, 000 signatures to force the Conservative government to respond. I expect this issue to reach the stage where it will be raised in Parliament.
This is not the first time that money given for good causes has been 'abused' and used for purposes that which were not intended for it's use. However, the authors of the report are suggesting that British officials may have been aware of the misuse and, if this is indeed the case, then this matter requires a thorough, impartial investigation. Any government official (whether in senior or junior positions of responsibility) in relation to this matter should face at least a 'Select Committee ' but preferably a 'Public Enquiry'.
I noted with sadness that the Palestinian officials cited in the article believe that the Palestinian people are "owed" (sic) reparation from Britain. The reason given relates back to the British handling of the League of Nations mandate to administer Palestine. The main gripe appears to be the British encouragement for the return of Jews to their homeland (after almost 2,000years). Without resorting to cynicism (not intentional anyway), maybe people need to revisit the history books and remind themselves of the facts - that is the treatment of all people (especially the Palestinian people) by the Ottoman Turks. In fact, maybe it would be fairer to read further back in history and look at the treatment of all people under the Mamluks or even further back to the period of the Roman occupation? Following the logic proposed by many, maybe we should all be pursuing legal action to extract reparations from Italy because of the treatments that were meted out by the Roman Empire! I think not.
Yours sincerely,

Israel's military is the eleventh strongest in the world, according to the international defense site Global Firepower (GFP).
GFP only factored into account conventional military capabilities when assembling its list of 126 countries. In doing so, it including 50 other relevant criteria, such as economic strength, natural resources and geographical size. It did not, however, consider nuclear capabilities or the total number of weapons each military possesses.
The United States topped the list, followed by Russia and China in second and third place, respectively.
India and the United Kingdom rounded off the top five.

Before reaching his medal, Sasson went through a serious of difficult matches, which began with his victory over Christopher Sherrington of the UK. In the quarterfinal he defeated Rafael Silva of Brazil, who went on to take the bronze medal.
Sasson shined in the semi-final, where he scored an ippon take-down in just 22 seconds against Andrey Volkov of Russia, sealing his chances for a medal. But he had to fight to win the gold in a last bout with Roy Meyer, a judoka from Holland.
Sasson's gold marks the second Israeli medal in the competition, after Gili Cohen managed to grab a silver medal in her own weight class.
