In response to the Sabbath debate and Jeroboam:
In the last several years since learning the truth about the Sabbath, I have run across lots of material from both Christian arguments (based solely upon "interpretation" of NT)and Jewish arguments (typically based upon Torah).
Most sources have put the blame on Constantine, coupled with the Nicean council of 325 AD.
In an obscure little old book that is now out of publication, I ran across a most interesting footnote, and I paraphrase:
 That Constantine attempted to keep everyone happy and instituted law to guard the Sabbath for Jews as their day of Rest and Sunday for Christians as their day of Worship. This certainly would support the origin of our current "weekends".
 About 30 years after Constantine died, the Nicean Council apparently decided to abolish the law regarding Sabbath but kept Sunday on the books, hence our current dilemma.
It seems there have been multiple sources of influence and change throughout the times.
Jeroboam definitely set the tone for just allowing anyone from any tribe to be priests; worship of idols and changing feast days.
Many have contributed to the slippery slope of disobedience.

(b) Are Chinese and Japanese Buying up Strategic US Properties?

In response to possessing "gates":
I can't speak for any other countries, but property in the U.S. is being bought up at record rates by Chinese and Japanese and other nations. Vacant properties, land defaulted mortgage houses, etc. Various reports and articles over recent years infer this, but to present I have not found any data to support it. Might be it's being done on the QT.
If they're not buying properties, they are partnering with new companies and this is a fact and those things can be solidly researched.
Either way, while not using military force to possess a gate, they are being quietly, subvertly getting into position to do so, if one is willing to consider what's going on in their backyard (so-to-speak).
Might be nothing, then again, might be something.
