Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky: Time for Jews to Come Home! Urgently?

Thank you for giving what the very learned Rabbi Yosef  Chaim Kanievsky has said about returning. For sure Jews should consider honoring the commandment to come home regardless of whether or not the Moshiah's return were just around the corner. Then we would be ready for him.
However, does not Elijah come first to turn us back to the teachings of Hashem through Moshe through out the land, so that we do not have to go into exile again.
I am wondering if the Rabbi is feeling the urgency of Joseph Moshiah coming with those who have assimilated among the Gentiles. However, there is still repentance, I assume on their part before he can do that. It seems that those who believe, think they are Ephraim or Joseph would see what is going on in the land of their in heritance (West Bank) and have a motivation to come and restore it to Israel. The desire to come though must be preceded with the right connection to Judah. That seems to be the bottle neck in all of this huge group that say they want to come home. However, if they could find their Joseph Moshiah that can help them know how to repent and group themselves in such a way as to be able to come, that would make it possible.
If Judah and Joseph were to come home perhaps Hashem would send Elijah to turn our hearts to the forefathers and teachings Moses gave us, we would soon have Moshiah.
It is hard to know how Joseph and Judah will fulfill the mission of going to the east and coming back to swoop down on Gaza and recoup the land for Hashem. Will it be before Joseph returns home or after?
There is a lot to think about and I appreciate any news you give that helps us understand where we are on the road to peace and the return of Hashem's Shechina. He will give us the Moshiah when it is the right time.

We in the Hebrew Roots Movement at this time, i.e. the early risers from the Valley of Dry Bones have been called, i.e. drafted into the Almighty's army of servants to serve in His "end-time Work" of the regathering ALL of Israel (Isa. 29:14. We have not been given a strong "voice" because we are splintered into divisive factions based on lies inherited from our fathers, (Jer. 16:19. While this is "natural" and understandable, it is not sustainable if we are to do what the Almighty wants us to say and do. For that to happen we need to "hear His voice." This was true in the wilderness, and is true now, as we are called out of the wilderness of isms, philosophies, religions, outlooks and mind-sets of the nations.Â
