1. Why is Germany Left Out?
Ishmael wrote:
Hello Yair,
I was wondering why Germany is left out of your list of European countries in The Tribes. It has been demonstrated by numerous sources that the Germanic tribes were Israelite tribes, so I was curious why you left this out. Here is an example: http://www.nordiskisrael.dk/artikler/germany_a_branch_of_israel.htm

The URL you quote from is not bad as far as information goes. We have quoted from him on at least one occasion. Nevertheless he is anti-Jewish in a mild manner, i.e. he is prejudiced against Jews and when the question of Jews comes up he will be negative BUT he is not rabid, he will not bark all day long about it like a made dog. He will however quote from others that do. He will not quote from us which is probably all the better.
This is however symptomatic.
Apart from that you and the URL raise some valid questions. We have written about this in the past and in the near future may write on the subject yet again.

2. Jay: Jewish Musician Felix Mendelssohn and the Royal Wedding March
Shalom Yair
This quote is evidence to me of a connection of the British royal family with Judaism.  Much earlier I believe I wrote about King Henry VIII as being left handed, suggesting he was Benjaminite. The name "Felix" is a cartoon name of a cat. I have seven cats and had more and named one of these with this name.
Jay
FELIX MENDELSSOHN
"Felix Mendelssohn was a widely known German composer of Jewish origin. He lived and worked during the early Romantic period.
"Felix was born into a prominent and rich family. The child grew up in an intellectual environment and was recognized early as a musical prodigy. Despite the fact that his parents didn't pay much attention to his extraordinary talent, the boy enjoyed early success in his native country. Mendelssohn's conservative musical tastes set him apart from many of his musical contemporaries. On the 25th of January, 1858 his  "Wedding March" was played at the marriage ceremony of Queen Victoria's daughter."

3. New Article. The Name in Prophecy from Rabbi Avraham Feld
A Verbal Anecdote
http://hebrewnations.com/articles/guest/feld2.html
Extracts:
Rabbi Feld realized that the Sages understanding that the Almighty HIMSELF said that name would need to be hidden also implied that the name would be lost.
This in fact was not only a commandment but also a Prophecy that has been fulfilled, as Rabbi Feld noted.

5. Weekly Torah Portion. Yitro. 10 Commandments
Exodus ch. 18:1-20:23
Jethro the Kenite from Midian joins Israel. Jethro advises Moses to reform the administrative hierarchy of Israel.
His advice is accepted. The Ten Commandments.
Extract:
Exodus 20 (KJ2000):
1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 You shall have no other gods before me.
4 You shall not make unto yourself any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7Y ou shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
13 You shall not kill.
14 You shall not commit adultery.
15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is your neighbor's.
Point of Interest.
The Commandment Against Theft (Exodus 20:15) in the Ten Commandments is a Prohibition (punishable by Death) against Kidnapping and Subjecting another person.
The prohibitions against theft of property are learnt from other verses.
