1. Paul David Porter: The Syrian Exodus and Return of the Ten Tribes?
Dear Mr Davidiy,
I am continuing my studies into the history of the Northern Kingdom (Israel), and the identity of these people in the world today.  Having read two of your books: Ephraim and Ancestry (still processing the information) and, having absorbed other works concerning this subject matter, l find the case for Britain to be of the tribe of Ephraim very compelling.
To return to my titled query - the apparent Exodus of the Syrian people. I am curious as to your thoughts on this. As you are aware, huge numbers of people have been leaving Syria and heading towards Europe for some time now (during the last five years of the Syrian War). Not all of the people crossing over into Europe are of Syrian origin - some have come from Afghanistan; Iraq; Pakistan and Turkey amongst others. The designated status of these people is "Refugee" although it has been reasonably argued that some are 'Economic Migrants'. I think it is safe to say that the majority are refugees and that this said majority is from Syria. There are various figures used by the media to substantiate the claims made by the reporting of this but l think it reasonable to accept figures around a million people. Further, this is now classed as the WORST refugee crises since WWI.
The preferred countries within Europe that large numbers of these people would wish to settle are Germany and Britain.
Is Syria being depopulated in anticipation of a Biblical event that is imminent or possibly to occur in the not too distant future? Or is this war (Syria) that is drawing the major combatants; America; Britain; France; Russia the wider Middle East nations into a more dangerous situation that has been anticipated since the end of WWII? Of course, the belligerence of IS cannot be understated in the escalation of these events. It is simply that l do not have a view on IS at this time that l have formulated as this ideology has adherents in Britain who have lived with the benefits that British society has accorded them but have rejected that society and, worse still wish to harm that society. I am aware of the belief in an aspect of Islam that wishes to see the world an Islamic caliphate. I am also aware that part of this thinking is of the Shia [Iranian] branch of Islam that is expecting the imminent return of the 13th Mahdi.Â
It is just that l have great difficulty reconciling the belief in an idea that requires it's adherents to abandon all logic and reason and, more importantly to remove all compassion and empathy towards mankind.
This is where much of the thinking that takes place in Britain today is confused. I say confused deliberately based on my own opinion. Since the introduction of 'Political Correctness ' into British society, debates on topics such as immigration have become more convoluted. Now, it must be said that racism and prejudice are two of the elements in society that brought about the introduction of PC for good measure. It's just that PC now has an impact on not just what people say but also on what they "should" think. This is stifling debate on many key issues.
The left liberal voices in Britain are active and vocal on many of these topics. It is such voices that have the greater influence in the media and a lot of influence in British Politics that decide key policies. It would be logical to say that with rational thinking, good decisions can be achieved. However, this is not always the case since the introduction of PC.
Whilst Palestine does not occupy the thoughts of the general British public on a daily basis, there are those from the liberal left who see the plight of the Palestinian people as a major issue that needs addressing. It is fair to say that a compassionate person would indeed wish to see the end of suffering. This empathetic view is, by no small measure, rooted in Christianity which, in turn is a branch that grew out of Judaism. Now here is the conundrum, how to reconcile the Jewish people with the Palestinian people! This simple sentence contains a complexity of issues or does it?
Returning back to Ephraim potentially being Britain. If this point was accepted by the British people, then it would follow that what is to happen to Ephraim is as stated in Scripture. Without drawings on every detail as prophesied, I wish to highlight but one - that is the return of the "remnant" of the lost ten tribes to the 'promised land'. This is where it gets a little more difficult as we don't have an actual figure to work with. Looking at the figures for all of the people alive today who inhabit all of the lands today identified as being of the lost ten tribes, we can accept that the figure is plus one billion? ( it is certainly higher than this but l am using conservative figures). If we were to remove the non-Israelite people, then this number would reduce noticeably. Also, according to prophesy, this number will reduce dramatically after the 'final battle'. However, again as scripture says, included in the final figure will be a number of gentiles who accompany the returning lost ten tribes after accepting the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
The land that the 'remnant' are due to return to includes Turkey (most of); Syria; Iraq; Lebanon; ISRAEL; Palestinian territories; Jordan and part of Egypt.
A ' remnant ' people (House of Joseph) of substantial size could comfortably fit into this large geographical area along with their brothers, the diaspora, of the House of Judah IF the region is already depopulated. Maybe this is what we are starting to see evidenced with the events in Syria. By extension, maybe this in turn is what will happen with the Palestinian people i.e. they are to be shipped or perhaps flown ( as scripture refers to re: Philistines) in the near future.
The middle east is viewed in the West as a 'powder keg' waiting to blow up. This dramatic viewpoint may or may not be a true representation of the area. A rational argument could be put for this indeed being the case. Whilst the upcoming referendum on Britain's continued membership of the European Union is of paramount importance in most people's minds. I think it is safe to say that the events in the middle east occupies much of the thinking and indeed worrying taking place in Britain today. The other item being 'spoon fed' to us by the media is the upcoming Presidential election in the USA. This is another event that will impact upon Britain in a significant way than any other nation (of course, with the exception of the USA and Israel).
Yours sincerely,
Paul David Porter

+Sion Davies Yes. Check out the work of Alan Wilson. Fascinating stuff. You can find some of his lectures here on Youtube. Also, some researchers argue that the Welsh motto "Cymru am byth!" (Wales forever!) is a derivative of the Assyrian "Beth Khumri" (The House of Omri/Israel).
Also, Wales' motto is "Cymru am byth" (Wales forever!). Parallels can be drawn with the Assyrian inscription/expression "Beth Khumri" (the House of Omri/Israel).

US Elections: Present Presidential Candidates and Jewish Input? Anecdote Concerning Donald Trump
In reference to your interesting as always write up on US Elections: Present Presidential Candidates and Jewish Input? Anecdote Concerning Donald Trump (7 March 2016, 27 Adar-A, 5776) I would like to make the following comments.
I have been studying with you for quite a number of years. My Father's line is Ten Tribe through the Huguenots of Normandy and the Channel Islands, DNA Haplo group of J2. My Mother's father's line is an I1old time Jewish DNA Haplo group, from the Palatine Region of the Rhine valley. Both Family Trees are easily chased.
I tell you all this because when Donald Trump threw his hat in the ring to run for president I wondered if this could be the election and the man of Manasseh that could lead Joseph into battle with the house of Esau as described in Obadiah 1:18 as well as yours and Rabbinical teaching and interpretation of prophetic events.
Here is what I found; I did up a family Tree of Donald Trump and easily chased his tree also back to the same area of the Palatine Region my Mothers folks came from. No solid sign of Jewish bloodlines to that point. I was fortunate enough to know a well educated German Historian/teacher from Germany. He told me that although at onetime that there had been a large Jewish community in that area, it also had a fairly large Anglo community and really did not fit in that well with the German population as a whole.
I guess each of us can make up our own opinions on this evidence but the possibilities are there. Anglo/Manasseh/USA/Trump????
