3. Daniel V. "Asher and Gad in Sweden!"
In Swedish mythology you have a people that was thought to be half gods known in Swedish as Asar(plural in swedish) Ass(singular in swedish). In the Old Norse language, Asar was pronounced as Asir.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86sir
There is also other half gods is Swedish folk-lore known as vanir(plural), vanr(singular).
Regarding Gad...
If the Goths settled in Westrogothia (old swedish name know Vastegotland). They also vent to the island Gutland / Gothland (old Swedish names, now known as Gottland). Can read about it here...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotlander
On this island they still talk different than Swedes. They had a language known as Gutnish, and still have other customs and traditions. They had their own laws known as Gutalagen up until 1595 A.D. It has similarities to the Halakha. You can look at it here translated to English and with links to the laws on the left...

They also has a short recorded history known as Gutasaga. If you want to look at the original language you can look here...
http://runeberg.org/gutasaga/
Here it's translated to english, it talks about travel routes and settlements and more...

There is a document about Gutasaga in English here...
http://www.vsnrweb-publications.org.uk/Text%20Series/Guta%20saga.pdf
Here is a quote from that document regarding Gothic tribes ancestory...
Gapt (or Gaut), who had a son named Hulmul (Humli or Humal), called the father of the Danes, himself the father of Augis (Agis or Avigis), the father of Amal, the father of Hisarna, the father of Ostrogotha, the father of Hunuil, the father of Athal and so on;
Another quote from this linked pdf document...
F Dreams about snakes
The dream that Huitastierna has on her wedding night, of the three snakes issuing from her womb or breast, has folklore parallels. The motif of pregnant women dreaming of events connected with the birth of their children is very commonplace. There is, for example, a tale concerning William the Conqueror's mother who is said to have dreamed that a great tree grew from her womb. Equally, dreams concerning snakes are not unusual and the combination of the two motifs (with the snakes proceeding from some part of a woman's anatomy) is also encountered. Henning Feilberg (1886-1914, IV, 316, s. v. orm) mentions a motif concerning a snake growing out of a young girl's back and coiling itself around her neck. Snakes also figure largely in Celtic myth in various guises: as protectors, as fertility symbols and in connection with the under-world and death.
The snake motif is common on Gotlandic picture-stones and one in particular, from Smiss in Gotland, is of interest; see Note to 2/8.
