#3. Apology and Deletion of Video Clip and Article
We announced the removal of a video clip and article attacking John Kerry because someone with the same name was offended by our use of that name as a point of attack.
Our rejection of the proposals of Kerry remained.
Now Kerry has gone but his doctrine lives on,

James Norman "Jim" Mattis (born September 8, 1950) is the 26th and current United States Secretary of Defense, serving in the Trump administration, and a retired United States Marine Corps general.Â

Israeli-Palestinian peace process
Mattis supports a two-state solution model for Israeli-Palestinian peace. He says the current situation in Israel is "unsustainable" and argues that the settlements harm prospects for peace and could theoretically lead to an apartheid-like situation in the West Bank.[61] In particular, he believes the lack of a two-state solution is upsetting to the Arab allies of America, which weakens US esteem amongst its Arab allies. Mattis strongly supports John Kerry on the Middle East peace process, praising Kerry for being "wisely focused like a laser-beam" towards a two-state solution.[62]
Meanwhile the administration of President D. Trump has shown itself sympathetic to Israel. Let us hope that this continues.

2. Short answers to recent questions.
We may try to add more details later.
===============================
===============================
(a). Dancing
Which of the 12 Tribes was known for ability or desire to dance?
===============================
Reply:
Levi and Judah
At present we are not aware of any Tribe being noted as especially proficient in dancing.
Both Levi and Judah were said to have musical talents.
Miriam from the Tribe of Levi led the Israelite women in a dance.
Exodus 15:20:  Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.Â
David from Judah was also recorded as dancing.
2 Samuel 6:16, ....leaping and dancing before the LORD.Â
The Dance of Mahanaim: Gad or Manasseh?
Song of Solomon 6:
13 Come back, come back, O Shulammite;
Come back, come back, that we may gaze at you!
Why should you gaze at the Shulammite,
As at the dance of the two companies [Mahanaim]?
The word translated above as the two companies in Hebrew is "Mahanaim."
Mahanaim was a site east of the Jordan on the border between the Tribes of Gad and Manasseh.
Mahanaim either belonged entirely to Gad but was on the border with Manasseh OR it may have been divided into two two sections with half pertaining to the Tribe of Gad (Joshua 13:26) and another half to Manasseh (Joshua 13:30).
[A similar situation is found in Beth-el which is listed as pertaining to both Benjamin and Ephraim].
It was also settled by Levites (Joshua 21:38) but here, as in some other cases, this may mean that Levites dwelt in their own part of the city with the rest of it belonging to Gad and Manasseh.
The Maidens of Shiloh, Ephraim.
Shiloh was a city of Ephraim (Joshua 16:5). The maidens of Shiloh used to dance in the vineyards at an annual festival (Judges 21:21). This was apparently known throughout all Israel.
Juges 21:
19 So they said, 'Behold, there is a feast of the LORD from year to year in Shiloh, which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south side of Lebonah.' 20 And they commanded the sons of Benjamin, saying, 'Go and lie in wait in the vineyards, 21 and watch; and behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to take part in the dances, then you shall come out of the vineyards and each of you shall catch his wife from the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

(b) Crime and Punishment in Scripture
Is there much evidence and commentary on the result of sin in a persons life prior to the destruction of the temple? And or 2nd temple era? Meaning if a man were to break the Torah or do wrong in general, would he see the physical result of it manifest upon his body or in some way it would become more self evident in there life? An example would be Mariam getting leprosy from complaining against Moses wife? Shalom. Thx

Reply:
Sin was punished.
Ordeal of the Bitter Water
An adulterous woman (sotah) would be liable to die a terrible death at the hands of heaven.
This was the Ordeal of the bitter water:
Numbers 5:
27 When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness, and her abdomen will swell and her thigh will waste away, and the woman will become a curse among her people. 28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will then be free and conceive children.
This only worked if the husband himself was without sin.
When the number of adulterers increased the Ordeal was stopped. This happened sometimes in the early Second Temple period.
Leprosy
The disease "Tsarat" was actually a variety of afflictions that attacked the walls of houses, clothing, and human skin.
In all cases the sages, supported by linguistic indications, attributed the cause to social transgressions social harmony, e.g. jealousy, malicious resentment, tale-bearing, slander, etc..
This seems to have discontinued after the First Temple Era.
Sin in General
Psalms, Proverbs, and the Prophets all describe sin as liable to cause physical afflictions, disasters, sickness, poverty, and lack of children, etc.
These problems could also visit the righteous BUT in such cases it would not usually be a permanent situation.
The Book of Job deals with the moral and philosophical issues raised when the righteous suffer through no fault of their own.

(c) Hebrew as the First Language
Yair, what do other texts speak of on the subject of the first language before the tower of Babel?
===============================
Reply:
The first language according to all opinions was Hebrew.
All languages in some way or other have links back to a Hebrew original.
The Almighty confused the tongues of man at the Tower of Babel.
Genesis 11:
5 And the Lord said, 'Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
6 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.'
7 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
8 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
Indications however are that the "confusion" (Hebrew, "balah") of tongues was an intermix of existing speech.
They spoke Hebrew. Each Hebrew letter has its own significance; so too with the vowels; and the combinations of letters in groups of twos, and threes.
These are all building blocks of the language with their own rules. The confusion consisted of each entity taking the building blocks and setting off in their own direction away from the others.
This means that the original tongue can still be re-constructured from present languages.
The Hebrew original may still be discerned.
Scholars such as Isaac Mozeson have done work along these lines.

Why Is Hebrew Called the Holy Tongue (Lashon Hakodesh)?
By Yehuda Shurpin
http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3354288/jewish/Why-Is-Hebrew-Called-the-Holy-Tongue-Lashon-Hakodesh.htm
The Hebrew language is extremely potent. The Torah tells us that until the incident of the Tower of Babel, all of mankind spoke the same language: Biblical Hebrew.1 In fact, the power of the Holy Tongue was what fueled the initial success of the tower-builders.2 To deter them, G d 'confused' their languages, and the many diverse languages were born.3 ...
Nachmanides is of the opinion that Hebrew is inherently holy because it is the language through which G d communicated the Ten Commandments and the Torah on Mount Sinai, it's the medium for His communication with prophets, and it's the language of the names of G d and His angels.10

3. Food for Thought

(a) The Maharal showed the Ten Tribes will be in North America in the End Times!
The 'Maharal of Prague,' (Rabbi Yehuda Loewe d. 1609), was an important Rabbinical scholar and philosopher. His thought greatly influenced modern day Jewry.
In our work "Role to Rule" (2007, now out of print and in part replaced by "To Rule the World"Â (2016)
http://www.britam.org/RuleWorld.html
and more especially
in "Ephraim" 4th edition (2016)
http://www.britam.org/ephraim.html
we showed how the Maharal indicated that in the End Times the lost Ten Tribes would re-appear from the New World meaning North America.
This was actually hinted at in Deuteronomy 29:28
http://britam.org/now3/1895Now.html#h6
Deuteronomy 29:
28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
The words translated as "another land" in Hebrew are Erets (Land) Acheret (Another).
Rabbinical Tradition in the Mishna (Sanhedrin 10) speaks of Erets Acheret as a specific place where the Lost Ten Tribes will be located in the End Times.
This expression actually means "New World" meaning North America.

With these thoughts in mind consider the extracts below from a Rabbinical scholar whose eyes have not been enlightened in the same way ours have.

(b) Where Are the Ten Lost Tribes? The saga of the ten lost tribes of Israel-Part 3

Hidden Potential- Unity in Israel
Rabbi Yehuda Loewe (d. 1609), the 'Maharal of Prague,' taught that we will never discover the tribes by searching. He explained that the exile of the ten tribes is a divine decree that will not be rescinded until the messianic era. Even knowing their whereabouts would already be a measure of reunification, and G-d has decreed that there not be reunification until the time of the final redemption. In other words, ultimately it is G-d's decree that is holding us back from discovering the ten lost tribes.
Additionally, Maharal suggests a non-literal interpretation of the Midrash quoted above which describes the exile and reunification of the ten tribes.
At present, he explains, these tribes exist only in potential (this is the reason they are not mentioned by name). In fact, their potential is so obscured that it is as if they do not exist at all. G-d bringing the tribes out from under the earth is another way of saying that He will transform this potential into a reality. The earth is particularly suited to this metaphor, as it already contains the potential for bringing forth fruit. Hence the reference to the Mount of Olives.
He adds that it is for this reason that the Midrash states, 'To three places were the ten tribes exiled,' Â to indicate that they were separated from the Jewish nation in three ways:
One is in distance, which is why it says that they were exiled to the Sambatyon River.
The second exile is to indicate that not only are they separated in distance, but that there are obstacles in the way as well. This is the meaning of the statement that they were exiled to a distant land behind the Sambatyon River.
And the third way in which they are separated is that they were exiled among the nations and were 'swallowed up' amongst them to such an extent that they themselves do not necessarily know that they are of the ten tribes. This is why it says that the ten tribes were taken to exile and 'were swallowed': they have totally forgotten their Jewish Identity, as if it has been 'swallowed' by some external force. 30Â
