3. New Hebrew Month of Sivan, Tribe of Zebulon. Feast of Shavuot
May 26 th, 2017, is the New Month day of Sivan, 5777.
This is attributed to the Tribe of Zebulon by the most accepted opinions (HaGara and Ha-Arizal).
Others ascribe the month of Sivan to Ephraim (Midrash Peliah) or Levi (Rabad).
The month of Sivan includes the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost, Sivan 6) which is also noted as being the Feast of Firstfruits and reading the Book of Ruth.
Shavuot was the day ion which the Children of Israel received the Torah when they were in the wilderness.
This year Shavuot takes place from sunset May 30, 2017 to sunset May 31.

There is no "Ephraimite Mashiach King David."
The Ten Tribes when they return will assumedly have a leader.
This person is referred to as the Messiah son of Joseph.
He will be descended from the Tribe of Ephraim according to most sources.
He is no where mentioned expressly in the Bible but his presence may be presumed fromt he process that the Ten tribes will have to undergo.

President Donald Trump and part of his family visited Israel but neglected to drop in to say hello.
Maybe next time?
Perhaps the most important development was the confirmation that the great and foremost Rabbinical Authority, the Hatam Softer, really did opine that the Atlantic Ocean area, expressly including the British Isles, in the Messianic Era would belong to Israel.
This ties up with other sources tracing the Lost Ten Tribes to that area as we hope to show shortly in an article.

This information is very important both concerning the Ten Tribes and in our outreach to the Judah including Rabbinical circles.
In the long run it could prove very important!

This book is now out of print.
It was quite a large book and in effect gave most of the available information now known concerning the Khazars.
We proved that the Khazars were descended from Israelites.
Each chapter of the work was well-written in its own right but the mass of information was probably overwhelming.
It may have been difficult to see how each chapter linked up with the others.
A shorter more succinct work should be prepared.
We hope to produce such a book.
Regarding other people,
There was a conference of pseudo-Ephraimite types in Jerusalem.
It was well-attended with more than 250 people from mainly Israelite countries but also including numerous others.

It was probably successful. No further report has yet reached us.
We had been invited several times to speak there which was a change since in the past we had been boycotted from such events.
Nevertheless we did not attend.
Perhaps we should have?
We have differences of belief, opinion and attitude with some of the organizers but that should not have worried us.
In the past we have usually spoken wherever and whenever we were invited to regardless of who the hosts were.
In principle this still holds.
Anyway we are still on the map and going ahead.
Money comes in and helps us get by.
We have good followers.
We could use more and occasionally we seem to lurch from one crisis to the next though in hindsight the Divine Providence has always helped us get through.
We genuinely believe that whoever helps Brit-Am/Hebrew nations shall be blessed from above.

We put out two video clips that quality wise were quite good (for us) but may not have been the most popular as far as the subject matter.
Nevertheless it was good to get back in speaking practice.

Books on the Ten Tribes
We should perhaps begin to put a bit more emphasis on the directly Biblical aspects of our message and also deepen our own research in this area.
New opportunities have opened up that may be important.
This is a work of significance and should be made known to as many as possible.
Our attention was drawn to yet another writer on Ten Tribes matters. The material is quite good in part though mixed up with conspiracy fantasies and other errors.
He also apparently used some of our writings though he does not seem to have mentioned us. This is now almost par for the course.
We also wrote a few articles from Quora that were relatively well received. Some more than others.
Writing for Quora is not on the whole directly connected with our Brit-Am goal of spreading knowledge concerning the Ten Tribes.
Nevertheless, it may help in the long run.
If you are interested go to Quora and place the name Yair Davidiy in the Question Box. We appear twice under the same name but separate personalities with different portrait photos.
Each of the two Yair Davidiy "personalities" has its own separate list of articles. This was not intentional.
At the personal level,
The week before last we were sick. This week we are better and are exercising again. The exercise has positive and negative outcomes, e.g. we need to sleep more, but on the whole is necessary for us.
Next week we have a Bat-Mitsvah for one of our grand-daughters which is welcome and should be nice.

If you could wear any sort of yarmulke, which yarmulke would you consider the most professional (e.g. black velvet, knitted, suede) in your opnion?
A yarmulke is a Jewish skull cap also known as a "kippa," in plural "kippot."
In lieu of a kippah other types of head covering are also possible.
"Yarmulke" is an Aramaic word connoting "Fear of the King." The "King" in this case means God. In Israel the Hebrew term "kippa" is used.
I assume you are asking for social reasons and wish to know which type would probably be the most acceptable.
The answer depends on which Jewish social circle you are interacting with.
In general I would say black velvet is best. It looks good, and is compatible with whatever else one may wear. Most importantly it is acceptable to all social circles, as explained below.
Knitted kippot are associated with the National Religious, Modern Orthodox, and Traditional but not-necessarily-so-observant communities. They also come in all shapes and designs. This too complicates matters. The color red for instance should be avoided.
Suede kippot have a complicated structure and could suggest the wearer is not so serious.
So too, leather kippot are like leather jackets and not something worn every day.
Black velvet kippot are worn mainly by the Ultra-Orthodox but are also acceptable to all other groups and are worn by some adherents of all of them. This, when no other information is available, is what makes them the best choice.
