Hi:
On the genetic findings of Jewish ancestry, we seem to forget that Christianity spread in the first century everywhere, wherever the Romans ruled and beyond, including India and China, and Africa. Once the Jewish population became Christian they intermarried with any other ethnic group. This may account for the European stock, and for the Jewish ancestry in the European groups. This doesn't reduce the fact of the Jewish gene appearing bc of the ten tribes as they went everywhere, including the British Isles, which is reflected in the Book of Tara. This book tells the story of Prophet Jeremiah taking his granddaughters away from Jerusalem into Egypt, escaping the Babylonians. From there He and his granddaughter Tara, one of the daughters of King Zedekiah, and a large retinue went to the Meletian Kingdom in Spain and from there to Ireland, where Tara marries the descendant of the Miletian kings, descendants from Zerah, twin of Perez. So by 598 or so, the descendants of the sons of Judah and Tamar, come together again. So not only do the ten tribes leave descendants, but also the descendants of Judah.

The Mayas and the Incas talked of a man who didn't look like them, a white man with a beard and light hair (Natives of Central and South America didn't have body hair or develop gray hair) who taught them, including saying that men like them will come back, as it happened in the late 1400\s and early 1500s.  They migrated in stages to Western Europe.
 Josiah son of Amon, King of Judah, may therefore in a sense be considered the last king of Israelites from both sections of the nation.

4. Scottish Ancestry
Hello:
I don't recall why; but I recently began researching the origins of Scotland. My mother and both grandfathers were born there, and emigrated to Canada. They are long gone; so I likely can't collect much genealogical information. It surprised me to learn that the earliest settlers in Scotland were from (a few?) of the Tribes of Israel, and this motivated me to explore a little deeper. My mother's surname is "Simpson"; but; that seems to be as far as I can take my new "roots" project. I don't think DNA testing would reveal much of my ancestry. Too general. wouldn't it be nice if there existed an unbroken chain; one that would go back many generations.
Perhaps I have a few drops of Jewish ancestry. My late brother had red hair, and blue eyes. Apparently; the Jews around Kind David's time had whitish skin, and a ruddy complexion. Red hair was also prevalent. Interesting; red hair--and blue eyes--aren't too common in the general population. An ancestral clue perhaps?
In any case; I'm enjoying your videos.

Hi Yair,
Thanks for articles, I have never heard that idea that God might see Commonwealth citizens as adopted Israelites, that feels right to me having lived and worked in the commonwealth particularly in Canada, but also having visited Uganda and South Africa.
Re. Christian replacement theology, I and many Christians are not comfortable with this teaching as it does not fit properly to New Testament teaching. It is simplistic and triumphalist and leads to other things. Particularly I feel uncomfortable with the persecution and rejection of Jews and "cheap grace" which comes from a complacent attitude towards salvation. The history of how Jews have been treated by Christians over the centuries is a real stumbling block to communication. For example the "blood libel" accusation that Jews used Christians in human sacrifice at passover may have started in the murder of William of Norwich in 1144, in my local city. But there is no evidence for any Jews carrying out human sacrifice and it is banned in the bible. The expulsion of Jews from England in 1290 may have come from this wrong accusation and others like it. There has been some repentence from this but we still need further repentence from this action that lead to many Jews being killed and exiled. Until this happens I think there will continue to be barriers in the communication with Jewish people, uneasiness and fear.
There is a concept of natural branches being broken off the vine to admit the gentiles (i.e. replacement), but a reminder that gentiles are not the root and not to get proud. Then this time comes to an end and the natural branches (i.e. Judah and Israel) are re-grafted in again through upsurge in belief, and there is a sense that this re-grafting is an easier thing because the natural branch belongs to the root.

The Greek word (they will walk) refers to the Rabbinic term Halakah (the way one walks). The Douai Rheims Bible uses the word "follow" in English. The Greek word means a rule or measure or level and translates the hebrew  (kaneh) (a measuring rod). This evokes the imagery of a well balanced or level scales between Jews and Gentiles in Messiah. Unfortunately the Gentile believers gradually decided to place everything on the Gentile side of the scale and ignore the Halakah as taught by Paul and the early Church. Not only did they want Jews in the Church to deny the value of their circumcision and all Jewish observances, they then decided to nullify the Jewish people by replacing themselves as the Israel of God and taking the special mercy and role reserved for the Jewish people to themselves.
