The Ten Tribes were exiled by the Assyrians in two major directions:
(1) Most were taken overland to the area of Mannae south of the Caucasus from where they moved to the north.
(2) Others were taken in Phoenicians and Minoan (Greek-type) ships directly to the west i.e. to Britain, Ireland, France, and Spain. Those in Spain later moved out.
