Rabbi David Katz Criticizes Yair Davidiy and others

# Rabbi Katz is currently a lecturer in Tzfat while being a dedicated father and passionate Noahide influence to various worldwide communities. Rabbi Katz has lived in Tzfat for nearly 15 years after having made Aliyah from Cleveland Ohio where he began his studies in a Telshe Yeshiva Kollel. Rabbi Katz has been steadily based and is easily accessible in the Old City of Tzfat area, offering his expertise in Noahide contemporary issues of all sorts. #
In the talks below he speaks of many different issues some of which have a peripheral interest for us. In the first talk towards the end he mentions us with some resect mingled with a pmuted implied criticism.
Rabbi David Katz (Soul Mazal). Are The Nations the Lost Tribes?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfE5whbmDtU
Speaks of the book "Kol HaTor" and the future redemption according to the Vilna Gaon.
Criticizes ideas that identify the Lost Ten tribes with people from Burma, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Nigeria, India, etc.
Criticizes the immigration of Russian non-Jewish immigrants to Israel.
Distinguishes between Ephraimites (people in the west who remain Christian but claim to from the TTs) and Zera Yisrael (Asians, Africans, etc) who claim they want to be Jewish. Criticizes both groups.
Criticizes the idea of easy conversions.
This is a well spoken entertaining humorous delivery.
He seems to take a lot of different ideas concerning the Lost Ten Tribes and mix them together in order to ridicule them.
At place, 55.40, he speaks of Yair Davidiy.
He seems careful not to be negative towards us but mildly critical. His main criticism seems to be that we are not clear enough. [He himself is not so clear concerning us!].
He seems to say that the problem with us is that we say who we believe the Lost Ten Tribes are without obligating the people concerned to convert to Judaism?
Or at least we are at fault for not emphasizing their obligation to believe in one God and to love and serve God.
He also (in accordance with what he said previously) is apparently not certain as to whether our identifications are correct.
He seems to have had contact with Ephraimite Christians and speaks about them somewhat mockingly but in an entertaining basically sympathetic manner.

3. What do we really Say?
The Lost Ten Tribes are among Western Peoples.
Based on the Bible and various sources not only may we say where the Ten Tribes are BUT we can also tentatively even locate various Tribes among them.
This knowledge should be make known.
This is what we do.
Descendants of the Ten Tribes should know who they are.
They should support the Jews in the State of Israel. This is part of their task in this generation.
For the time being at least they should stay where they are.
The places they are in should also be considered potentially part of Israel.
[The teaching of the Hatam Softer may be considered as consistent with this view.]
They should learn the Hebrew Bible.
They definitely should not try to missionize Jews.
Whether or not they should remain Christian is not clear to us. Perhaps they should not BUT our Mandate does not involve this issue!
To repeat:
We believe we know who the Ten Tribes are.
This knowledge should be made known to everybody especially to the people concerned.
They should help the Jews in Israel and elsewhere.
They should believe in the Bible and One God but to what degree of Oneness and to what depth and beyond that is not (to our understanding) a concern of ours at present, if ever.
Our task is to reveal who the Ten Tribes are, spread the information, encourage identification with the State of Israel and pro-Jewish non-Missionary Biblical awareness.
We are a movement rather than a denomination and as such do not need to enforce articles of faith.

Are Anglo-Saxons Germanic?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8AtRKB_B90
Duration: 13.24 minutes
The Anglo-Saxons i.e. English Speaking Peoples of British origin are named after the Angles and Saxons. They invaded what we now call England from Frisia in the Netherlands and from south of Denmark. They spoke a tongue close to the Frisian one and classified as Germanic. We hold that they not Germanic in origin but rather of Hebrew stock. See:

Very Interesting stuff Mr Davidiy. Thank you for putting so much time into bringing Lost Truth back into the light. I can not imagine the endless hours of scholarly research that you must engage in. It's not a popular point of view though, is it? More of a nice safe cover up. If this ever goes Mainstream, and it will, the Impact will be beyond Large. I suspect you are a Hassidic Jew and I have seen the Hassidic guys in NY doing things, in protest of what i assume modern USA Jews are doing or are 'About'. It all looks to be quite complex and differentiated, even within Judaism. I hope my spelling or method of address is not offensive.

Brit-Am Reply: The Commentators noted that even though Bilaam had been told not to go and it should have been obvious that he should not do so he kept coming back with the request. He never expressed opposition tot he request itself only doubt about his ability to carry it our if the Almighty should be opposed. He was also present in the ranks of the Moabites and Midianites after the blessings. [He had gone away (Numbers 24:25) and come back!] They then sent their daughters to seduce and mislead the Israelites (Numbers 25:1,6). He must, due to his status, have had a hand in this. The Israelites later executed Bilaam along with the five kings of Midian (Numbers 31:8). He may have advised them to do it as the Sages said.

7. Question about the Tribe of Simeon
Re
Where are the TTs? Where-are-the-other-10-tribes-of-Israel-besides-those-of-Judah-and-Benjamin
http://hebrewnations.com/articles/quora/tentribes/tts.html
Gary Atkinson asked:
What about Simeon? They were located in Southern Kingdom.
===============================
Brit-Am Reply:
Simeon was located to the southeast of the southern Kingdom. We have shown from archaeological evidence and from Biblical indications that Simeon was nevertheless at least in part connected to the northern Kingdom of Israel.
See our article on Simeon:
http://britam.org/simeon.html
As well as notes on:
Kuntillet Ajrud
http://britam.org/ezekiel/chapter8.html
From these articles you will see that part of Simeon was east of the Jordan and/or to the north.
In addition Simeon to the south of Judah was in some way actually subservient to northern Israel and exiled as part of the Ten Tribes.
Our proofs include Biblical Passages, Midrashim and Archaeological evidence.

Lord Byron, "Hebrew Melodies"
WERE MY BOSOM AS FALSE AS THOU
DEEM'ST IT TO BE.
I. Were my bosom as false as thou deem'st it
TO be,
I need not have wandered from far Galilee ;
It was but abjuring my creed to efface
The curse which, thou say'st, is the crime of my race.
II. If the bad never triumph, then God is with thee !
If the slave only sin, thou art spotless and free !
If the Exile on earth is an Outcast on high.
Live on in thy faith, but in mine I will die.
III. I have lost for that faith more than thou canst bestow,
As the God who permits thee to prosper doth know ;
In his hand is my heart and my hope and in thine
The laud and the life which for him I resign.Â
