Re
Arousal of Evangelicals. Why do Protestants tend to be more pro-zionist than other Christian sects?
http://hebrewnations.com/articles/quora/tentribes/arousal.html
Interesting topic. It has surely been noted that the rise of Protestantism occurred after the development of printing. The newly translated King James Bible was a best seller that presents the reader will a solid basis for a Philo-Semitic outlook. This pro-Bible view was highly influential in America from the time of Pilgrims. Recently, some status conscious groups such as Presbyterians have lost social clout and become pro-left and anti Israel . In Europe this pattern is more pronounced and is probably encouraged by cultural marxists who are fixated on weakening the influence of the Bible in secular law (eg euthanasia, abortion, homosexuality etc) regardless of the obvious fact that global traditions (including Islam) take more pro-Bible outlook.

3. Psalm 122. The Importance of Jerusalem for ALL Israelites
Psalm 122. A Song of Ascents, of David.
1 I was glad when they said to me,
'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'
2 Our feet are standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem,
3 Jerusalem, that is built
As a city that is compact together;
S.R. Hirsch points out that the very architectural design of Jerusalem was such that all focal points were concentrated on the Temple Mount and Holy Temple.                  Â
4 To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD,
An ordinance for Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5 For there thrones were set for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
May they prosper who love you.
7 May peace be within your walls,
And prosperity within your palaces.
8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends,
I will now say, May peace be within you.
This is returning to the theme that Jerusalem represents the good of all Israel. We all want that things go well for ourselves and also for our families and our companions and kin. When the Israelite Tribes would come together then the feeling of fraternity and mutual involvement would be heightened. People would feel concerned for the good of each other.
The good of Jerusalem is the good of all Israel.
By seeking the good of Jerusalem and the Jewish presence in the Land we in effect work for the good and ultimate reunification of all the Tribes. Â
When the Ten Tribes separated themselves from Judah their leader Jeroboam prevented them from going up to Jerusalem.
Jeroboam knew that going up to Jerusalem would in the end lead to re-unification and he did not want that.
[1-Kings 12:26] AND JEROBOAM SAID IN HIS HEART, NOW SHALL THE KINGDOM RETURN TO THEÂ HOUSE OF DAVID:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Â
[1-Kings 12:27] IF THIS PEOPLE GO UP TO DO SACRIFICE IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD AT  JERUSALEM, THEN SHALL THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE TURN AGAIN UNTO THEIR LORD, EVEN UNTO REHOBOAM KING OF JUDAH, AND THEY SHALL KILL ME, AND GO AGAIN TO REHOBOAM KING OF JUDAH.                    Â
Â
[1-Kings 12:28] WHEREUPON THE KING TOOK COUNSEL, AND MADE TWO CALVES OF GOLD, ANDÂ SAID UNTO THEM, IT IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU TO GO UP TO JERUSALEM: BEHOLD THY GODS, O ISRAEL, WHICH BROUGHT THEE UP OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT.
We see from the case of Jeroboam that DENIAL of Jerusalem leads to idolatry and disunity.
On the other hand seeking the good of Jerusalem will bring us back to God and will lead to the Tribes of Israel re-uniting.Â
9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,
I will seek your good.
This verse encompasses an important point.
We may not know what we should do.
We may not be sure how we should worship God or keep the commandments or other matters.
By searching for the good of Jerusalem however the way will be shown unto us.
Hold fast with the State of Israel and God will reward you and help you.
