Germany is shown to not be dominated nor strongly influenced by Israelites. Germans who migrated to the USA however were of Israelite Origin. They were different from those who stayed behind.

2. Dafydd in Australia: Remarks concerning General Monash, Ned Kelly, and Other matters.
Yair, Shalom,
I appreciated your essay on John Monash.
There is a move in Australia at the moment to posthumously promote Monash from General to Field Marshal. This push is led by Tim Fischer, the former leader of the National Party of Australia and former Deputy Prime Minister under John Howard. Monash certainly was deserving of that rank. You may find the recent (ANZAC Day) radio interview on Sydney radio station 2GB (Steve Price) talking to Josh Frydenburg of interest (link here http://www.2gb.com/audioplayer/8664 ). Josh Frydenburg is a Liberal Party member in the Federal House of Representatives and he speaks of Monash's great contributions to Australia, the State of Victoria in particular, following his military career.
Monash certainly was a revered leader in Australia. After his death in 1931, an estimated 250,000 people followed his funeral procession, many of whom were WW I veterans who were following their beloved General on his final journey. Given that Australia was still in the Great Depression at the time, and that many if the 250,000 would have struggled to find the train or tram fare to attend the funeral procession, this shows the high regard in which Monash was held by his soldiers.
As a young boy, Monash moved from Melbourne to the small country town of Jerilderie in New South Wales where his father opened a general store. It was here that Monash met the infamous outlaw Ned Kelly when the Kelly Gang rode into town. It was reported that all the townsfolk ran for cover when the notorious outlaw gang rode into town, but young John Monash, curious as to the cause of the commotion, stood outside the front of his father's store. Ned Kelly, seeing the young boy standing there, led his horse over and handed the reins to Monash and asked him to mind his horse.
I find some significance in that act. Here Ned Kelly, in handing over the reins of his horse, in some ways signified the end of the colonial days of Australia when handing over the reins to the man who was to typify the early modern era in Australia, from the federation of the colonies to form the nation of Australia, the horrors of WW I, and the trials of the Great Depression.Â
Jerilderie is linked to another historical oddity, it was the home town of the man who some believe was the rightful heir of the British crown. Michael Abney-Hastings, who moved to Australia as an 18 year old, was the senior descendant of the Plantagenet Kings of Britain. British actor and amateur historian and archeologist, Tony Robinson, produced a documentary in 2011 regarding this man which some of your readers might find of interest. It is not a Brit-Am related issue, it's just another historical oddity which is also connected to that small town of Jerilderie (link here    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DCasz6oeL4 ).
I would also like to thank Alexander Zephyr for his essay regarding Rabbi Akiva and the Bar Kokhba rebellion. I found this to be most illuminating and wish to thank Alexander for his efforts and for sharing his research (link here http://hebrewnations.com/articles/akiva.html ).
My very best wishes to you,

Brit-Am Reply from Yair:
Thank you for your letter.
I myself grew up in Benalla which
"had many associations with the Kelly gang and the courthouse was the venue for a number of their trials."
I also lived for a while in Swanpool near Mansfield. This is also Kelly country. I still have members of my family (most of whom I have never met) living in the region.

3. Question Concerning the Sequence of Events in the End Times
Alister Lowe wrote:
Yair:
Â
Do the Ten Tribes return prior to World War Three (Ezekiel 38, 39)?
Â
I see the Biblical progression:  Regathering of Israel, Two Sticks and then the War.  To me, I have always seen the Regathering, then the War.  Then the return of Ten Tribes.
Â
Is this war the vehicle for the expansion of Israel to its former (Biblical) territory (Nile to Euphrates)?  If so, it would disturb the Biblical sequence.
Â
I hold the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and consequently do not want to stray from its order.
Â
I would appreciate your thoughts on this.
Â
Keep up the good work.
Â
Kindest regards.

Alistair Shalom,

The Order of Return in Ezekiel
In principle the Bible should be interpreted as literally as possible. This includes assuming that events will take place in the consecutive order they are described.
It would therefore seem, as you suggest, that first the Israelites will return and divide the Land amongst them and after that will come the Wars of Gog and Magog.
We cannot however be absolutely sure. Maimonides warned us that we will not know how the events will happen until they do.
Personally, it would seem that different stages of Redemption will take place:
a. There will be an initial ingathering of the Jews as is happening now.
b. Tribulations of Jacob will take place. The Ten Tribes and especially Joseph will be in trouble.
c. Judah may also suffer from the Arabs. We cannot be sure.
d. Joseph after suffering horrible disasters will recover and defeat his enemies.
e. Joseph and Judah will federate. A good portion of Joseph will return and settle in areas around Israel. The rest of Judah will accompany Joseph in returning. The return of Joseph will be led by elements from Gilead in Manasseh probably meaning from the west and south of the USA. Gad (Sweden) may also be amongst the first of those who return.
f. The Temple shall be rebuilt, the Arabs transferred elsewhere, a good portion of the other Tribes will return, a religious revival shall take place, the Land shall be divided amongst the Tribes.
g. The remaining peoples of Europe and especially of Asia will come with all their hosts will attack the returned Israelite nations. This will be the wars of Gog and Magog. The Commentators say there will be three of these.
Climatic and physical disturbance in the Earth are also predicted.
In the light of recent events it is now quite easy to envisage events causing the uprooting and displacement of entire nations and struggles over living space etc.
