1. Query about Inscription of Sennacherib and Other Sources.
Craig White said:
A friend of mine asks:
"200,150 people [of Judah], great and small, male and female, horses, mules, asses, camels, cattle and sheep without number, I brought away from them and counted as spoil" - Sennacherib's Hexagonal Prism.
Is there any source - jewish or secular - that purports to support Sennacherib's claim? Did they also become 'lost', along with Assyria and Israel?
====
Brit-Am Reply:
The Bible says:
# Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them. #
2 Kings 18:13
In our work Hebrew Ancestry (i.e. "Lost Israelite Identity") and in The Tribes we quote different sources including a Midrash ("Seder Olam") quoted by Abarbanel at the end of his commentary to the Book of Kings that "all the fenced cities of Judah" meant in effect the entire Tribe of Simeon.
It will be remembered that Simeon was to the south of Judah yet is always assumed to have shared the fate of the Ten Tribes who were in the north. Simeon is in effect in the quorum of ten.
Taking away an entire Tribe could fit a population of ca.200,150 that Sennacherib claimed to have taken from Judah.
It should also be recalled that the Austrian Chronicle claims that Jews exiled by Sennacherib settled along the Danube River in the region of Austria and ruled there for a few centuries.

The Sacred Name of God cannot be pronounced. No-one knows how to pronounce it nor can they know. This was prophesied and commanded in the Hebrew Bible according to the Hebrew text. Claims to know how the Sacred Name was pronounced are either hoaxes or misunderstandings. See:

3. Brian Patmore: Concerning John Monash and Ned Kelly in Australia
Re: Brit-Am Now no. 2055: Ten Tribes Studies
Shalom Brother Yair,
I was most touched by your references to John Monash and Edward "Ned" Kelly.
Indeed John Monash was an exemplary man in all facets of his being and is an inspiration to all Australians to this very day.
Ned Kelly is of much interest to my family as his mother's brother settled in Tasmania and fathered a large family there.
Several of this family have married into my family, including the wife of my fathers elder brother.
Many people in Victoria know the truth re Ned but I will not go into that here.
Most interesting,
Shalom,
Brian

4. Meredith Carpenter: Question on Using the Holy Name
THis is new to me... not sure I understand. We should say The Almighty and not the Lord or anything else? Meredith
====
Brit-Am Reply:
You may call Him by any acceptable title (God, the Almighty, LORD, etc) but you should not use any of the proposed translated from the Hebrew of the four-letter name e.g. using the term "Jehovah" like the Jehovah Witnesses do should not be done even though this is not how the name was really pronounced.

Gordon appears to have used the consonants and vowels provided in printed versions of the Bible. The correct pronunciation of the consonants is controversial and the vowels do not belong to the name but to the substituted term in Torah Reading. See: our article Holy Name?

7. Fredrick Murphy: The Uncertainty Factor Erodes Potential Support for Hebrew Nations

 I'm sorry that you aren't being supported more. I hope it's not a black-balled situation, but merely the case of "we don't know what to do or support, Yair's a lone wolf not supported by many in the Land so we appreciate Brit-Am work but need to concentrate on the reality of waiting on something more concrete."
...I think you are concrete, i didn't mean that in any negative way. Please keep in mind your frustration is also felt by the many "Ephraimite" or "Two House" groups because they feel unsupported by Judah largely....both by Traditional/Modern Judaism aspects and by Messianic Judaism folks. It's a tough spot for all to be in. There's a tug-of-war within people on who to support, when nobody can guarantee that they are accepted as an individual as "Lost Joseph"...but only strong speculation is present. It's hard to support that, because a person or group can feel like it isn't enough to go on....or it won't produce fruit....or often i hear people are not wanting to put both feet in because they "may not be Joseph, so why fool themselves, even though they feel a tug towards the possibility." Anyhow, your frustration exists, and it's something that is shared but from the otherside of the coin by "Ephraimites." Believe me. I known many of these groups first hand over the past 16 years roughly. Hang in their Yair, may HaShem help all of this process....speedily!
