1. Erik: Blond Haired American of Scottish Descent often Mistaken for a Jew!
Subject: Hair/beard
I have blonde hair on top, fire red beard and green eyes. Iranians who live in the States, as well as Israelis often ask me if I am "Jewish", saying I look "Jewish". Most Americans think of Jews as more of the Sephardic look, or "hooked nose" Ashkenazi...not a "Celt". Yet those from the Middle East see something that makes them think I'm Jewish.Â

2. Hoshea Allen:Â How Many Jewish Rabbis Agree with Hebrew Nations?
Yair
Hope u had a meaningful Shavuos.
Question ... besides the Felds, can you refer me to any other current Jewish authorities (preferably rabbinic) who accept or endorse your conclusions on the identity of the ten tribes in the world today?

Brit-Am Reply:
Shalom,
As far as I know no Rabbis at present will come out and declare themselves openly as convinced adherents of our teachings.
BUT
Quite a few Rabbis and learned Jews express an interest, allow and even encourage our writings, and when queried are positively open towards the possibilities we present.
THEY WANT TO KNOW,
a. How solid the evidence really is.
b. How the people in question (i.e. the Ten Tribes in the West) deal with the matter. This includes what support they give us.
c. What the practical conclusions are liable to be. This point is very important and we are ourselves concerning the short run do not have complete answers.

3. Amnon Goldberg: Question on Newer Claims of New Guinea Natives and Others to be Israelites.
Rabbi Avigdor Miller of Brooklyn once stated: "There never was such a thing as 'Black Jews'. Whoever says there was doesn't know what he is talking about!"
One of the criticisms leveled against Britam is that it is "White Jewish supremacist". Jews in general and Israelis in particular have a phobia of being called 'racist' and will bend over backwards to be 'inclusivist', even to the point of demeaning themselves.
What is the opinion of Britam of the numerous Black tribes around the world all claiming Ancient Israelite origin and demanding Aliya rights, money and appartments eg now the Gogodola Tribe of Papua-New Guinea
and how to handle the phenomenon

Brit-Am Reply:
Shalom,
There is a known sociological phenomenon whereby new converts to Christianity automatically identify their ancestors as the Ancient Hebrews.
We also, in Papua/New Guinea, in the past had the Cargo cults in which they believed that through certain beliefs and religious practices aeroplanes would bring them goodies (i.e."Cargo") from the sky just as they saw the white man receiving. The new-found belief in Jewish origins may emanate from a similar psychological orientation.
Concerning Africa,
In the distant past there were Samaritans, offshoots from the Karaites, and also groups that had been partially Judaized at some stage or other. For example amongst the Berbers of North Africa there was once a movement to become Jewish. Berber partially-Judaized tribesman conquered Timbucto. This is a a town in the West African nation of Mali north of the River Niger on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert. Consequently amongst the now black Muslims of the region a few families still have hazy traditions of once having been Jewish.Â
Jews and quasi-Hebrew groups evidently left their impression throughout Africa. In Ethiopia some kind of belief in Judaism had existed from an early age. These beliefs and traditions are genuine as far as they go. This does not mean that the people in question are Jewish. [The Ethiopian Jews are a separate matter. This is not our concern. Personally I am in favor of them though my OK or lack of it is not necessarily of great importance to them.]
The article you quote from mentions the organization KULANU which is run by Reform Jews and others. They have an agenda to encourage non-Jews (they seem to prefer primitive peoples) to declare themselves as Jewish. Most (possibly all?) members of Kulanu however do not seem to be practising Jews. They see Judaism as a kind of culture. Rabbi Avichail is allied with Kulanu and receives support from them but he is Orthodox.
There is no clear-cut solution.
The Jewish Orthodox need to become more religious and remain strict in their requirements.
Concerning the Lost Ten Tribes, in our opinion, the NEED FOR PROOF OF PHYSICAL DESCENT needs to be emphasized.
Obviously absolute proof is something we cannot achieve at the individual level but we can get closer to it. This is what needs to be done.

5. Quoting Lenin and the Problem of Hebrew Nations
Lenin once said, "People vote with their feet". He meant that if the residents of Communist nations did not like the communist system they would leave. Many indeed left. Those who could got out. Many more would have done the same if they could have done.
The pros and cons of what Lenin said are now somewhat theoretical since communism as an option has lost its once formidable luster.
Anyway, Perhaps Brit-Am could have achieved more than it did and have had more of an effect.
We did what we could with what we had according to our understanding.
Something has been gained and more is in preparation or existent in potential.
We need more support, more financial input.
Our ability to function and to progress is dependent on what funds we have.
People also vote with their money.
