A Message from Kitty Corbett
Yair, is it not manifestly likely that the Christians of today are descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel? Your research has shown how they settled in Western Europe and the British Isles, all former lands of the Roman Empire which enforced Christianity throughout the empire per edict of their emperor. Constantine established Sunday as the day of worship specifically to cause the cessation of Sabbath worship among all the peoples he controlled, to distinguish his compliant subject from those who would try to keep the Sabbath. Who else would be trying to keep Sabbath but the Lost Tribes? With Christianity being the state-enforced religion, it was an easy matter to adopt all manner of pagan beliefs and customs throughout the Roman Empire such as Christians today hold. The Bible shows us that the Ten Tribes of the Northern kingdom were forced to practice paganism at the outset, with golden calves set up to worship, specifically forbidding return to Temple worship in Jerusalem. They then adopted every pagan custom they found in all their wanderings It is puzzling but true that Christians still say they worship the God of Israel when they pray to God but do so, in Jesus name. Even in opening prayers of our Congress and other public meetings.
I was brought up in the Christian lie (the Southern Baptist sector) and believed it fiercely for some 70 years. I did wonder why we kept Sunday as though it were the Sabbath. I visited the Seventh Day Adventist church for a while, found they kept kosher; but the Baptists continued to keep Sunday.
I asked a Baptist preacher why did the Baptists, who consider themselves so much closer to Biblical truth than say, the Catholics, why was it the Baptists still kept Sunday and not the Sabbath? He said, before rushing away, that it was 'because ... Jesus Christ rose on Sunday.' Well, even if one believes the Jesus crucifixion and resurrection story, that wasn't right. The women who supposedly came to anoint Jesus body found his tomb empty on Sunday.
I kept studying. Went through the Messianic phase. Ate biblically kosher and kept the Sabbath. With study I found that there was no way to reconcile the stark differences between the New Testament story and the original Covenant of the Old Testament. As my dear friend Rosa Reo observed, 'they can't both be true.' Rosa was one of the small group of us who were questioning the Christian story we had all been subjected to as children. We all came out of it together, renounced Christianity, formalized by ritual bath. We kept the Sabbath, no longer ate pork or shellfish or anything else biblically forbidden. Rosa actually is of Jewish heritage, her Italian family name indicated they were 'conversos' like everybody else under Roman rule. The rest of us believe that our European forebears are as your studies have indicated. In my particular case, my maternal line goes to England through Hancock and Johnson. My paternal line goes to Wales, Ireland and Scotland through Dilday, Askew and Tinkham. My dna estimates 'England, Wales and Northwestern Europe, 74%; Ireland & Scotland 19%, and Norway 7%.'
The upshot is, I believe that I am one of the 'lost' tribes, likely either Ephraim or Manasseh. I keep the Covenant, I gather with my like-minded friends to observe the biblical holy days as we have self-taught ourselves to do, and we ignore the Christian holidays. Are we not just as entitled to the Covenant and to the Promised Land as our Jewish, Levitical and Benjamite brothers? Even if unsure of membership in one or another of the lost tribes, why should we need to abandon our rightful, ancient heritage in order to seek a place among Judah?
There are many prophecies predicting the return of the lost tribes to the Covenant and to the Land. One of my favorites is actually found in the New Testament, attributed to Jesus, that righteous Jew whose death was used by Paul to invent Christianity. While Jesus lived and preached he spoke the parable of the prodigal son returning to the Father. It's all there, the awakening of the prodigal when in a (spiritual) pig sty, the repentance, the return to the Father to beg forgiveness, the jealousy of the elder brother (Judah) when the father (the Almighty) celebrates the return of the prodigal. And most importantly, the Father reconciling the two. In my day, I pray.
Today's Israel is but a small portion of the land promised to the Whole House of Israel. I do not find any scripture, as you have suggested, that Israel would include lands now occupied by the Lost Tribes; rather that Israel would be enlarged to accommodate the returning tribes. It makes sense to me that the expansion would be in accordance with the original promise, extending to the Euphrates. This, of course, would be after the promised wars in which God will fight for Israel, with Ephraim in His right hand. Seeing the mess that England has become, I believe that the USA is prophetic Ephraim, especially as we fulfill Jacob's prophecy of greatness, we arm and support Israel, and we are allies with Israel. Jer. 31:9 For I am ever a father to Israel, Ephraim is My first born. And see Zech 9:13 For I have drawn Judah taut, and applied my hand to Ephraim as to a bow.
There is one other fascinating prophecy that I wonder when will it come to pass? Zech. 13:9 'they will invoke Me by name'.' Even the JPS English translation of TANACH uses euphemisms in place of the name of God. Nobody can tell me why. Do you have any explanation for this today? It's no longer a capital offense.
Yair, I do appreciate all you do. I have every one of your books; I have further supported your ministry and will continue to do so, and encourage others to do so as well. I am 82 years old and living on Social Security so I am somewhat limited. God bless you.
Shalom

Kitty Shalom,
You letter made the following assertion:
Since you probably come from Israelite stock, keep the Law as well as you know how, eat clean foods, keep the Sabbath, and reject the idolatry of mainstream Christianity, then you should be considered as an Israelite and entitled to dwell in the Promised Land just like Jews of Judah do.
"Are we not just as entitled to the Covenant and to the Promised Land as our Jewish, Levitical and Benjamite brothers? Even if unsure of membership in one or another of the lost tribes, why should we need to abandon our rightful, ancient heritage in order to seek a place among Judah?"
You still believe in Jesus at the least as a Divinely Inspired Messiah.
This may be your belief but it is not compatible with Judaism as determined by the Bible.
At present Judah is in the Land preparing the way for the other Tribes. Judah determines who, in his own neck of the woods, is a member of the Covenant and who is not.
Concerning your right to live in the Promised Land you could always join a group to conquer Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. They are also within the borders of the Land of Israel according to the Bible.
On the other hand,
The present Secular Establishment of Israel encourages non-Jewish Ukrainians, Russians, and others who may have had a Jewish grandparent to come to Israel.
There are 100s of thousands of them if not more. It also accepted thousands of Ethiopians (apart from Ethiopian Jews) who were not Jewish even by Jewish Ethiopian standards. Apparently they want to counter-effect the natural growth of the Jewish Ultra-Orthodox in the country. It could be claimed that if they can come why cannot "Ephraimites" do the same?
The Jews in Israel are engaged in a Cultural War.
The Secular Jews represent a combined de facto league of homosexuals, sexual libertarians, hedonists, feminists, Reform Jews, non-Jews, Jewish Christians, and so on.
They are very influential in the Media, in government circles, among the rich and powerful, the judiciary, and the like.
They are opposed to Religious Jews who themselves are divided between the National Religious and the Ultra-Orthodox.
This is all part of the Domination of Edom and the Mixed Multitude. The Lost Ten Tribes also suffer from the same problem. Future articles may discuss this.
Which side are the "Ephraimites" going to align with?
Brit-Am says the Lost Ten Tribes are among Western Nations on the whole but we cannot guarantee Israelite Descent in individual cases.
Brit-Am has a duty to spread this message so that the peoples concerned know who they are at a national level.
We are saying, that if you are of British descent (for example, but it also applies to all other Israelite countries) then you belong to Joseph and should, along with your nation as a whole, act as Joseph. You should believe in the Bible, be patriotic, be pro-Jewish, support the State of Israel, and take an interest in Brit-Am matters.
Perhaps you should convert to Judaism BUT our understanding is that in most cases the time is not right for this.
There are those who disagree with us on this matter and urge us to change our teaching.
Another article may soon be available about this.
You also said you should be allowed to use the Holy Name since your understanding of Scripture indicates that it should be used.
Concerning the use of the Holy name and WHY it should not be used we have several articles on this.
