ollowing the announcement of the closure of the Israeli embassy in Dublin, Iain Dale is joined by lawyer Alan Shatter to discuss the Chief Rabbi, Yoni Wieder, claim that Irish leaders have contributed to hatred against Jews. This comes as foreign minister Gideon Saar accuses the country of "crossing every red line", blaming "the extreme anti-Israel policies of the Irish government". His statement said Israel's ambassador to Dublin has been recalled in the past following what it called Ireland's "unilateral decision to recognise a Palestinian state". It added that the decision followed Ireland's announcement of its support for South Africa's legal action against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing the country of "genocide". Ireland's Chief Rabbi Yoni Wieder told The Telegraph that "many of the 3,000 Jews in Ireland no longer feel safe enough to wear symbols of their identity". Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins has dismissed Israeli's accusations of ingrained antisemitism in Ireland as �deep slander�.

this is this is actually quite a a difficult moment I think in relations between the Republic of Ireland and

prime minister. Now the Israelis very very unhappy with this as you can imagine and then a couple of weeks ago Israel decided to close its Embassy
in Dublin and withdraw its Ambassador. So some pretty bad feelings between both of the states well this has had
consequences because according to the Chief Rabbi. ... Jewish children in Irish schools are hiding their Heritage from their fellow pupils because anti-israel sentiment is so strong across the
country. Now Yoni Wieder who is the Chief Rabbi said that many of the roughly 3,000 Jews in Ireland no longer felt
safe enough to wear signs of their identity such as skull caps or the Star of David on the streets. He said there have been a significant rise in
anti-Semitism since the October the 7th Terror attacks and Israel's war in Gaza. Now Ireland's support for the Palestinians and fierce criticism of
Israel has seen it clash with netanyahu's government which closed its Embassy in Dublin this week

Defense Minister Yisrael Katz warned that Tehran could choose to attack Israel soon, stressing that the risk is particularly significant during the Yom Tov season.
Speaking at a conference on Wednesday, Katz outlined the current intelligence assessment, explaining that Iran�s economic isolation and growing friction with the regime in Tehran could lead it to choose the path of an open military confrontation with Israel.
�As the pressure on them increases, as the friction there grows, and as the stranglehold on Iran intensifies�a tremendous economic stranglehold�there is a possibility that they will indeed attack,� Katz said. �Why? Because if they have to choose between the stranglehold and war, they may prefer the latter. We are prepared for that defensively.�
�They like to attack on Jewish holidays, because they are Jew-haters. Look at many of the things that have happened in the past.�
At the same time, Katz sought to reassure the public, saying that the defense establishment had prepared in advance for all scenarios.
�We are prepared defensively and offensively, in coordination with the United States.�
He stressed that Israel would not tolerate any attempt to attack its territory, regardless of the pretext or the arena through which the enemy chooses to act.
�If they attack because of Lebanon, because of Shomron, because of Gaza, or simply because they feel like it�our planes are ready to take off.�
