It is also confirmed by Jewish Rabbinical Sources. One of these was the Maharal (1525-1609),

3. Feast of Succot Around the Corner.
This evening 25 September 2026 begins the feast of Succot.
We will probably not be sending out our Postings or corresponding unless there is an mergency
We will however be receiving orders and donations as usual.
The feast for us finishes new week on October, 5.
May the Almighty look after all of you.
