We quoted from the Book of Esdras-4. This book is part of the Apocrypha i.e. a non-Biblical work (usually in Greek, sometimes in Latin) copying Biblical style and falsely attributing itself Biblical authorship.
The Book of Esdras may or may not have been originally Jewish. It was adopted by the Christians and appears in Christian versions of the Bible.
These were based on the Septuagint i.e. Greek translation of the Bible. Though originally this was a Jewish work mainstream Judaism eventually rejected it having recourse to only the original Hebrew version.
There are some differences between the Septuagint and the Hebrew.
The Septuagint was adopted by the Catholic Church. Authors of the New Testament seem to quote both the Septuagint and the Hebrews texts.
With the Protestant Reformation and new translations in the vernacular the Septuagint came to be rejected except by Catholics.
This brings us to Ezdras-4, also known as "First Book of Esdras."
The Encyclopedia Britannica tells us:
Esdras is an:
# "apocryphal work that was included in the canon of the Septuagint (the Greek version of the Hebrew Bible) but is not part of any modern biblical canon;
it is called Greek Ezra by modern scholars to distinguish it from the Old Testament Book of Ezra written in Hebrew.
... Esdras has survived only in Greek and in a Latin translation made from the Greek. #
Esdras is based on the Hebrew Book of Ezra but with a lot of additions and changes.

The LTTs are mentioned in Esdras.
40 THOSE ARE THE TEN TRIBES, WHICH WERE CARRIED AWAY PRISONERS OUT OF THEIR OWN LAND IN THE TIME OF OSEA THE KING, WHOM SALMANASAR THE KING OF ASSYRIA LED AWAY CAPTIVE, AND HE CARRIED THEM OVER THE WATERS, AND SO CAME THEY INTO ANOTHER LAND. 41 BUT THEY TOOK THIS COUNSEL AMONG THEMSELVES, THAT THEY WOULD LEAVE THE MULTITUDE OF THE HEATHEN, AND GO FORTH INTO A FURTHER COUNTRY, WHERE NEVER MANKIND DWELT...
THEY INTO ANOTHER LAND.
It says the LTTs came into Another Land. In the original te4xt "Another Land" is written as "Arsareth" considered to be a garbled version of "Eret Acheret" meaning "another land."
This is taken from the Hebrew Bible:
Deuteronomy 29:28 AND THE L-RD ROOTED THEM OUT OF THEIR LAND IN ANGER, AND IN WRATH, AND IN GREAT INDIGNATION, AND CAST THEM INTO ANOTHER LAND, AS IT IS THIS DAY.
The Talmud (Mishna, Sanhedrin 10) says that this Biblical Prophecy refers to the Lost Ten Tribes who were destined to remain in "Another Land ('Eretz Acheret') until close to the End Times.
An alternate translation of "'Eretz Acheret' could be "New World."
This was one of the terms applied to America soon after its discovery.
Manasseh ben Israel quotes from Esdras. He also understood from the sources that the Lost Ten Tribes would be in the American Continent.
We have shown that on this matter Manasseh ben Israel was correct. They were mistaken concerning the timing!
According to the Bible and related sources the Lost Ten Tribes will be in western Europe and North America and related areas in the End Times.
They were not however yet there in the time of Columbus and Manasseh!
Manasseh ben Israel (1650) also thought that the LTTs (Lost Ten Trbies) were in the Americas. He quoted prophecies concerning the return of the LTTs to the Land of Israel travelling over "Tarshish" i.e. the Atlantic Ocean.
Isaiah (JPS Tanakh 1917) 60:
9 SURELY THE ISLES SHALL WAIT FOR ME, AND THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH FIRST, TO BRING YOUR SONS FROM FAR, THEIR SILVER AND THEIR GOLD WITH THEM, FOR THE NAME OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND FOR THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, BECAUSE HE HAS GLORIFIED YOU.
The expression "Tarshish" can mean "Atlantic Ocean." This accords with passages in the Talmud (Hulin) and also with an Aramaic translation of the Bible ("Yam Okyanus"). Tarshish is the Phoenician name for Tartessus an important ancient city near Gibraltar facing the Atlantic Ocea. Ships of Tarshish would therefore refer to ships plying the Atlantic Ocean.
The word translated as "ISLES" in Hebrew is "EYIM" sometimes rendered as "COASTLANDS" but "ISLES" is more correct from a literal point of view, and that is how Menasseh understood it.
Manasseh was right ONLY his timing was mistaken. Even though Menasseh said the LTTs were in 8 places he placed the emphasis of his work on America. The LTTs will return from North America, and in the Latter Times. The LTTs are now in North America but they arrived there after Manasseh had made his predictions! Previously Menesseh had visited England and met Oliver Cromwell. Partly as a result of the visit of Mensseh the Jews had been allowed to re-enter England having been expelled from it in 1290. In England Menesseh had also met and been befriended by MP John Sadler who wrote "Rights of the Kingdom." In this work he shows how the Anglo-Saxon ancestors of the English were descended from the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel!
There are two sources (quoted by Menesseh) speaking of the LTTs returning in the End Times. The speak of travel like birds, i.e. by air flight.
Hosea chapter 11:
10 THEY SHALL WALK AFTER THE LORD.
HE WILL ROAR LIKE A LION.
WHEN HE ROARS,
THEN HIS SONS SHALL COME TREMBLING FROM THE WEST;]
11 THEY SHALL COME TREMBLING LIKE A BIRD FROM EGYPT,
LIKE A DOVE FROM THE LAND OF ASSYRIA.
AND I WILL LET THEM DWELL IN THEIR HOUSES,
SAYS THE LORD.
so says Isaiah in:
Isaiah 60:
8 WHO ARE THESE WHO FLY LIKE A CLOUD,
AND LIKE DOVES TO THEIR ROOSTS?
[9 SURELY THE ISLES SHALL WAIT FOR ME, AND THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH FIRST, TO BRING THY SONS FROM FAR, THEIR SILVER AND THEIR GOLD WITH THEM, FOR THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND FOR THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, BECAUSE HE HATH GLORIFIED THEE. ]
Elsewhere we have shown that "Ships of Tarshish" meant boats plying the Atlantic Ocean between America and Europe and therefore implying ships coming from North America or Britain. This is where the Israelite Exiles from the Lost Ten Tribes will return from!
The two Biblical Passages quoted above (Hosea 11: 10-11 and Isaiah 60:9-9) both speak of the Lost Ten Tribes returning from an area understood to mean America. Both refer to travel by air:
Hosea 11:
11 THEY SHALL COME TREMBLING LIKE A BIRD FROM EGYPT,
LIKE A DOVE FROM THE LAND OF ASSYRIA.
Isaiah 60:
8 WHO ARE THESE WHO FLY LIKE A CLOUD,
AND LIKE DOVES TO THEIR ROOSTS?
Only in our time has travel been made possible. The prophets are speaking about the LTTs coming back by ship and by plane.
