What Tribal Areas are involved in the New Proposals?
Question from Nelson S. Thall,
Hi Yair,
Which Tribes in ancient times sit on what is now The West Bank? And of the areas being "annexed," how much of it is land of Manasseh? Ephraim? Judah? Is there a biblical subtext to this annexation issue?Nelson
Brit-Am Reply:
The Proposed annexation as we understand it and as shown in the very rough Map below encompasses Israelite settlements scattered throughout the West Bank as well as a continguous strip of land west of the Jordan River. This is shown by the Orange Line. Everything between the Orange Line and the Jordan River is slated to become officially part of Israel. The practical implcations are that it should make it much easier for Israelis to build houses in the regions concerned, and establish businesses, etc. Biblically it confirms the Israelite right to this region. The Jewish People today are the only recognized representatives of the Israelite People. They are preparing the way for all of the Tribes. Being recognized as Israelites according to the Bible invovles a conscious acceptance of the Law but most of the Lost Ten Tribes are not prepared for this. Meanwhile they may however increase their Biblical Consciousness and work towards an enhanced recognition of their Hebrew ancestry. This is best done today through support for Brit-Am and BYT (Biblical Consciousness, Yehudah, Ten Tribes) awareness.
