Who are They? Operation Protective Edge. Thoughts by Yair Davidiy (30 July, 2014, 3 Av, 5774)
Below are a few impressions we received in the midst of Operation Protective Edge (July 2014).
Bewarned, we are often right BUT on occasion we have not been.
Things could change.
Nevertheless, these are the impression we have made so far.
Remember the Marmara incident?
At the end of May 2010 a flotilla of six ships left from Turkey towards the Gaza Strip. The main purpose of the flotilla, according to its organizers, was to bring humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip. On 31 May 2010 the Israeli navy raided the ships some 40 kilometres away from Gaza shores. During the takeover of one of the ships, the Marmara, the IDF soldiers had projectiles hurled at them and were attacked with iron bars. The activists on board were an international group of anarchists and others including several Irishmen. The Turkish contingent had been hand-picked and at least one of them was a known expert in the martial arts whose presence had been requested and probably paid for. [His fee could have gone towards a more fancy coffin than the one later given him!]
The Israeli commandos boarded the ship and apparently expected only token resistance. They may not have been prepared for the extreme violence that greeted them.
The first few IDF soldiers onto the ship appear to have been disabled and inured. There was an attempt to take some of them hostage so they drew their handguns. Nine of the activists were killed and a tenth died later of wounds. Several Israeli soldiers were injured. At the end of the operation the ships were seized by the Israeli navy and taken to the port of Ashdod.
Recently there were reports of Turkey enabling a new fleet of so-called peace activists to sail to Gaza. This was to be in response to the present (July 2014) Operation Protective Edge.
Such a flotilla had been planned in the past,

This second flotilla had been aborted in June 2011.
The flotilla was publicly opposed by the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, the Middle East Quartet (consisting of the European Union, Russia, the United Nations, and the United States), and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Now a third flotilla is planned,

Second Turkish Gaza flotilla will have military escort, group says

# The Turkish pro-Palestinian organization IHH announced that its second Gaza flotilla will be launched soon - and will be afforded protection by the Turkish Navy, Israel's NRG reported on Sunday.
The group's chairman told local Turkish media that the mission, titled 'Freedom Flotilla II,' was in the process of finalizing the legal paperwork needed to commence on the trip, and would embark as soon as it got the necessary permissions.
This fleet, as opposed to the group's previous one that was intercepted by the Israeli navy in 2010, would be protected by the Turkish Navy, he said.
Ankara, has so far not officially confirmed the report, according to Israel Radio. #Â
If such an operation should eventuate it would mean that the territorial waters of Israel would by impugned by the uninvited presence of foreign warships. This could lead to war between Turkey and Israel.
What nations would tend to intervene to prevent such a provocation on the part of Turkey from taking place?
The USA probably would BUT under Obama there is always a doubt.
Turkey is part of NATO and therefore Britain, Canada, and maybe France might try to dissuade Turkey.
It is conceivable that the UK would be prepared to use force.
France could conceivably perhaps be persuaded to go with the UK
Australia might also try to interfere on behalf of Israel.
Germany might also try but if push came to shove Germany is also liable to find some clause enabling her to support Turkey.Â
Russia could go either way.
All the above is theoretical BUT it fits the reality, public statements, and tested reactions under similar circumstances of the countries concerned.
The USA, UK, Canada, Australia, France, are all nations we identify with the Ten Tribes.
We consider France to be dominated by Reuben, the others by Joseph.
These nations are not necessarily friends of Israel.Â
They are however the nearest thing to it. Â This to our minds is indicative of an ancestral connection. Â Geneticists have discovered that friendships amongst individuals indicate the above average probability of a common ancestry!

This brings us to another question? If a significant proportion of the Irish and Norwegians are also of Israelite origin  why are they sometimes so pathologically anipathetic to the Jews and the State of  Israel?
Relative philo-semitism and sympathy for Israel is one (out of several) of the criteria for determining who is and who is not descended from Israel.

Ephraimite Criteria

How then do we explain the anti-Israeli sentiments of many from these nations?Â
We have not got a complete answer. It may be that some of them had none-Israelite ancestry. Cultural and religious faxctos may also play a role.Â
Why did most Reform and non-Religious Jews in the USA support Obama whereas an overwhelming majority of the Orthodox Jews were against him? It would appear that upbringing and religious beliefs also provide part of the answer.  The pro-Muslim pro-Palestinian tendencies of Obama were known but not really emphasized before he was first elected. Second Term however they should have been quite clear.  Jews traditionally have always supported the Democratic Party and  it may be that non-religious Jews in some ways are LESS able to change than religious ones are?
At the individual level there have been cases of people whose parents were Jewish but they did not know it.
In some instances these have adopted anti-Jewish viewpoints.
Recently a well-known leader and ideologue of the Hungarian anti-Jewish Jobbik party, Csanad (now "Dovid") Szegedi  discovered he was Jewish. At first he tried to keep to his previous views but then changed. At present he openly declares his Judaism, learns Torah, and is at least partly observant.

What took place, in the example above, in the case of one person could conceivably occur for a whole nation.
Historically, the question is which comes first? Is it because certain nations adopted Biblical values that they became more Israelite? Or did their Israelite Ancestry push them towards adopting Biblical Values?
Could a more widespread awareness of Israelite Ancestry result in a more favorable attitude towards the Jews of Israel?
ON THE OTHER HAND, if they are not Israelite would a mistaken belief in Israelite Ancestry cause increased resentment of the Jews?
It is well known that certain "Identity" groups who believe in the Lost Tribes of Israel being amongst Western nations are virulently anti-Jewish.
Is this because the people in question are really Canaanite-type outsiders and feel it? Are they the worms in the wood being drawn to the surface?
These are all questions for later consideration.
Now is the time for each one of us to face up to the truth of the Bible and the possibility of Hebrew descent.
The bottom line is that from Current Affairs we see that the very few countries that to some degree are relatively friendly or at least less antagonistic towards the State of Israel are also those whom we have shown to be of Israelite origin.Â
