1. Introduction
Saturday (Shabat) from sundown Friday (29 September, 2017) to sundown Saturday(30 September, 2017) is Yom Kippur, i.e. the Day of Atonement.
Religious Jews fast all day on this day. They neither eat nor drink for about 25 hours. They do not work.
Much of the day is spent in prayer.
Some sleep part of the day.
By rights ALL Israelites including the Ten Tribes are probably obligated to observe this day.
Since However none of the descendants of the Ten Tribes can absolutely prove their descent from Israel
they are not obligated to observe it, for the time being.

2. Brit-Am and the Situation NOW!
We spread knowledge of the Ten Tribes being among Western Peoples.
We do the best we can. The message gets out.
We hope next year (i.e. year 5778 from now on) to do better.
We hope to go deeper into our understanding of the Bible and to spread this knowledge.
We also hope to pray more and better tot he ONE God of Israel and see our prayers answered.
In hindsight we got through last year reasonably well despite a few minor bumps and impediments here and there.
Our sympathizers, subscribers, and supporters helped us. Without them we would not have been able to do anything.
The Almighty will surely reward each and every one of them.
We need them to keep helping us and if possible do more.
We need people to follow what we teach and help us spread the word.
Moral and financial assistance are what is needed.
The people we teach to are of Israelite descent.
We have succeeded in proving this to some degree and hope to do more.
Help us in this.
This task cannot be done without the acquiescence of Judah.
Brit-Am exists to serve both Judah and Israel.
This message is for the good of you, of your families, and of the peoples you belong to. It is for the good of the world. The Ten Tribes do not know who they are.
Even they who believe they know have not internalized the Biblical and Secular Proofs that exist.
This needs to be done. We are helping others to this. Help us as well!

Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) is a propitious time to liberate ourselves from the slavery of non-Israelite heathendom.
Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) is mentioned in the Bible,
Leviticus 23:
26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 27 Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. 28 You shall do no customary work on it;and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.
Repentance also means realizing that in a sense we all act as SLAVES TO OUR SURROUNDINGS and habits.
God wants us to be free and to do HIS will.
Let us take advantage of this time of liberty and free ourselves. Yom Kippur is a propitious time to liberate ourselves.

At the end of the upcoming holy day of Yom Kippur the shofar will also be sounded.
This is the month of Tishrei on the Hebrew calendar and according to one tradition during this month the ten tribes will
return.
"AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THAT DAY, THAT THE GREAT TRUMPET [Hebrew: Shofar]
SHALL BE BLOWN, AND THEY SHALL COME WHICH WERE READY TO PERISH
(Hebrew: "Ovdim" also translatable as they who were lost") IN THE LAND OF ASSYRIA
(i.e. Lost Ten Tribes), AND THE OUTCASTS (i.e. Jewish Captives) IN THE LAND OF EGYPT,
AND SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE HOLY MOUNT AT JERUSALEM" [Isaiah 27:13].
[Isaiah 58:1] CRY ALOUD, SPARE NOT, LIFT UP THY VOICE LIKE A TRUMPET,
AND SHEW MY PEOPLE THEIR TRANSGRESSION, AND THE HOUSE OF JACOB THEIR SINS.
This is directed both to Israel and Judah.

If we have sinned and deserve to be punished we may mitigate the punishment or even avoid it altogether and receive a blessing instead. This is what happens when we repent and our sins are atoned for. This is the essence of Yom Kippur.
