1. Persia as Elam and Iran.

Iran in the Bible is referred to as either Elam or Persia.
"Elam" is the name that Persia was first known by. Elam was one of the sons of Shem.
Shem, Ham, and Japhet were the three sons of Noah. All people of the world alive today are descended from them.

Genesis 10:
22 THE SONS OF SHEM WERE ELAM, ASSHUR, ARPHAXAD, LUD, AND ARAM.

1-Chronicles (NKJV) 1:
17 THE SONS OF SHEM WERE ELAM, ASSHUR, ARPHAXAD, LUD, ARAM, UZ, HUL, GETHER, AND MESHECH.

Elam is Persia, Asshur is Assyria, Lud is Lydia in western Turkey. The Lydians helped give rise to the Etruscans in Italy. Aram is another name for Syria. Arphaxad was an ancestor of Abraham who gave rise to the Hebrew people.
Arphaxad begat Selah who begat Eber who begat Peleg who begat Reu who begat Serug who begat Nahor who begat Terah who begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
The name Abram was changed to Abraham.
Abraham begat Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael was the forefather of the Arabs.
Isaac begat Jacob and Esau.
Esau was also known as Edom. He gave rise to part of the peoples of Europe including the Emperors of Rome and many Kings and Nobles of other nations including Germany.
Jacob, the brother of Esau, was renamed Israel (Genesis 32:28, 35:10). He begat 12 sons. These were the 12 Tribes of Israel.
They divided into two sections:
1. The Jews of Judah.
2. The Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. The Lost Ten Tribes became part of the Western Peoples including those of Britain and America.

In the time of Abraham Elam is mentioned as part of a group of 4 kings.
In Genesis 14 Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Nations ("Goyim"), made war against the King of Sedom and other local kings in the area east of the Jordan.
The four kings took captive Lot the nephew of Abraham and then began to return the way they had came. Abraham at that time was still known as Abram. Abram was informed as to what had happened to Lot.
He armed his trained servants numbering 318 men and with his allies Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre chased after the four kings.

Genesis (NKJV) 14.
14 NOW WHEN ABRAM HEARD THAT HIS BROTHER WAS TAKEN CAPTIVE, HE ARMED HIS THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN TRAINED SERVANTS WHO WERE BORN IN HIS OWN HOUSE, AND WENT IN PURSUIT AS FAR AS DAN. 15 HE DIVIDED HIS FORCES AGAINST THEM BY NIGHT, AND HE AND HIS SERVANTS ATTACKED THEM AND PURSUED THEM AS FAR AS HOBAH, WHICH IS NORTH OF DAMASCUS. 16 SO HE BROUGHT BACK ALL THE GOODS, AND ALSO BROUGHT BACK HIS BROTHER LOT AND HIS GOODS, AS WELL AS THE WOMEN AND THE PEOPLE. ...

18 THEN MELCHIZEDEK KING OF SALEM BROUGHT OUT BREAD AND WINE; HE WAS THE PRIEST OF GOD MOST HIGH. 19 AND HE BLESSED HIM AND SAID:
BLESSED BE ABRAM OF GOD MOST HIGH,
POSSESSOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH;
20 AND BLESSED BE GOD MOST HIGH,
WHO HAS DELIVERED YOUR ENEMIES INTO YOUR HAND.
AND HE GAVE HIM A TITHE OF ALL.

This action of Abraham has been seen as foreshadowing the future conquest of the Land of Israel by the Israelite descendants of Abraham.

# The four kings had conquered all regions of Transjordan, Edom and the Negeb, then they victoriously crossed all Canaan from south to north, and Abraham overtook them near Dan (the traditional northern border of Israel), defeated them, and pursued them beyond Damascus: therefore Abraham inherited all fruits of their conquests, and everything from Elath to Dan (even including Damascus and South Syria, claimed by the Israelites as part of "Greater Canaan") legally belongs to Abraham and his descendants. # 70 Astour, 'Cosmic Symbolism,' 70.

Enter Persia.

The Persians first appeared it is assumed in the 800s BCE near Sumer (i.e. "Shinar") in Mesopotamia. They were federated with the Medes and had a center in Pasargadae to the east of Elam but which may have been an Elamite area. Shushan (i.e. "Susa") and Susiana the Persian centers were located in Elam. One of the official tongues of the Persian Empire was Elamite. Persia is traditionally equated with Elam.

Enter Iran.

Iran was formerly known as Persia. In 1935, Reza Shah Pahlavi asked that henceforth the term "Iran" be used. "Iran" was supposed to have been the name anciently used by the Persians whereas "Persia" originally defined a small portion of the country. The term Iran was claimed to be cognate with "Aryan" and the Ancient Persians to have been part of the Indo-Aryan peoples. It is also claimed that the German Nazis urged that the name Iran be adopted to emphasize the Persian kinship with the "Aryan" peoples. Reza Shah Pahlavi was pro-Nazi. He was deposed by the British in 1941. Rezah Shah had been an Azeri Muslim immigrant from Georgia in what was then Russia. He joined the Persian army and then in a coup took over the country.
He was replaced by his son, Shah Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, who ruled until 1979. At that time Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini came to power in a revolution creating the Islamic Republic. Ever since then Iran has became a terror-supporting state undermining the governments of other countries and working against the West especially the USA and against the State of Israel.

2. What do the Four Kings Represent?

We saw above that Elam was among the four kings that Abraham went to war against.
A Midrash understands the four kings to represent four great powers each of which will consecutively be a world- power from one age to another.

Midrash Rabbah (ca. 500 CE) Bereishit 42:2
R. Abin said: Just as he commenced with four kings, so will he conclude with four kings. : With Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar (Genesis 14:9); so he ends with four kingdoms: the kingdom of Babylon, the kingdom of Media, the kingdom of Yavan (Greece), and the Empire of Edom.

Another symbolic Interpretation says that the four Kings represent consecutive events that will take place in the End Times.

Nachamanides (Ramban 1194-1270) re Genesis 14:1 AND IT CAME TO PASS IN THE DAYS OF AMRAPHEL KING OF SHINAR :

# This event was experienced by Abraham to teach that four Kingdoms will arise to rule over the world but in the end HIS sons (i.e. Israel) will overcome and the four kingdoms will all fall into their hands and they will restore to themselves all the property and booty that the four kingdoms had taken.

This may refer to four divisions of the world that Israel will be confronted with in the End Times.

3. The Land of Israel to Extend to Western Europe.

After defeating the four kings and giving tithes to Melkchizedek, the King-Priest of Salem (Jerusalem) Abraham recieved a blessing.. Abraham (Genesis ch.15) in the Covenant between the Pieces of Sacrificed Animals Abraham was promised all the Land of Canaan.

Genesis 15:
TO YOUR DESCENDANTS I HAVE GIVEN THIS LAND, FROM THE RIVER OF EGYPT TO THE GREAT RIVER, THE RIVER EUPHRATES. 19 THE KENITES, THE KENEZZITES, THE KADMONITES, 20 THE HITTITES, THE PERIZZITES, THE REPHAIM, 21 THE AMORITES, THE CANAANITES, THE GIRGASHITES, AND THE JEBUSITES.

This promise of the lands of the Ten Canaanite nations ultimately belonging to Israel , according to a source (Hatam Sofer, based partly on Midrashim) we have recently come across, included the areas of Western Europe that are destined to become part of Israel in the End Times. Inheritance of the Land is not only a reward that Israel will receive but also a service the Hebrews will perform and be rewarded for.

So too, by becoming aware that you are descended from Israel through the Lost Ten Tribes, i.e. that you are Israelites you are fulfilling a sacred task, doing a good deed, You are doing what the Almighty wants. You will be rewarded for this!
Learning about the Ten Tribes and what the Bible says and what Brit-Am Research reveals is an act of Religion! It is serving the Almighty.

4. The Persians Appear.

The Israelites were descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was renamed Israel. The Children of Israel went down to Egypt were they were subjected by the Egyptians. Centuries later they came out of Egypt led by Moses. They received the Torah in the Wilderness then entered the Promised Land and conquered it.
The 12 Tribes separated into two sections. The northern section consisting of 10 Tribes were conquered by the Assyrians and taken into Exile to Assyria. One of the places the Israelites were exiled to was the Cities of the Medes (2-Kings 17:6). Another place was Elam (Isaiah 11:11) which the Assyrians had conquered. Elam included the city of Susa and Susiana. The Assyrians were defeated by the Babylonians, Medes, and Scythians. The Babylonians and Medes divided the Assyrian Empire between them. The Babylonians conquered Judah (who had not been exiled to Assyria with the Ten Tribes) and exiled all the inhabitants of Judah to Babylon.
The Medes ruled over the Persians who served in their forces. The Persians were a small group headed by the clan of Pasargadae to which their leader Cyrus belonged. One of the meanings of "Pasargadae" is "Sons of Gad," Gad was an Israelite Tribe. The Pasargadeae were part of a larger group known as Achaemenids. Persia was also to be known as the Achaemenid Empire. The Persians under Cyrus took control of the Median Empire replacing the Medians as Senior Partner. Media is in the list of descendants of Japhet. The Medes and Persians then conquered Babylon. Cyrus allowed the Jewish captives in Babylon to return to Judah.

The first capital of the Persians was Pasargadae to the east of Elam. It was followed by Persepolis adjacent to Pasargadae. These areas however were thinly populated. The Persians forces of Cyrus were semi-nomadic. The demographic center of Persia was in Elam. One of the official languages of the Persian Empire was Elamite and most Persians spoke that language. They assimilated with the Elamites. Elam was also known as "Sussiana." It included the city of Susa referred to as Shushan the Capital. It was from here that King Ahaseurus ruled over the Perian Empire in the time of Mordecai and Queen Esther.

Susiana was in a part of Elam known today as Khuzistan. Both Shush (i.e. Susa") and Shushtar in Khuzistan) are mentioned in the Talmud (Sanhedrin) as places the Ten Tribes passed by when they went into Exile.
In Ancient Times, Khuzistan was sometimes referred to as "Cush." Part of its people were quite dark. Others were fair. Glazed bricks in Persian ruins depicted different types of Elamites. Some are quite dark but European types are also present. Their DNA is overwhelmingly R1b or R1a which are usually associated with Europeans.
The Elamite Language is agglutinative similar to that of Ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia. It was the major language of the early Persian Empire (Altheim, "GDH"). Persia was conquered by the Greeks under Alexander the Great and after that the importance of the Elamite language disappeared. It was replaced by an Indo-European tongue known as Persian or Iranian. This may have been facilitated by the Magi. The Magi were a Tribe of Medes who introduced their religion into the Persian Empire and became the priests of it. Meanwhile Zarathustra (Zoroaster) in the east of Iran advocated religious reforms and quoted from the Biblical Book of Isaiah. The creed of Zoroaster was originally monotheistic and Biblical but the Magi took it over and paganized it. The Magi were Medes and the Medes were descended from Jjaphet. They were often mentioned in partnership with the Persians . Political and religious changes within what was once the Persian Empire led to an Iranian tongue (also known as Persian) becoming predominant.
Nevertheless we may safely identify Persia with Elam.

# The later Neo-Elamite period is characterized by a significant migration of Indo-European speaking Iranians to the Iranian plateau. Assyrian sources beginning around 800 BC distinguish the "powerful Medes", i.e. the actual Medes, Persians, Parthians, Sagartians, etc. Among these pressuring tribes were the Parsu, first recorded in 844 BC as living on the southeastern shore of Lake Urmiah, but who by the end of this period would cause the Elamites' original home, the Iranian Plateau, to be renamed Persia proper. These newly arrived Iranian peoples were also conquered by Assyria, and largely regarded as vassals of the Neo-Assyrian Empire until the late 7th century."

The Assyrians successfully subjugated and drove the Scythians and Cimmerians from their Iranian colonies, while the Persians, Medes and Parthians remained vassals of Assyria.

5. Elam in Prophecy.

11 IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THAT DAY
THAT THE LORD SHALL SET HIS HAND AGAIN THE SECOND TIME
TO RECOVER THE REMNANT OF HIS PEOPLE WHO ARE LEFT,
FROM ASSYRIA AND EGYPT,
FROM PATHROS AND CUSH,
FROM ELAM AND SHINAR,
FROM HAMATH AND THE ISLANDS OF THE SEA.
12 HE WILL SET UP A BANNER FOR THE NATIONS,
AND WILL ASSEMBLE THE OUTCASTS OF ISRAEL,
AND GATHER TOGETHER THE DISPERSED OF JUDAH
FROM THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH.
13 ALSO THE ENVY OF EPHRAIM SHALL DEPART,
AND THE ADVERSARIES OF JUDAH SHALL BE CUT OFF;
EPHRAIM SHALL NOT ENVY JUDAH,
AND JUDAH SHALL NOT HARASS EPHRAIM.

AND THE PLUNDERER PLUNDERS.
GO UP, O ELAM!
BESIEGE, O MEDIA!
ALL ITS SIGHING I HAVE MADE TO CEASE.....

BEHOLD, I WILL BREAK THE BOW OF ELAM,
THE FOREMOST OF THEIR MIGHT.
36 AGAINST ELAM I WILL BRING THE FOUR WINDS
FROM THE FOUR QUARTERS OF HEAVEN,
AND SCATTER THEM TOWARD ALL THOSE WINDS;
THERE SHALL BE NO NATIONS WHERE THE OUTCASTS OF ELAM WILL NOT GO.

FALL AND RISE NO MORE, BECAUSE OF THE SWORD WHICH I WILL SEND AMONG YOU. 28 AND IT SHALL BE, IF THEY REFUSE TO TAKE THE CUP FROM YOUR HAND TO DRINK, THEN YOU SHALL SAY TO THEM, THUS SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS: YOU SHALL CERTAINLY DRINK! 29 FOR BEHOLD, I BEGIN TO BRING CALAMITY ON THE CITY WHICH IS CALLED BY MY NAME, AND SHOULD YOU BE UTTERLY UNPUNISHED?
