Shmuel (Samuel)
Shmuel (Samuel) was a descendant of Kohat from the Tribe of Levi.
The name Shmuel means "God Hears" or "He who listens to God."
He became the Leader of Israel in ca. 990 BCE according to Rabbinical Chronology.
Secular sources place it around 1043 BCE.
Shmuel was very rich (Midrash Yalkut Shimeoni, Shmuel 111)..
He was almost as powerful a prophet as Moses perhaps in some ways more so (Talmud, Nedarim 38a)..
Shmuel was a Nazrte (Talmud, Nazir 66).

Elisha
The name Elisha means "God Saves" or "He who is heard by God."
Elisha was a disciple of Eliyahu (Elijah).
Elisha served Israel for 60 years (Midrash Rabah 14:18)..
Elisha replaced Elijah as Chief Prophet of Israel in ca. 718 according to Rabbinical Chronology.
Secular sources place it at ca. 851 BCE.
The Zohar says that Elisha had the power of Prophecy that was only exceeded by Moses (Hasidah).
After Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind, Elisha received a double portion of his power and he was accepted as the leader of the sons of the prophets. Elisha then went on to perform twice as many miracles as Elijah.
Elisha was the son of Shaphat, a wealthy land-owner of Abel-meholah
It is traditionally located near the Jordan River, south of Beit-She'an.
The prophet Elisha belonged to the tribe of Issachar.
