Biblical Verses Identifying the Jews as Judah
The Israelites
The Israelites descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who was renamed Israel.
They gave rise to the 12 Tribes of Israel. The 12 Tribes divided into 2 sections. The section centered more in the north were collectively known as "Israel" or as "Ephraim," or "Samaria." They comprised the Tribes of Reuben, Gad, Simeon, Asher, Dan, Naphtali, Issachar, Zebulon, Ephraim, Manasseh. - Ten Tribes altogether. Ephraim and Manasseh were brother Tribes, descended from Joseph. Altogether there were really 13 Tribes but by omitting Levi, or including Levi and counting Ephraim and Manasseh as the one tribe of Joseph, the quorum of 12 is meantained. At all events judah and the 10 Tribes became two separate entities.
Jeremiah quotes the Almighty as saying that the Ten Tribes had been given a bill of divorce by the Almighty:
Hosea (ESV) 3:THEY HAVE DEALT FAITHLESSLY WITH THE LORD; FOR THEY HAVE BORNE ALIEN CHILDREN. NOW THE NEW MOON SHALL DEVOUR THEM WITH THEIR FIELDS.
Hosea refers to them as having begotten "alien offspring" (Hosea 5:7) and as "not my people" and "I will not be their God" (Hosea 1:9). This however will change in the End Times and the Ten Tribes will once again be accepted (Hosea 1:10). The Ten Tribes lost awareness of their Israelite origins and moved to Western Europe and from there to North America, Austrlia, and New Zealand.
In the south centered on Jerusalem was "Judah" i.e. the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, and minorities from the other Tribes. They are referred to as "Judah." From them came the Jewish People. The task of the Jews was to keep the Laws of Judaism. They were to be scattered all over the earth, to take in converts, develop the Law, and be persecuted for their religion. Eventually they were to return to the Land of Israel and prepare the way for the other Tribes. The future Messiah son of David will come from Judah.
Members of the Jewish Religion are identified by the Bible as "Judah." This is ALL we need. Most Jews are of Israelite descent BUT even if they were not according to the Bible they are still defined as "Judah."

1) Judah will always have been recognized as Judah (Genesis 49:10).

3) The Jews will have kept the Four Fasts concerning the Destruction of the Temple (Zechariah 8:19). Relgious Jews fast 4 times a year over the destruction of the Temple. The Bible predicted that Judah would do this. In the End Times these fast-days will be turned into holidays, days of celebration when the Temple is rebuilt.

the fast of the fifth, - 9th of Av
and the fast of the seventh, - 3rd of Tishrei (Gedaliah)
and the fast of the tenth, - 10th Tebeth (Tevet).
Religious Jews all over the world still keep these four fastdays, and nobody else does!

4) The Jews will have been persecuted (Zechariah 1:15, Zechariah 8:13-15, Isaiah ch.53, Psalm 44:22).

5) The Jews of Judah will be incorrectly known as "Israel" (Isaiah 48:1).

6) In their Places of Exile Judah will have been defenceless (Hosea 1:7, Psalm 44:23).

7 BUT TO THE HOUSE OF JUDAH WILL I GRANT CLEMENCY, AND I WILL SAVE THEM BY THE LORD THEIR GOD, BUT I WILL NOT SAVE THEM WITH THE BOW, WITH THE SWORD, WITH WAR, WITH STEEDS, OR WITH RIDERS.

7) An Old Lion and a New One (Genesis 49: 8-12). An Old-New Nation (Atlneuland).
In Early Days the Jews of Judah were quite formidable warriors. During their Time of Exile the Jews had diffiuclty in defending themlseves. In the End Times (our own day?) the Jews will once again become a fighting nation.

8 JUDAH, [AS FOR] YOU, YOUR BROTHERS WILL ACKNOWLEDGE YOU. YOUR HAND WILL BE AT THE NAPE OF YOUR ENEMIES, [AND] YOUR FATHER'S SONS WILL PROSTRATE THEMSELVES TO YOU.

4 FOR GAZA SHALL BE DESERTED, AND ASHKELON SHALL BECOME WASTELAND. ASHDOD - AT NOON THEY SHALL DRIVE HER OUT, AND EKRON SHALL BE UPROOTED.
5 WOE TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE SEACOAST, THE NATION OF CHERETHITES! THE WORD OF THE LORD IS AGAINST YOU, CANAAN LAND OF THE PHILISTINES, AND I WILL DESTROY YOU SO THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE AN INHABITANT.
6 AND THE SEACOAST SHALL BE BREAKFAST NOOKS FOR SHEPHERDS AND SHEEPFOLDS.
7 AND IT SHALL BE A LOT FOR THE REMNANT OF THE HOUSE OF JUDAH, WHEREUPON THEY SHALL PASTURE. IN THE HOUSES OF ASHKELON THEY SHALL LIE DOWN IN THE EVENING, FOR THE LORD THEIR GOD SHALL VISIT UPON THEM AND RETURN THEIR CAPTIVITY.

11) Judah will dwell in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:14).

14 YEA, EVEN JUDAH WILL FIGHT AGAINST JERUSALEM [Hebrew: "be-Yerushalaym" i.e. in Jerusalem.] AND THE WEALTH OF ALL THE NATIONS ROUND ABOUT-GOLD AND SILVER AND APPAREL-WILL BE GATHERED IN VERY GREAT ABUNDANCE.

12) The Jews of Judah will Return before the Ten Tribes (Micah 4:8 cf. Hosea 6:10).

7 AND I WILL MAKE THE LIMPING ONE INTO A REMNANT, AND THE SCATTERED ONE INTO A MIGHTY NATION, AND THE LORD SHALL REIGN OVER THEM ON MOUNT ZION FROM NOW AND FOREVER.
8 AND YOU-TOWER OF THE FLOCK, THE TOWER OF THE DAUGHTER OF ZION-TO YOU IT SHALL COME; YEA, THE FORMER KINGDOM SHALL COME TO THE DAUGHTER OF JERUSALEM.

11 Judah, too, there is a harvest appointed to you, when I will return the backsliding of My people.

The Messiah son of David will preceded by the Messiah son of Joseph who will come from Ephraim.
Meanwhile,
the other Tribes, including Ephraim, would have lost awareness of their ancestry. They became the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. Eventually they moved to western Europe. Their descendants are to be found in the peoples of England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland. Also segments of them existed in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland. They gave rise to the countries of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.
All their countries relatively speaking were blessed ones in the material sense. Also their basic values emphasized individual dignity and human rights. Other nations also did the same but very often not with a whole heart, and mainly due to their influence and example. The English-speaking people were especially important and were dominated by the Tribes of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh.
