Do Descendants of Esau dominate Germany? (26 April, 2015, 7 Iyar, 5775)
Duration: DURATION 9.45 MINUTES
Edomites moved to the west together with the Ten Tribes and now dwell among them! The Edomites worshipped Esus which is another form for the name Esau. The Celtic pagan god was also worshipped in Germany. He became known as Odin. The name Odin a form of the name Edom. German Nationalists identified with Odin. So did Hitler. Odin mean Edom. They identified with Edom!
Esau became known as Esus
Esau was the twin brother of Jacob who was also known as Israel. Â
Esau was also known as Edom meaning 'Red'.
24 When her time to give birth was at hand, there were twins in her womb. 25 The first came out red, all his body like a hairy mantle; so they named him Esau...
... 30 Esau said to Jacob, 'Let me eat some of that red stuff, for I am famished!'Â Therefore he was called Edom [i.e. Red].
Descendants of Edom were to be found in different regions of the Middle East. From these areas there were movements to the north and to the west. Peoples who had first appeared in the Middle East ended up in Europe, including Germany. Before the Romans came, we find the name Esau reconstructed as Esus in Gaul. The Essuvians of Normandy were named after Esus. Esus was also recorded in southern Gaul and was worshipped at Paris and at Treves i.e. Trier a city in Germany on the banks of the Moselle on the border with Luxembourg and near France. A coin with the name Aesus has been found in England. Personal names like Esugenos, son of Esus, and Esunertus, he who has the strength of Esus, occur in England, France, and Switzerland1. Esus is also found on an inscription in Algeria where it may be traceable to Celtic merchants or mercenaries.
#A dedication to Esus has also been found at Chercel in modern-day Algeria (AE 1985, 934). In Pfalsbourg, Germany (CIL XIII 1164) he is invoked as Mercurio Esuner(to) (Mighty Esus, Mercury)#2.
Esus had a consort, "Ros Merta", whose worship spreads from eastern Gaul into West Germany. The name Ros [i.e. red i.e. Edom] Merta in Latin may connote Edom (Red) the Marvelous.E1 It is worth noting that Gallic culture extended from Gaul into western and southern Germany. It was predominant in that region before the coming of the Germanic Germans. These were the Suebi and company who first appeared in what is now Poland and east Germany and whose appearance should be dated at after 200 BCE. The Suebi (also known as Suevi) may also derive their name from Esau, which is pronounced as ;Esav; in Modern Hebrew. At present we are dealing with West Germany and the areas of France and Belgium when these regions were dominated by peoples of non-Germanic and Celtic culture. The sacrificial victims of Esus were hung from trees and scourged. The name Esus is often explained to mean "The Furious One"E2, a title later applied to Odin.
Esus became Woten (Odin)
The worship of Esus preceded that of Odin. Later the adherents of Odin, like those of Esus, hang their victims from trees. Odin in mythology had hanged himself on a tree to gain wisdom. He had sacrificed himself to himself. The name Odin derives from Edom. The name Edom was rendered as Odin. The very name Odin may derive from a word root connoting 'brown' or 'red' as in the English word 'dun'. This name is also found as Wotun amongst the Anglo-Saxons and Scandinavians. The German Odin was different  and not necessarily the same as the Odin of Scandinavia and England. Odin in Germany was known as the 'Wild Hunter'. Esau also had been a hunter (Genesis 25:27). Another name for Odin was K'os.E3 The national god of the Idumeans of Edom southeast of Judah was also known as Kas or Kos. This may be a dialectical version of Esau.E4
We thus find both Esau and Odin being named Kos; Odin being a hunter like Esau. Odin being derived from Esus, the name Odin meaning Edom, Esus coming from Esau.
ODIN as the German Soul
Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), often referred to as C. G. Jung, was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist who founded analytical psychology. His work has been influential not only in psychiatry but also in philosophy,  anthropology, archaeology, literature, and religious studies. He was a prolific writer, though many of his works were not published until after his death. From 1906-1913 Jung corroborated with Sigmund Freud after which they quarrelled. Jung claims to have never been pro-Nazi. Nevertheless his writings at the time of the Nazi rise to power seem to indicate some degree of sympathetic of understanding. Jung saw the figure of Wotan, as 'the truest expression and unsurpassed personification of a fundamental quality that is particularly characteristic of the Germans.'
In other words Jung identified the Germans with Edom!
The name Odin (Wodan, Wotan) is another form of the name Edom. Odin was the Wild Hunter with the Teutonic rage who appeared in the skies of Germany inspiring the Germans. Wodan in German thought was the god of the wind, and the god of the dead. In North Germany he was associated with the wild hunt and in south Germany with the enraged host of spiritual beings riding the skies. The peasants of North Germany when they heard a howling in the air would say, ''Wode hunts" (Wodejaget), that is, Wodan or Odin marches, as of old, at the head of his heroes accompanied by his wolves, who followed him and pounced upon the bodies of the fallen.
Odin is also Edom. In the years leading up to WW2 numerous Germans reported seeing Odin in their dreams. The Psychologist Jung wrote much on the subject.
Odin had come to represent the archetype of Germanic racial nationalism. Odin was awakening. Odin was considered some kind of archetype of the German Nation.
Carl Jung in an essay called "Wotan" (1936):
# "The Hitler movement literally brought the whole of Germany to its feet, from five-year-olds to veterans, and produced the spectacle of a nation migrating from one place to another. Wotan the wanderer was on the move."
Who is this Wotan? "He is the god of storm and frenzy, the unleasher of passions and the lust of battle; moreover he is a superlative magician and artist in illusion who is versed in all secrets of an occult nature."
"Wotan disappeared when his oaks fell and appeared again when the Christian God proved too weak to save Christendom from fratricidal slaughter."
"I venture the heretical suggestion that the unfathomable depths of Wotan's character explain more of National Socialism than" all economic, political and psychological factors put together.
"[T]he gods are without doubt personifications of psychic forces..."
And when one is possessed by such a god there is not much one can do about it and in the case of Wotan we're talking about "a fundamental attribute of the German psyche."
# Â Wotan is a restless wanderer who creates unrest and stirs up strife, now here, now there, and works magic. He was soon changed by Christianity into the devil, and only lived on in fading local traditions as a ghostly hunter who was seen with his retinue, flickering like a will o the wisp through the stormy night. In the Middle Ages the role of the restless wanderer was taken over by Ahasuerus, the Wandering Jew, which is not a Jewish but a Christian legend. The motif of the wanderer who has not accepted Christ was projected on the Jews, in the same way as we always rediscover our unconscious psychic contents in other people. At any rate the coincidence of anti-Semitism with the reawakening of Wotan is a psychological subtlety that may perhaps be worth mentioning. ...He is the god of the storm and frenzy, the unleasher of passions and the lust of battle; moreover he is superlative magician and artist in illusion who is versed in all secrets of an occult nature.Â
Note what Jung is saying. Odin (Wotan) represented something about German origins in ancient times. He had been half forgotten, changed by Christianity into the devil and become a ghostly hunter seen in visions of a stormy night. The Jews had replaced him and taken over his role. Now he is coming back. His return is accompanied by a rejection of Christianity. This goes together with the abnegation of the Jews who in some way had been guilty for whatever failings Christianity had led the Germans to fall into.
Hitler, Like Odin, Epitomized the German Soul
In 1937 Jung said of Hitler:
He is a medium, German policy is not made; it is revealed through Hitler. He is the mouthpiece of the Gods of old/ He is the Sybil, the Delphic oracle
(see Jung in Contexts, ed. by Paul Bishop, 1999).Â
Jung stated that:
'Hitler seemed like the 'double' of a real person, as if Hitler the man might be hiding inside, and deliberately so concealed in order not to disturb the mechanism.... You know you could never talk to this man; because there is nobody there.... It is not an individual; it is an entire nation.'Â
Hitler Expressed the German Will
Message from researcher Richard Koenigsberg:
               # I recently came across a translation of a 1936 book on Adolf Hitler written by Dr. Otto Dietrich. True, he was Hitler's press secretary. However, the following passage provides a sense of the RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIP that existed between Hitler and many Germans all those years ago:
# Adolf Hitler never said anything but what the people itself felt in the depths of its soul. He never did anything but what the entirety of the people wanted to do. He was not, is not, and never will be a dictator who forces the people to accept his personal wishes. That is why the people loves him, trusts him, rejoices in him. This man for the first time in history has allowed them to fully express themselves.
            # Hitler and Goebbels were not talking to "blank slates." The words they uttered RELEASED certain desires and fantasies, gave persons PERMISSION to act upon them. #
# The purpose of waging war for Hitler, I hypothesize, was to get persons to lay down their lives for Germany. Hitler said, "We do not want to have any other God-only Germany." He insisted that everyone worship and submit to the god which he worshipped and to which he had submitted. The German people (and Hitler himself) were to be sacrificial victims. "World Conquest" (and the Holocaust) proceed from the compulsion to require others to share his fantasy of submission and self-degradation. Hitler insists that NO ONE BE ALLOWED TO ESCAPE THE SACRIFICIAL OBLIGATION. There may be no exceptions--everyone must die for Germany. #
Hitler identified himself with Odin who is Edom.
Hitler saw the purpose of his existence to be primarily the destruction of the Jewish People.
Hitler had declared:
#... we are animated by an inexorable resolve to sieze the Evil [the Jews] by the roots and to exterminate it root and branch. To attain our aim we should stop at nothing, even if we must join forces with the Devil.. # 4
And that is what we did. He linked up with the devil.
Unity Mitford as an Example of Odin Worship
The Mitfords belonged to a minor aristocratic English family from Northumberland, who claimed to be descended from the Normans. In the Middle Ages they had been Border Reivers or professional raiders of the vulnerable. Algernone Bertram ("Bertie") Mitford (1857-1916) had invested in a gold mine in the town of Swastika, Ontario, Canada. His granddaughter, Unity, was allegedly conceived in this town. The gold mine and town were named after the Sanskrit good-luck symbol known as ther Swastika. The swastika as a symbol is to be found in many culture including those of ancient Judea where it was depicted on the walls of a synagogue from Roman Times. Nevertheless from about the 1800s it began to be adopted by racist and anti-Jewish movements in Europe and associated with them. Bertie Mitford had adhered to doctrines of Aryan supremacy and German nationalism even before WWI. He was a friend of the composer Richard Wagner. Bertie was the grandfather of Unity and Diana Mitford. Diana Mitford married Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Union of Fascists. Her sister Unity Valkyrie Mitford allegedly also lost her virginity to Mosley. Unity and Diana Mitford travelled to Germany as part of the British delegation from the British Union of Fascists, to the 1933 Nuremberg Rally, after which Unity moved to Munich. Unity participated in numerous sexual orgies where she was blindfolded, bound, and ravaged by members of the Nazi party.
Unity found great humor in the degradation of the Jewish people. One evening she had dinner with Julius Streicher who was then the governor of the German province of Franconia in Western Germany. After the meal, Streicher had a handful of Jews brought in from the cellar and demanded that they eat grass, just to entertain his guests. This delighted Unity.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Unity told her friend Rosemary Peto:
 # It was such fun to have supper with Streicher as he'd have the Jews in after the meal. They'd be brought up from the cellar and be made to eat grass to entertain the guests.#
According to David R L. Litchfield ("Hitler's Valkyrie. The Uncensored Biography of Unity Mitford", 2014) Unity was fascinated with sexual depravity and created her own taboo art work. She had a fixation on Hitler and stalked him for a while before being invited in February 1935 to sit at his table in a pastry cafe. After that, according to her diary, they met once a fortnight. The liaison lasted until September 1939. Hitler demanded that the sexual encounters between Unity and her Nazi paramours continue. Unity was tasked with relating back to him details of her erotic activities. The middle name of Unity Valkyrie Mitford fascinated Hitler. The Valkyrie was imagined to be an immortal female who decided who would live or die during battles. The Valkyrie would then bring the dead to Odin in his Kingdom of the Dead. Hitler likened himself to Odin and Unity would played the part of the Valkyrie. Through this tale, Hitler convinced Unity that they could only be together in death. The notion was encouraged by Count Janos Almasy, a bisexual Hungarian aristocrat who also bedded Unity. Shortly before the beginning of WW2 1939 Hitler told Unity that it was time for her to wait for him on the other side. When war came, she shot herself in the head. The gunshot did not kill her however. The bullet lodged in the back of her brain and stayed there. This was after the outbreak of World War -2 . Unity was sent back to England via Switzerland which was neutral. Upon returning to England she partially recovered and would go around picking up airmen before dying of meningitis in 1948. She died believing that she would finally be reunited with Odin in the form of Hitler in the after life.
E1 Rosmerta and Esus
In Gaul Rosmerta was often depicted with the Roman god Mercury as her consort. Later Mercury was identified as Odin.
# Twenty-seven inscriptions to Rosmerta are listed by Jufer and Luginbhl, distributed in France, Germany and Luxembourg, corresponding mainly to the Roman provinces of Gallia Belgica and Germania Superior. An additional two inscriptions are known, one from Roman Dacia.#
# In Gaulish Celtic mythology, Rosmerta was the goddess of fire, warmth, and abundance. A flower queen and hater of marriage, Rosmerta was also the queen of death. A Celtic goddess of fertility and wealth, whose cult was widely spread in Northeast Gaul. # Rosmerta was the wife of Esus, the Gaulish Hermes. Her attributes are a cornucopia and a stick with two snakes.
# French folklorist Jean Markale identifies Esus instead with a type of god--the "horrible" sky god of magic, like Odin (whose victims were also tied to a tree and flailed), Math ap Mathonwy/Gwydion (lords of magic), and Uranus.
# Esus was identified with Mars and/or Mercury. Odin was usually equated with Mercury.
E2 Esus as the God of Fury
Jones's Celtic Encyclopedia
Likely originally Aisus, possibly from the PIE *eis- "passion", or *ais- "to respect". Thus the name means either "The Furious One" (like the Germanic Wodanaz, with whom Esus is often compared), or "The Respected One."
The god Esunertus/*Aisunertos may be a variaton on Esus, his name meaning "strong Esus," from nerto- "strength, power"
Christopher Gwinn: Esus, in my opinion, is an a-grade u-stem based on a PIE root *eis- "passion/fury" (making the name semantically the same as Germanic Wotanaz "Furious/Inspired God"). Alternately, I think it may be from PIE *ais- (2) "honor/respect".
E3. Odin as K'OZ in German
J. M. Kemble, 1848, 'The Saxons in England', 1849, volume 1, p.370:
# GEAT, in Old Norse GAUTR, in Old German K'OZ probably only another form of Wodin since in the Mythology of the north, Odin is Gautr.. # Source first brought to our attentions by Theta p.17.
E4. Qaws and Cos, the god of Edom
In royal texts from the Assyrian monarchs, Tiglath-pileser-3 (745-727 BCE) and Sennacherib (705-681), we encounter the names of Edomite rulers with names such as Qawsmalak ("the god Qaws is king") and Hairam. Esarhaddon (680-669), and Asurbanipal (669-631?) were the overlords of king Qawsgabar ("Qaws is mighty") [Mentioned in Esarhaddon's Prism B.] A seal of the latter has been excavated at Umm el-Biyara in Jordan.
Rendered as "Qaus" in Olmstead, 1931, p.253.
Qaus is sometimes rendered as Kias, Kos or as Cos.
"Kias" may be etymologically derivable from the name Esau father of Edom. "Esau" is spelt in Hebrew is as "ayin- sin- vav" and when the initial guttural "ayin" is emphasised and the end-vav inverted it would sound something like "KI-AS"!
# Josephus reports on Costobar, Herod's brother in law (the name is constructed with that of Cos, the chief Edomite God).# Stephen Langfur
Josephus. The Antiquities of the Jews, 15. 2539.
# Costobarus was an Idumean by birth, and one of principal dignity among them, and one whose ancestors had been priests to the Koze, whom the Idumeans had [formerly] esteemed as a god#
