Poem. Esau
The poem below is part of a series concerning Esau who was also known as Edom. Esau was the grandson of Abraham and the son of Isaac. Abraham and Isaac had the task of founding the Chosen People. They would have to reform mankind i.e. bring humanity to a higher level and reach an even higher standard themselves. In addition they would need to worship the Almighty and Keep the Law which in turn was concomitant with the right to dwell in the Promised Land. They would receive great blessings such as numbering a great multitude, possessing natural resources and wealth, Â the power to rule over others, and more. These blessings were both an outcome of fulfilling their tasks and a means to do so.
Isaac had two sons Esau and Jacob. They were twins but technically Esau had been born a few seconds earlier.
Esau was born red and hairy and was an outdoor hunter type.
Jacob had more of an indoor contemplative personality.
Isaac viewed his sons as together becoming the Chosen People. Esau would receive the Primary Blessings and have wealth and power while Jacob would look after the spiritual aspects. The intention of Isaac was that they should help and supplement each other.
Isaac was about to give the Blessing to Esau when Divine Providence through his wife Rebecca intervened.
Rebecca the mother of Jacob and Esau told Jacob to disguise himself as Esau and so receive the blessings from Isaac who was old and blind.
Jacob did so and the blessings were given to him. Unbeknown to Isaac, Jacob had already bought the Firstborn Right from Esau. When Isaac realized what had happened he confirmed that the blessings should go to Jacob. Jacob was later re-named Israel. Israel had twelve sons who became the 12 Tribes of Israel. One of these sons was Joseph, another was Judah. The Tribes of Israel split in two. One part was headed by Joseph, the other by Judah. Joseph had that part of the Primary Tasks entailing reforming humanity and in return receiving the blessings. Judah had to Keep the Law. In the future Judah and Joseph will re-unite and so will the two separate roles be merged into one. Meanwhile, Joseph in effect has taken on the role initially intended by Isaac for Esau. [The Almighty however had decreed in advance that it should go to Jacob/Israel and through him to Joseph.]
Esau also received a blessing of his own. Even though Esau would be subjected to Israel there would be times when he would throw off his yoke and even gain power over him. Not only that but in his own right he would possess fertile regions to dwell in and become a warrior race.
Descendants of Esau include elite ruling elements in many lands. Esau historically was especially dominant amongst the Roman and Germanic Peoples. These peoples were not on the whole descended from Esau but Edomites ruled over them and had a strong influence within them.
Judah became the Jewish People.
Most of the other Tribes were exiled and lost consciousness of their ancestry. They are known as the Lost Ten Tribes. Even though they lost knowledge as to who they were, the Ten Tribes remained as physical entities. In the eyes of Divine Providence they still had roles to fulfill.
Joseph became the English-Speaking Peoples.
The Other Tribes became various ethnicities in Western Europe.
Towards the End Times Joseph and Esau will war with each other. Joseph will ultimately be victorious but may suffer from initial reversals. After he overcomes Esau, Joseph will lead the other Tribes to re-unite with Judah.
The poem below in rough verse form refers to the above points.
Poem: Esau
The Story of Esau/Edom in Rhyming Verse
Esau was complete, red and hairy
A Macho guy, tough, no puny fairy.
He to Jacob was a brotherly twin
Carried together in maternal bin
Esau was eldest, first to emerge
Holding the ankle was brother Jack
in future their paths would diverge
Each to follow their own track.
Israel will find the way back.
The Savior of Israel shall not tarry
Joseph with Esau in war shall parry.
Jacob is Israel, while Esau is Edom
Two brothers fight over the Kingdom.
Esau seeks Power, Jacob wisdom.
Esau was a hunter and outgoing
Jacob a student staying inside
Learning to understand and knowing
Awareness of Truth to be his guide.
Esau sold Jacob the firstborn right
Gave it away for pottage, without a fight.
Esau to his father was select
Isaac thought Esau the elect.
Isaac told Esau to bring him deer
Rebecca did chance to overhear.
She dressed Jacob in Esau's clothes
Jacob as his brother did pose.
Esau from the hunt came home
Found himself unblessed and all alone
The blessing to his brother given
Jacob to Esau remains unforgiven.
Isaac the blessings to Jacob did assure
Still for Esau he had one blessing more.
Esau would be a warrior mighty and strong
In the use of violence see no wrong.
Esau would rule and live by the sword
Over many nations he would be lord.
He would have wealth and fertile earth
In the eyes of Gentiles prove his worth.
Esau wished vengeance and Jacob to kill
For Esau murder means a rush and thrill.
His descendants went to Sparta and Rome
Later they sat on the German Throne.
Amongst Joseph too are Edomites present
They hate the Jews and Israelite Tribes
Brit-Am and the Bible they strongly resent
They use lies and flattery as bribes
To hurt Brit-Am and the Hebrew cause.
They work against us without pause.
HaShem will help us to overcome
We will enjoy it and have some fun.
Hear O Israel our God is One.
Abraham was given goals
Torah and Bible Laws to keep
Reform mankind, blessings reap
These were two different roles.
Isaac wished Esau to be "The Man"
Rebecca wanted the young one
Only Jacob was able to say, I can!
To Torah, Rulership, and bullion.
Jacob to Isaac did Esau Replace
Jacob continued the Hebrew Race.
Jacob was later renamed Israel
Before God and man was he able.
From Israel came twelve tribes
Joseph of these twelve was One
Another Judah, who to Law ascribes.
Joseph to mankind became a beacon.
Joseph against Esau will fight.
They shall war with all their might
Joseph over Edom shall win.
Joseph re-unites to his kin.
Judah and Joseph in the right.
Going together in Divine Light.
