End Times. Universal Rule of Israel. Isaiah chapter 2
1 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Now it will come about that
In the last days
The mountain of the house of the LORD
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.
A Mountain in Biblical symbolism represents country or people. Israel will be the chief country of the world and all other peoples will come to it for instruction and guidance.
People will want to be good. Goodness brings success and happiness even now though we do not always see this immediately. It is hidden from us.
We want instant gratification even at the cost of suffering later. Everyone is like this to some degree, some more than others.
3 And many peoples will come and say,
'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.'
For the law will go forth from Zion
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
All the world will be taught from out of Jerusalem. The peoples will come to Jerusalem to learn. Those who come will go back to teach others. From Judah there will go out those to bring the Lost Ten Tribes back.
#....The exiles of Judah and Benyamin [i.e. the present-day 'Jews'] are destined to go unto them [the Ten Tribes] and bring them back in order to merit with them the Messianic Era and life in the World-To-Come. This is as it says, 'In those days the house of Judah shall go unto the house of Israel and they shall come together out of the land of the north unto the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers' (Jeremiah 3:18).
-Yalkut Shimeoni, Song of Solomon 905.
4 And He will judge between the nations,
And will render decisions for many peoples;
And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up sword against nation,
And never again will they learn war.
In the End Days the Temple will be rebuilt and all the Peoples of the World will come up to Jerusalem for instruction (2:2-4). There will be no more war. The energies formerly expended in Warfare will be channeled to economic enterprises (2:4). There shall be eternal peace. The armaments industry will turn its attention to other pursuits.
Energies now spent in planning destruction or in preventing it will go into finding ways to make people better, healthier, more enlightened, happier, and more moral towards teach other. This can be done.
5 Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
The House of Jacob is called upon to go in the way of the Almighty (2:5).
Jacob stands for Israel. When the name of "Jacob" is juxtaposed with "Israel" then "Jacob" represents "Judah" but where the term "Jacob" stands alone it often refers to the Ten Tribes.
Jack and James are forms of the name Jacob.
The Union Jack is the flag of Britain. The King James Bible (as pointed out by Dempsey Brutton) is the major Bible in use. Jamestown was the first settlement in America.
The word "Yank"Â meaning "American" is also a form of Jacob. Â
6 For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob,
Because they are filled with influences from the east,
And they are soothsayers like the Philistines,
And they strike bargains with the children of foreigners.
Some explain this verse as applying to God (cf. Rashi first option) who has abandoned His people because they have gone in the way of foreign peoples.
The verse may also be rendered as reading,
6 For You have abandoned Your people, O house of Jacob,
Another version (Rashi, option 2) applies the verse to Israel, "the House of Jacob", who have stopped acting as they should. They have abandoned being themselves. It is as if they no longer belong to their own people.
# The prophet reproves them and says to them, You have abandoned Your people, O House of Jacob, abandoned the good deeds through which you were recognized as a people, i.e. stopped acting in a way that distinguished you as the House of Jacob # (Rashi, option 2).
We need to become ourselves and to act as Hebrews which is what we are.
Eastern Religions are fashionable today among Western peoples (2:6). Isaih speaks against Occult religions and Philosophies. The Bible condemns NEW AGE type attitudes.
Be aware of paganism. These religions are unclean and dangerous.
Until now the House of Jacob (Yanks and Union Jack) have denied their Israelite origins and brotherhood with Judah ("You have abandoned Your people, O House of Jacob ") and followed pagan foreign practices.
Antagonism towards the Jews and the State of Israel is against the will of the Almighty.
7 Their land has also been filled with silver and gold
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land has also been filled with horses
And there is no end to their chariots.
The House of Jacob is immensely wealthy and full of automobile-chariots (2:7).
There are masses of motor vehicles racing to and fro across the land, and cars lined up bumper to bumper or travelling quite close together at high speeds throughout the land.
There is something good and positive in this. Why are there not more accidents than there are? People risk their lives every time they step into the car. Their basic instincts and spiritual qualities save them from crashing into each other more than they do. All drivers know that there is something spiritual in them that saves them from accidents.
8 Their land has also been filled with idols;
They worship the work of their hands,
That which their fingers have made.
Present-day lack of religion does emphasize human acheivements and rational explanations rather than spiritual ones.
9 So the common man has been humbled
And the man of importance has been abased,
But do not forgive them.
Their culture is materialistic and emphasizes the acquisition of wealth in an idolatrous way (2:8) at the expense of human dignity (2:9).Â
10 Enter the rock and hide in the dust
From the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty.
 They will try to take refuge in underground shelters from the wrath of God (2:10).
"ENTER INTO THE ROCK": Nuclear shelters.
11 The proud look of man will be abased
And the loftiness of man will be humbled,
And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
12 For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning
Against everyone who is proud and lofty
And against everyone who is lifted up,
That he may be abased.
13 And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up,
Against all the oaks of Bashan,
Lebanon can mean "Albion" or Britain (the two names derive from the same root and have the same meaning).
Bashan is east of the Jordan in Syria where some of the Lost Ten Tribes were. It was also known as Basilia which name was later applied to part of the Khazars and to Scandinavia. The Khazars were also mainly descended from the Lost Ten Tribes. Many of the Khazars converted to Judaism though it may be that only a small minority of Jews (if any) actually descend from them today.
14 Against all the lofty mountains,
Against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 Against every high tower,
Against every fortified wall,
16 Against all the ships of Tarshish
And against all the beautiful craft.
"Tarshish" can refer to the Atlantic Ocean area and to the USA as explained in our work, "The Tribes". Historically Tarshish was centered in Spain with colonies in Gaul and Britain. It was just past the Straits of Gibraltar and so the name (in Biblical exegesis) came to represent the whole Atlantic Ocean area and in a future sense Noth America.
An article from Gunnar Jeremia Gishron of Jerusalem (in our magazine "BRIT-AM") traces the dollar to a coin issued by a Swedish monarch. The original coin included the name of God in Hebrew and the motto in Swedish "In God WE Trust"!
Later the Spanish adapted the coin and the USA took it from the Spanish. The Spanish version bore the Heraldric sign of the Spanish Royal family. This represented the two pillars of Hercules at Gibraltar. These pillars gave rise to the dollar "$" symbol (with two strokes not one)! The ancient northern Israelites (Lost Ten Tribes) wrote Hebrew interspersed with Egyptian-like hieroglyphics. Were we to use the hieroglyphic system today instead of writing "AMERICA" or the USA all the time we would substitute "$" as a hieroglyph representing the USA. This one sign ($) could only in the context stand for the USA. This is the sign of Gibraltar, i.e. the sign of Tarshish.
Isaiah (60:9) says that ships of Tarshish will be the leaders in returning the exiles of Israel.
 Steven Collins quotes the noted scholar, Dr. Cyrus Gordon, as suggesting ("Before Columbus," by Dr. Cyrus Gordon, USA, 1971, p.137) that "Tarshish" was across the Atlantic and located in Mexico, a source of many silver mines. Â
17 The pride of man will be humbled
And the loftiness of men will be abased;
And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
God will be glorified and Israel (Lebanon, Bashan, Tarshish) along with all other nations humbled (isaiah 2:11-17).
18 But the idols will completely vanish.
Subterranean nuclear-proof cities like the Russians have built all over Russia? The Scandinavians and Swiss have also invested heavily in nuclear proof underground refuge-type installations and so (perhaps on a lesser scale) have other nations. Until recently every home in Switzerland was obligated to provide itself with a nuclear-bomb proof shelter.
19 Men will go into caves of the rocks
And into holes of the ground
Before the terror of the Lord
And the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.
20 In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats
Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,
Which they made for themselves to worship,
21 In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs
Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.
When people run and hide under the earth they will discard their idolatry and acknowledge that only the God of Israel is true (2:18-21).
22 Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;
For why should he be esteemed?
Only God decides what will happen. We should turn firstly to HIM before turning to others. We should always obey HIM.
