These identifying notifications are added to in other books of the Bible. Even so, the Book of Genesis is the first book and the proofs it contains concerning the Ten Tribes are still amongst the most powerful.
Below we begin to examine Biblical Promises and Prophecies more or less in the order of their appearance, book by book, chapter by chapter the following remarks should be noted:
We are concentrating on salient points. The short explanations given below are derived from our detailed commentaries, e.g. Biblical Proof. Those who wish to receive more information and details concerning some point or other are advised to read relevant articles and commentaries on the subject. These are to be found on our web-sites. Most of the points below will already be familiar to our veteran readers. Nevertheless the presentation is a little different. The knowledge is very important and it helps to review it.

GENESIS. THE BOOK OF BEGINNINGS
A Blessing to Others
Abraham the first Hebrew was promised that through him would all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:3, 26:4).
Abraham was will FIRSTLY to become a great nation and AFTER THAT be a source of blessing to all other peoples [Genesis 12:2] .
Those who bless the Seed of Abraham would be blessed and those that curse them will be cursed [Genesis 12:3].
Abraham was to become a great and mighty nation in order that all nations of the earth should be blessed through him (Genesis 18:18).
Abraham was promised that several nations would emerge from him as well as kings and rulers of nations. This was to be an everlasting covenant (Genesis 17:6-7).
The Blessings were to be given in order that the seed of Abraham should Keep the way of the LORD, do justice and judgement. The Blessings were a means to fulfill the national Task as much as a reward and promise. All nations of the earth were to receive a blessing via the Seed of Abraham [Genesis 18:19, 22:18]
Abraham was promised that his seed would gain possession of all major worldwide strategic thoroughfares, the Gates of their Enemies (Genesis 22:17).
They would be as numerous as the stars of heaven and as the sand of the seashore (Genesis 22:17).
The Blessings were Unconditional. They would have to be fulfilled at some time or other, no matter what. They were NOT contingent on good behavior (Genesis 28:15 cf. Numbers 23:19-20).
All these blessings and proofs must be considered in the context of all the other blessings and proofs and it must be seen how each one fulfills and supplements the others.
Geneaology of the Blessings to Israel
The covenant with Abraham was transferred to Isaac (Genesis 17:21, 21:21).
Isaac begat the twins Esau and Jacob. Esau was also to receive great blessings (Genesis 27:39) cf. Austria and Germany.
Esau was to live by his sword and become a warrior ruling people such as the Ancient Romans and part of the Germans, and the nobility of Central and Eastern Europe (Genesis 27:40). "And Esau hated Jacob" (Genesis 27:41).
Jacob received the blessing of the Covenant BUT Esau did not (Genesis 27:37, 28:2-3 cf. Malachi 1:2-3).
Jacob was blessed that he should receive the blessing of Abraham and Isaac and become a Community of Peoples ("Kahal Amim" in the Hebrew, Genesis 28:2-3).
Jacob was given the additional name ISRAEL (Genesis 32:8, 35:10). Jacob (Israel) had Twelve Sons (Genesis 36:22). These became the Twelve Tribes. One of the sons of Jacob was Joseph who had two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
From the children of Jseph emerged the English-speaking nations. Ephraim became Britain and her offshoots. Manasseh gave rise to the USA.
Joseph took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim to be blessed by Jacob.
Manasseh and Ephraim were each to be counted as separate Tribes [Genesis 48:5].
Ephraim and Manasseh were to rule over the other nations of the world [Genesis 48:16].
Ephraim would be greater than Manasseh. Ephraim would become great as soon as he became a nation even if he lacked the population and economic basis. Manasseh would also be great but much later and only after already developing his economic and population base [Genesis 48:19]. This fits the history of Britain for Ephraim and of the USA for Manasseh.
See Ephraim Comes First! Malbim on Joseph (Genesis chs 48 and 49):
In the End Times Joseph will return to the Land of Israel [Genesis 48:20]. Joseph will have been blessed more than the rest of the Tribes put together [Genesis 48:21].
Each of the Tribes received its own blessing (Genesis 49:28).
Before he died Israel (Jacob) predicted what would happen to the Twelve Tribes in the End Times (Genesis 49:1).
Reuben would be prominent, dignified, and powerful but would not be the leader (Genesis 49:3-4 cf. 1-Chronicles 5:1-2).
Simeon and Levi would have similar qualities, as brothers. They would scattered throughout the rest of Israel and known for fierce fanaticism, and as guns for hire as law enforcers and also as teachers (Genesis 49:5-7).
The Righteousness of Judah will be acknowledged by the other Tribes. The ruler shall come from Judah. He will be an old-new nation like Modern Israel. [This point apparently was first made by Steven Collins]. Other nations, especially those around about, will be afraid of Judah. The Messiah shall come from Judah and bring about an ingathering of the Tribes. Judah (or the Messiah on behalf of Judah) will take revenge on the Gentiles who persecuted him.
Zebulon will dwell on the shores of the Seas (like the Netherlands) and be a major sea-port again like the Netherlands (Genesis 49:13).
Issachar will be a neutral country in a mountainous area like Switzerland. His people would be hard-working home-bound types like those of Finland and Switzerland (Genesis 49:14-15).
Dan will assert his Israelite ancestry. Dan will strike the enemy from behind and save Israel (Genesis 49:16-18). Dan is Denmark and the enemy maybe Germany.
Gad will be split into different sections that nevertheless act in concert. They may be conquered but later overcome their conquerors (Genesis 49:19).
Asher will be rich and enjoy a high standard of living (Genesis 49:20). We identify Asher with part of the people of Ireland and Scandinavia.
Naphtali will be like a female deer and have good and bad qualities. Eventually he will utter good words on behalf of all Israel (Genesis 49:21). We identify Naphtali with Norway.
Joseph will have been blessed with a great many people, populating overseas colonies such as Canada, The USA, Australia, New Zealand , and South Africa (Genesis 49:22).
Joseph will have many enemies who will fire missiles at him and hate him. Joseph will beat them all. The God of Israel will help him. Joseph will be blessed with control of much of the world mineral resources, and with agricultural plenty. Joseph will be blessed more than the rest of the Tribes put together (Genesis 49:23-26). In fact Joseph will be blessed more than the rest of the world put together. These prophecies were fulfilled in the British Empire, the British Dominions, and in the USA
Benjamin (like Judah and the Messiah) will take vengeance on the enemies of Israel (Genesis 49:27).
In this sketch we have skipped over the symbolic significance contained in many of the Biblical Stories. For instance, we should have mentioned that just as Joseph saved his fathers house, his brothers, the Kingdom of Egypt and much of the known world from famine and supported him so too will his descendants help the rest of humanity as Britain and the USA did.
Joseph saw the third generation of the children of Ephraim and the children of Machir son of Manasseh who were brought up on Joseph's knees [Genesis 50:22]. Machir gave his name to America.
This may indicate an arousal of conscious awareness amongst the descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh of their Israelite ancestry and their descending from Joseph.
