#2. BIWF (British Israel) Ambivalence? Former British Chief Rabbi Publicly Mentions British Descent from the Ten Tribes

Hi Yair
We are rather dismayed at your intemperate criticism of our
British Israel World Federation.
We have no Nazi-type publications on our listings, and as
far as
the USA is concerned have never been aligned with any Klu

Ours is a non political interdenominational Christian
movement which has the sole purpose
of demonstrating the the integrity of Holy Scripture and the
faithfulness of Almighty God to
His ancient Israel covenants.

Brit-Am Reply:
Shalom,
You protest statements we made but do not relate to the facts we quoted alongside them.
Nevertheless, it does seem that most members of BIWF are probably not anti-Jewish and BIWF does not concern itself with Jewish or State of Israel matters.
When exceptions do occur, as in the quoted letter of Michael Clark regarding the speech by Rabbi Sacks, then the impression is likely to be positive rather than anything else.
Your letter is correct.
We may have exaggerated and given the wrong impression of BIWF in general.
On the other hand,
We looked through the book list of Covenant Publishing which is the official book-selling outlet for BIWF.
There is a long list of books to be seen online.
You also sell at least one of our books, "The Tribes" (3rd edition), and a few titles by Steven Collins.
We looked through the first 80 (approximately) books listed. [Ours was not one of the 80, neither were those of Steven Collins. This may be because we are older titles and the books are presented in order of age?]
We have read very few, if any of these works, but in some cases are familiar with the authors and with the genre and/or by the title are able to discern the main theme.
Anyway, many of the books somehow or other concern the identity of the Lost Tribes and that Israelites are identifiable with the English-speaking peoples. Some of the works seem to concern Biblical subjects in general. There are also some Christian devotional works.
Four of the works appear to be anti-Jewish. [I sent you the titles in a separate e-mail]. Some of the others may contain anti-Jewish remarks but only as incidental comments.
None of those in the first 80 appear to be pro-Jewish.
Anti-Jewish elements are present but it could be claimed that they are only a minority.
But they are there and that is where the balance appears to incline.
One of the books (authored by Des Thomas), was recently acclaimed by known exterminationist type haters of Jews on at least one Jew-hating forum and also in a circular sent out by a rabid racist reprobate who has an agenda to attack the Jewish people.Â
Covenant Publishers seems to be the only outlet for this work.
I have not read it but have seen quotations and descriptions of it. It is against the Jewish People. It is being used as ammunition to attack them and to justify doing away with them.
This is a new book.
Why is BIWF publishing it?Â
It does not seem to have anything to do with the Ten Tribes.
What benefit does BIWF see in stocking this work? Â The work is based on lies and anyone who is rational knows it.
The sole purpose appears to be a desire to hurt the Jews.
The work in question is by Des Thomas from the USA.
In addition, in 2008, there was a BIWF organized
"Manasseh-America" Conference
http://www.biwf-usa.com/Manasseh-America-Conference.html
Amongst the guest speakers were:
"Prolific Kingdom Author/Teacher Des Thomas", a neo-Nazi type,
and
James W. Bruggeman.
Bruggeman was active online in circles of Holocaust deniers, Neo-Nazi types, and German patriots in the USA who were also anti-Jewish.
He also once wrote a booklet attacking our work "The Tribes".
Admittedly, BIWF staff are not the sort who go to bed and wake up in the morning with an obsession against the Jews.
But some of their fellow-travellers are.
Something is wrong.
There is a tilt against the Jewish People which could have serious consequences.
In light of the above and the other matters we wrote of can you honestly say that our statements about BIWF were incorrect?
This also interferes with us.
People know about this anti-Jewish tendency in BIWF and look askance at us because of it.
We lose out because of the anti-Jewish slant of BIWF.
BIWF does not seem to benefit from this but rather may be giving expression to an inner urge?
